UPDATE 3
Good news everyone! I've perfected the deck! (this wasn't a professor putricide pun but i just read it after i typed it and it was amazing)
This deck is now amazing and craftable. Insane value becomes more insane if you add some tempo too!!!
I think in last 2 days i just pefected the control shaman archetype in this expansion. I've worked hard and it paid off. When i first started this deck my win rate was at %26. Now it's %63 and i count the old games too! Which is incredible.
I explained all the changes except one in the video below and that one is -1 Rain of Toads , +1 Barista Lynchen
Rain of Toads is a good card but it avoids getting my Hagatha's Scheme 's early with Storm Chaser 's and it's terrible. I lost games just because of that.
Barista Lynchen is not a must have card but helps alot. I've had some amazing combos with it. If you are lucky enough she can win you more games!
I'll upload some insane games i've had while i was streaming so go check them out below when they are ready!
Thanks for all the kindness and support! And suggestions! You guys are amazing.
So, after all those likes and good comments, why havent i done a proper guide yet, So here it is!
THEORYCRAFTING PHASE AND MAIN IDEA OF THE DECK:
Some of you may know that there is a really good professional Hearthstone player named Viper. In Rastakhan's Rumble expansion, he joined a HGC tour with a unique and unheard of Control Shaman deck named Peanut Shaman. The deck was so fun and difficult to play and I loved it. Played it alot. So before Rise of Shadows came out, I saw cards like Hagatha's Scheme, Archivist Elysiana and I thought that I can continue Viper's amazing legacy even better! So here it is, the heavy Control Fatigue Value Shaman is here!
Main idea of this deck is stall the game to lategame, then take advantage of late game value from the cards like Swampqueen Hagatha, Archivist Elysiana, Krag'wa, the Frog, Shudderwock and stuff like that.
If the game goes into the Fatigue phase, No one can keep up with your value game and you win.
CARD EXPLANATIONS:
Earth Shock: Who doesn't like a cheap silence? And the infamous Twilight Drake killer!
Omega Mind: Cheaper and more powerful Reno Jackson basically. Use this with Hagatha's Scheme in lategame and see the concede screen from your opponent.
Haunting Visions: It's basically a free spell. You just choose according to the state you are in which is cool. Also a nice combo with Krag'wa, the Frog
Lightning Storm: Nice AoE against aggro decks. Also a good combo with Bloodmage Thalnos
Hex: Classic Removal, Fantastic with Krag'wa, the Frog
Storm Chaser: The most important key card to this deck. It prevents late game dead Hagatha's Scheme draws, and enables Sunreaver Warmage
Hagatha's Scheme: The reason this deck happened
Krag'wa, the Frog: Insane value card. Just one more Hex sometimes means winning instantly. Good combo with Haunting Visions
Swampqueen Hagatha: Insane value card. Good combo with Barista Lynchen [/card]and [card]Shudderwock
Hagatha the Witch: Perfect value generator and good board clear, The heart of the deck.
Walking Fountain: Amazing powehouse, minion remover and survivability.
Shudderwock: This is not a shudderwock deck so i hate when people label this as Shudderwock Shaman. Shudderwock is here to support in every scenario. Good combo with all other battlecry cards. Especially Krag'wa, the Frog
Acidic Swamp Ooze: There are tons of weapons in this meta, it's a must! Good combo with Barista Lynchen and Shudderwock
Bloodmage Thalnos: Cheap draw, Cheap removal support. Amazing.
Doomsayer : Good stall option, amazing against aggro. Fits well with other stall cards.
Proud Defender: Tar Creeper on Steroids. Helps with the board early.
Barista Lynchen: Win condition and almost a tech card against Tesspionage Rogues with Acidic Swamp Ooze value. Otherwise good with Swampqueen Hagatha and all battlecry minions.
Sunreaver Warmage: Great tempo swing in early-mid game and has perfect synergy with our deck.
Zilliax: Necessary card in every control deck.
Archivist Elysiana: Amazing fatigue preventer, bomb removal. Also you can basically rebuild your deck against OTK decks. Brain of the deck.
Saving incase of power outage, I'm continuing this right now
Current state of the deck and the future plans video:
GAME VIDEO FOOTAGE!!!
INSANE EMERISS COULDN'T SAVE HIM FROM MAX VALUE
BARISTA IS INSANE WITH COIN!
ELYSIANA IS NOW ANTI OTK TECH!
