The Arcane Powerhouse Rogue

The Rise of Shadows expansion brought with it some nifty spell damage synergies and the lackeys, which both build the foundation of this deck. And it's not even unreasonably expensive.

With spell power and staying power Mana Reservoir is the secret star of the deck! The two drop makes Street Trickster look gosh darn clunky in comparison. It's just an enormous upgrade, and even with two less health still surprisingly resilient. It also is our main enabler for Spellbook Binder and Arcane Watcher. These two help us with board presence, draw and tempo in the early game. The former may only draw on curve if we have got the coin, but it still is not to be underestimated.

Secondly the lackey package EVIL Miscreant and EVIL Cable Rat are great value generators in their own right, but combined with Heistbaron Togwaggle they truly shine. Sadly I'm running low on deck space, otherwise I would include two of EVIL Cable Rat. Same with Arcane Watcher by the way.

Another card creation machine is Hench-Clan Burglar. No matter if you're looking for more burn to close out the game or single/multi target removal, this little rascal got you covered. I have to say, between the lackeys and this card this deck packs easily enough card and value generation be just as fun as Burgle Rogue without having to make everything about burgle synergies.

With all the spell slingin' going on Archmage Vargoth feels right at home here, with tons of synergies. With just +1 spell damage on board he can boost your Fan of Knives into a Flamestrike. Other notable mentions are Shiv for added card draw, Sinister Strike for a double whammy spell boosted dagger to the face or Sap for a one-sided makeshift Vanish!

Replacements

For those of you who want or need to go more budget, Heistbaron Togwaggle can be considered a flex point in this deck and be replaced by a tech or tempo card. Although indubitably powerful, most of the time the deck works consistently and well enough without him. Potential alternatives could be Acid Swamp Ooze, Mind Control Tech or Spellbreaker. You might even want to try Headcrack for sustained damage against control-heavy decks like Warriors.
