UPDATE 3
Good news everyone! I've perfected the deck! (this wasn't a professor putricide pun but i just read it after i typed it and it was amazing)
This deck is now amazing and craftable. Insane value becomes more insane if you add some tempo too!!!
I think in last 2 days i just pefected the control shaman archetype in this expansion. I've worked hard and it paid off. When i first started this deck my win rate was at %26. Now it's %63 and i count the old games too! Which is incredible.
I explained all the changes except one in the video below and that one is -1 Rain of Toads , +1 Barista Lynchen
Rain of Toads is a good card but it avoids getting my Hagatha's Scheme 's early with Storm Chaser 's and it's terrible. I lost games just because of that.
Barista Lynchen is not a must have card but helps alot. I've had some amazing combos with it. If you are lucky enough she can win you more games!
I'll upload some insane games i've had while i was streaming so go check them out below when they are ready!
Thanks for all the kindness and support! And suggestions! You guys are amazing.
So, after all those likes and good comments, why havent i done a proper guide yet, So here it is!
THEORYCRAFTING PHASE AND MAIN IDEA OF THE DECK:
Some of you may know that there is a really good professional Hearthstone player named Viper. In Rastakhan's Rumble expansion, he joined a HGC tour with a unique and unheard of Control Shaman deck named Peanut Shaman. The deck was so fun and difficult to play and I loved it. Played it alot. So before Rise of Shadows came out, I saw cards like Hagatha's Scheme, Archivist Elysiana and I thought that I can continue Viper's amazing legacy even better! So here it is, the heavy Control Fatigue Value Shaman is here!
Main idea of this deck is stall the game to lategame, then take advantage of late game value from the cards like Swampqueen Hagatha, Archivist Elysiana, Krag'wa, the Frog, Shudderwock and stuff like that.
If the game goes into the Fatigue phase, No one can keep up with your value game and you win.
CARD EXPLANATIONS:
Earth Shock: Who doesn't like a cheap silence? And the infamous Twilight Drake killer!
Omega Mind: Cheaper and more powerful Reno Jackson basically. Use this with Hagatha's Scheme in lategame and see the concede screen from your opponent.
Haunting Visions: It's basically a free spell. You just choose according to the state you are in which is cool. Also a nice combo with Krag'wa, the Frog
Lightning Storm: Nice AoE against aggro decks. Also a good combo with Bloodmage Thalnos
Hex: Classic Removal, Fantastic with Krag'wa, the Frog
Storm Chaser: The most important key card to this deck. It prevents late game dead Hagatha's Scheme draws, and enables Sunreaver Warmage
Hagatha's Scheme: The reason this deck happened
Krag'wa, the Frog: Insane value card. Just one more Hex sometimes means winning instantly. Good combo with Haunting Visions
Swampqueen Hagatha: Insane value card. Good combo with Barista Lynchen [/card]and [card]Shudderwock
Hagatha the Witch: Perfect value generator and good board clear, The heart of the deck.
Walking Fountain: Amazing powehouse, minion remover and survivability.
Shudderwock: This is not a shudderwock deck so i hate when people label this as Shudderwock Shaman. Shudderwock is here to support in every scenario. Good combo with all other battlecry cards. Especially Krag'wa, the Frog
Acidic Swamp Ooze: There are tons of weapons in this meta, it's a must! Good combo with Barista Lynchen and Shudderwock
Bloodmage Thalnos: Cheap draw, Cheap removal support. Amazing.
Doomsayer : Good stall option, amazing against aggro. Fits well with other stall cards.
Proud Defender: Tar Creeper on Steroids. Helps with the board early.
Barista Lynchen: Win condition and almost a tech card against Tesspionage Rogues with Acidic Swamp Ooze value. Otherwise good with Swampqueen Hagatha and all battlecry minions.
Sunreaver Warmage: Great tempo swing in early-mid game and has perfect synergy with our deck.
Zilliax: Necessary card in every control deck.
Archivist Elysiana: Amazing fatigue preventer, bomb removal. Also you can basically rebuild your deck against OTK decks. Brain of the deck.
Saving incase of power outage, I'm continuing this right now
Current state of the deck and the future plans video:
GAME VIDEO FOOTAGE!!!
INSANE EMERISS COULDN'T SAVE HIM FROM MAX VALUE
BARISTA IS INSANE WITH COIN!
ELYSIANA IS NOW ANTI OTK TECH!
FIGHTING AGGRO IS LIKE FIGHTING A MOSQUITO!!!!
0 MANA PYROBLAST TO FACE IN 2019???
Thanks for all the likes and comments, suggestions. This is not the final change, i will update it again and again.
Thanks for everyone who made a video about it, here's the spotlight videos people have done.
All these people saying Barista Lynchen is bad but I bet you’re happy when you get more elysiana battlecries in super fatigue matchups...
try zentimo, he works really nice with hex or earth shock :)
Spent around 5k to build this, only played a couple games, I'm not too particularly fond of Shammy, but this deck is the most fun I've had with Shaman. I love control decks and and this has it in spades. AND it's actually fun to play (I hate playing aggro decks even though they are always so popular).
Thanks for sharing and thanks for the explanations of the deck/combos.
I've changed my mind a bit about this deck. While it's still a lot of fun, it just isn't as competitive as it needs to be.
It loses 100% of the time vs Bomb Warrior. It cannot get off enough damage to prevent the inevitable health grind that BW does. It also struggles with the Druid and Lock zoo decks flooding the meta. It's aoe isn't enough to stop the blitz from those decks.