FIGHTING AGGRO IS LIKE FIGHTING A MOSQUITO!!!!
0 MANA PYROBLAST TO FACE IN 2019???
Thanks for all the likes and comments, suggestions. This is not the final change, i will update it again and again.
Thanks for everyone who made a video about it, here's the spotlight videos people have done.
Even? LOL. Not in my league. I haven't beaten a single one while I beat everything else. And considering that warrior decks are more than 50% the decks I face I am not doing really well
I haven't lost to a single Bomb warrior, it is so easy to counter them with Elysiana and a second Ooze. Also, do NOT play Storm Chasers once they put 3 or more bombs into your deck.
Once you have 15-17 cards left in the deck and Elysiana, Shudderwock in hand and maybe Hagatha in play, feel free to play Elysiana and it's almost impossible to lose.
EDIT: Also, I still have Witch's Brew in my deck as I find it very helpful against more aggro decks when I don't draw Omega Mind in time. Plus, it can offer even more survivability with Krag'wa, the Frog
Sorry but you play vs noobs. Yes you can play the survival game but you have no weapons to kill them. You have no threat against them. They remove everything you play and at end game they have TONS of armor and surprise surprise they have Elysiana too while you have finished all your healing resources and the can slowly wait till you die. I’ve seen this many times believe me
Such a fun deck to play!
Thank you!
Love this deck, helps cement Shaman as my favorite class.
Thanks alot!
Replacement options for Barista Lynchen? I see that Far Sight is an option would that be viable or is it worth crafting?
Thank you.
Barista Lynchen is neutral, if you have the dust just go for it
Far Sight is OK but it has the most value in OTK kinda decks in my opinion. For replacing Barista you can add Sandbinder or second Haunting Visions
I advise on running far sight, the 3 mana cost reduction is super good. Playing sight on turn 3 and swampqueen hagatha on 4 feels incredible (can run duskvar horror on 5 if neccesery)
I agree that Far Sight would be good in this deck, but what would you cut from the list? I feel like cutting Shudderwock as that feels more like a "win more" card in this deck, but other than that I am not sure... maybe an Earth Shock?
yeha cutting things is making it complicated. If there were 32 cards in a deck i would definitely add Far Sight.
Oh my god this deck is so amazing and so fun at the same time. I am absolutely in love with Walking Fountain. Sooo many instant concedes right after I play it, so freaking hilarious. I honestly think this is one of the best shaman decks ever made, ever. Such a unique combination of cards that I don't think we've seen much of in hearthstone. Still learning how to master it but geez its just so much fun to play. I would never think a deck would be able to actually utilize Archivist Elysiana and this deck does that perfectly. Archivist Elysiana is so awesome at end game and brings a way to play hearthstone that I have never done before. Absolutely phenomenal job with this deck guys and I can't wait to play more of it.
Thanks for the amazing feedback! you rock!
great deck, but if u analize wins/loses - it's clear u need mass Hex (so +Zentimo)
also autolose to something like MechCtun Warrior, and if no early Ooze - autolose to Rogue.
thats when u lose with this deck.
and u can get some incredible value from second haunting visions
Tried zentimo, it sucks.
I can defeat OTK decks with Elysiana, %90 of the times a counter card comes or i just build aggresive deck for it.
Rogue is hard, but not unwinnable. Barista helps.
But i must say that.....
Zentimo really really sucked in this deck, tried him alot
went 8–3 in the Brawliseum (one loss to a disconnect and one to braindead misplay i did) with your prior version without barista. i had no problems dealing with bomb warriors or murlock shamans. i guess without the dc and my horrble misplay it wouldnt be that hard to get to 12 wins with that deck. performed pretty well thumbs up. but ill keep the prior version without barista.
So this deck WAS great, but after UPDATE#3 my win rate has gone wayyyy done. I feel like the deck doesn't know what it wants to do--it's neither a tempo deck or a control deck, and defiinitely isn't a stall deck anymore (like it was originally), and overall doesn't do any one thing well.
I think the double Doomsayer (which was taken out initially on purpose in the second iteration) is too much.
Also removing Witch's Brew I believe.
Glad you're having success with it, but I'm losing to straight tempo decks as well as almost every Druid I see (which are 50% of the matches for me atm).
I updated it according to logs. Not my personal opinion. I got rid of every bad win rate cards. And it worked out for me. It's unlucky that you fight aginst token druid because it's a bad match up. Logs will be updated tomorrow and we'll see. I can change it according to it again.
