Like every Zoo deck we got enough 1 Mana cards to secure an early board advantage with cards like Flame Imp & Voidwalker. After those openers we can follow up with the name giver of this deck, Magic Carpet to make sure we get the most value out of each card. While we do have some midgame cards like Defender of Argus and Sea Giant, the true hero I mean villain here has to be Arch-Villain Rafaam as he gives us a whole deck of Legendary Minions and saves us in the later stages of the game
We can always play aggressively as we do have potential 14 damage burst in form of Leeroy Jenkins & 2x Soulfire. In total we utilize 7 Rise of Shadows cards and make an old deck feel fresh. Enjoy playing!
2x EVIL Genius
Lackeys are good, actually they are great! This guy has some acceptable stats, destroys one of your Scarab Egg and then provides value, I like it
2x Magic Carpet
The Hobgoblin for Standard. This is one of the reasons Zoo is so fun at the moment, make your minions get in there and obliterate the opponent with some 1 drops
20% of the opponents health in one single card, there is no more to say than this has to be in here
The Man, the villain, the "I make this deck full golden" guy Rafaam is not just a giant Taunt you have to go through, he also gives us another win condition if our SMOrc plan did not work out. 10/10 would craft him in golden again
2x Sea Giant
Remember Flamewreathed Faceless? This is him now. He just goes in and together with Defender of Argus you got an unbeatable wall against other aggressive decks

Playing a version of this right now and it's so much fun. Love smashing Tempo Rogues with it.
Decided to just auto concede against Warrior so I took out Rafaam and put in Cauldron. Also swapped Crystallizers out for Saronite Task Masters.
Actually fairly rare for the Carpet to actually provide much to your minions, but it absorbs a tonne of damage and removal as people are terrified of it.
Warrior are usually Pirates though, I´d auto concede against Odd but Pirates is an easy match up if 1 carpet sticks
In Standard though...?
Confused the mode ^^
I got a question, if you have to decide between crafting Leroy or Solarium, what do you suggest?
Thank you very much
Such a great deck!
One is warlock specific, the other can be played in any deck. That is the way you have to think about cards when considering crafting one
Yes but in order to build this deck, which is more important do you think? or wich one could be easily substitute for a non-legendary one?
Go with Soularium for this deck, Leeroy is just a bigger Wolfrider :D
Wow that deck is working surprisingly well...
I am not that much of a great zoo player, i never really played zoolock. Still i went 7-0 right from the start. Almost in every game i did a mistake...so many options with tapping and all those 1-2 mana cards:)
So far i never used the carpet, except as a taunt body and to bait out a snipe. I guess i do something wrong.
I will check your vid to see your decision making. Last season i went legend with your pala deck. This deck definately feels like it could bring me somewhere, i just dont think i have the nerves for rank 3-1 again.
Cheers^^
you will get better at the deck and start to learn the intricacies. I think the carpets are meant to be played on curve sometimes, but also saved to drop down other things with to help clear.
I'm still a novice at this version and it's a brand new mechanic, so I'm not 100% on the best plays for it myself. there will be lots of videos of people playing it though at high level to get a better idea.
my favourite right now as well, mate. try adding 1 witches cauldron for extra insanity.
I'm running a slightly different set up, but they're practically the same deck really.
I must try out soul fires, I've not needed them so far though.
saronite task master is an amazing 1 drop though. I usually take one or 2 of those, and if I just take one I'm usually running a cauldron.
I want to try running a hungry crab though for anti murloc tech.
I made a variation from this deck which seems really more consistent:
- 1 Arch-Villain Rafaam Tooooooo slow. This is ZOO.
-2 x Crystallizer. not strong enough, no battle cry except one that might kill you, no deathrattle.
-1 Grim Rally. getting 2 in hand is a mess. You want a surprise boost, but one is enough.
+ 2 Witch's Cauldron. This card is a killer in this deck. Try it and you wont ever remove it.
+ 2 Saronite Taskmaster. Really strong to get board control on first few turns... which is all you need to win.
I went 12-1 on the brawl and 75% on ladder, give it a try!
In addition to those changes, a cheap replacement for The Soularium can be Rafaam's Scheme which is a good combo with Knife Juggler, Sea Giant, Grim Rally, EVIL Genius or a Witch's Cauldron on next turn
2 cauldrons is maybe overkill mate. I sometimes run one myself though.
saronites are a great choice though for an on curve 1 drop. likewise I sometimes only run one of these as well, but have started running 2 now.
you should use rafaam though mate, he's a really good card in this deck.
I dont have Rafaam on EU so the choice is quick ^^
I wont craft him for this deck though because almost every game are sealed before T7, and he we would be a dead card for those 7 first turns which are all this deck is about.
The 2 cauldrons i wont ever take away because they give you lots of cards, they act as a taunt, and the opponent cant read you anymore!
The saronite is great , but you wont play him at the same time depending on what class you face, so maybe you can cut one (to include Rafaam if you feel so :)
5-0 with your recommendations! I agree with your logic on all the replacements, and Witch's Cauldron.. just wow. It even feeds itself with the Voltaic Burst that it generates. Absolute shenanigans!! Too good in this deck to not put in, already synergies with so much of the deck and waaaaay to much fun. Cheers on the deck Solem
For any one wanting to make this deck DO IT it’s so worth it I went from rank 16 to rank 5 but I most add take out crystalizers there not very useful replace it with Raid leader.
Congrats!
I want to check this deck out but wanna chillax on dust if possible. Arch thief Rafaam better than Soularium? I have neither of those legendaries. Also, I think Rafaam will have the ability to be played in control decks now or in the future. I'm leaning more towards Rafaam. Need that other opinion to push it over the top.
U need both and I promise it’s worth I went from rank 16 to 5 this deck is unreal I win at least 70 percent of the time only problem is hand lock and rouge and bomb warrior if u don’t start up railed enough, Also dragon mage will beat you 90 percent of the time but it’s not a popular deck regardless
I mean, what else would you like to craft so we could figure out the best solution here