Weird, I'm at about 70-75% win rate with a similar list going from rank 5 to rank 2, 6-2 against Warrior (3 lasts games against warrior were in r2 and were won), 2-0 against zoo. You might just be playing the deck wrong... especially against warrior. You should have 100% enough sustain to bring bomb warriors to fatigue and win. The only way to lose would be for them to shuffle 6 bombs in your deck and drop dr.7 on turn 7... or to get really lucky on those mechs.
can confirm after trying out bomb warrior to see what they hype was about. this deck completely ruined bomb warrior with all the healing and deck burning with Elysiana.
"It loses 100% of the time vs Bomb Warrior." WHAT? Bomb Warrior = free win. Unless you don't know how to play this deck.
The only problem would be Druid which made me add one more mossy horror.
yea 6 board clears are required to kill a token druid, no questions asked...
token druid eat your heart out lol
The Barista Lynchen is a dead card in 80% of the matchs, i trade her for Unseen Saboteur
i traded barista for Zentimo with hex or earth shock its amazing
Other thoughts :
Barista Lynchen : Really good in this deck but I just can't seem to find a place for her. I played a bit with her, was good, now I don't play her anymore... Might replay her a bit but again, every slot of the deck is so competitive it's hard to make room !
Hecklebot : I'm playing two of those. It's more of a prehenptive tech than something really good right now. Against Bomb Warrior you can pull some bomb makers or even better Boom himself. It's a life savior against combo decks even though tbh I don't face much of that. In a hard control mirror, if you can pull Elysianna it's auto-win from there. It's been good against tempo rogue and zoolock as they don't really have big minions. Kind of scary against Token Druid if you play it on curve as it can pull the Archivist. It's a weird card, but the voiceline is amazing, and it goes very well in the hard fatigue goal this deck has since you bring your opponent closer to fatigue. Your choice of Proud Defender also makes sense to be better against aggro, but since I'm running the overload package I don't feel like aggro is much of a problem.
Omega Mind and Walking Fountain : I'm personally running 2x Witch's Brew because of its insane synergy with Krag'wa, the Frog. Walking Fountain seems to come a bit too late against the decks you wanna play it against, but it sure looks like a good way to heal and survive the Bombs. I played with one for a while, wasn't too happy about it, but it sure is a good card.
Hey there ! First of all thanks a lot for sharing what you've experienced so far with Control Shaman. Beeing a Peanut Shaman disciple aswell, I was looking to find someone to share thoughts with concerning its evolution with the new set and rotation. It's funny to see how different our 2 lists are from each others !
I'm going to try your list to get an idea, maybe try to twist things around with mine, but in case you're interested here's what I think about the cards we don't have in commun.
Overload Package : Zap!, Sludge Slurper, Likkim and Thunderhead. These cards help soooo much against any aggressive deck that tries to flood the board. You can create so many 1/1s to trade for tokens, it's a great way to save your aoes. Honestly don't think I would have any chance against Token Druid without this package. It also helps a lot against Zoolock and Tempo Rogue. Also the murlocs are great with Hagatha since it's 2 one-cost minions for one card.
Storm Chaser : I'm not running this card but I didn't think about how important it could be to tutor your Schemes early. As you said though, the problem is that it can tutor Rain of Toads and you're not happy about it. Therefore you cut one... Honestly I don't know what to think about Rain of Toads, it's a great tool to stall so your schemes can grow, but it overloads for so much. Works amazing though in combination with Thunderhead against Token Druid.
Swampqueen Hagatha : I don't know about you, but I've been really dissapointed by this card, so much that I actually cut her off the list. I feel like I never have time to play her against aggro, and Control Warrior the value she gives you is nice, but Warrior can handle it very easely. It just feels like it's not what the deck wants to do in Control mirrors. At best against aggro you got what, Lightning Bolt + Storm ? And you pay 12 mana to cast it ? Meh.
Gotta go for now but I'll come back with the other ideas I have about the list later, also to not make this a 5 pages message haha
absolutely insane!
just replaced 1 Earth Shock with Far Sight
Far Sight is better on curve + disgusting synergy by hitting swampqueen for insane value or hitting either barista or archivist to play them in 1 Turn
I had to play 6 AOEs to win against token... and the druid player wasn't even good, he didn't understand the concept of tempo. Token druid is definitely busted.

I first saw your deck when it was still at its early stages of theorycrafting. I tweaked it until I felt the deck was viable, and bam! 75% winrate from rank 5 to rank 2 3-stars. My lists still runs 1 Witch's Brew, 1 Feral Spirit and 1 Doomsayer. I tech-d in a second ooze for warrior and rogue match-ups and only play 1 Sunreaver Warmage as I felt I couldn't always proc its battlecry. I thought Barista Lynchen might be slow or considered to be a dead card at times since my battlecry minions usually don't stick around for a long time. I'm thinking of finding a way to include a second Doomsayer to counter token druid, but we'll see.
Anyway, thanks for the initial deck design! (the version i'm playing is version 1.2)
Can you, please, send me the code of your version?
Would like code for the deck as well if possible :)
Feel free to swap out Bloodmage Thalnos for a second Doomsayer if you encounter a lot of aggro/token decks.
Note that this Shaman archetype is very weak against Khadgar Mage because you are required to have at least 1 Hex in your starting hand, as well as an 8-damage Scheme in order to win.

I think you need to hold Shuddewock until your deck becomes emty and play him to shuffle second 10 cards (after archivist)
