BIG MINION PULLS

MORE BIG MINIONS
Hello
BIG MALY DAMAGE
The deck runs FIFTY Malygos face damage potential
FOR CONSIDERATION
Cards for consideration that were on the fringe of omission or could be tech'd in depending on the meta.
Big priest lists run around FIVE minions, wher-as this deck is running SEVEN, so I feel we're at the limits of minion additions.
I really wanted to add Big Bad Archmage but I wanted to try Archmage Vargoth for the threat of double plays of Eureka! or double Far Sight. We're less about winning from a single big board and more about Maly'ing out some big damage and chipping away damage with board threats.
Darkmire Moonkin could be an option if we're lacking Spell Damage numbers although it's a lot weaker than other options.

Archmage Vargoth is great in this deck for double Big Bad Voodoo, Eureka!, and sometimes Acestral spirit, but of course Warriors play owls now, which sucks. Anyway Big shaman is the only fun deck now for me atm., so many surprising plot twists and you never know whats gonna happen, so I'm gonna play this no matter what. And with a bit of luck you can beat any deck with this.
I really want this deck to work and have made a few attempts myself, but it just can't work in the current meta with the amount of removal warrior has.
I do think Muckmorpher has potential as a high-roll value card with like Ysera, Big Bad, Zillax, or deathrattles because a 5 cost 4/4 plain text is good, but it's not the worst you can play
Maybe in the next two expansions Shaman will get some cards that can support it better
50 Malygos face damage potential. I'm not sure how you came up with 38.
Not a terrible idea. It could be fun. I might consider Hagatha the Witch and Mana Tide Totem. I understand why it isn't there, but a 5 mana 4/4 that draws a card is actually pretty fine. It then adds more minions to trigger Hagatha. Making a deck without Hagatha just seems crazy.
Sorry, the deck's been through a few iterations, I've fixed that now. Totally agree it needs balancing, and the list of minion pulls needs refining. It might be a case of cutting the weaker big minions and introducing more control or draw tools. Requires play-testing and very meta-dependant.
hey really nice deck but i think its to slow against aggrssive decks. Turn 5 for the first baord clear seems really late maybe add some lightning storms or spirit wolfs for early board presents. I have build a less combo oriented deck (http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1254583-muckmorpher). with a windfury finisher.
What about adding Whirlwind Tempest? Seems a pretty good deck to fit it in.
I thought that initially too, but you really need it on board with somthing which is going to be difficult to pull of here I reckon, it would be a trash pull on turn 5/6 etc on its own and we need to threaten early
I don't see how this deck can survive early game especially versus aggro, which is going to be once again dominant in the upcoming meta. You are basically forced to mulligan for 5 cost cards (muckmropher and hagatha scheme), leaving you unable to respond effectvely to enemy's board until you can play those cards. Good luck with that
Looks incredibly fun gotta say
Why Frost Shock and no Totemic Smash?
I see no Big Bad Archmage! That card with Muckmorpher will create a Big Bad Muckmorpher deck of beauty. In all seriousness I see Muckmorpher being better in a less combo focused build.
However... Spirit of the Frog is a minion, so it may waste your muckmorphers...
It's a risk, I've knocked it down to 1x but I think if it's hard-mulliganed for it will be a great way to get around poor Shaman draw aside from Farsight combos as there's a nice 1-5 mana curve of spells.
But is it that bad? You get a 5 mana 4/4 spirit, still stealthed 1 turn. Spirit on its own is pretty nuts draw, so you can use it to cycle to get closer to malygos combo
I can see the upside.
Problem is that with Spirit, you'll be cycling through the exact kill cards you need to make Maly work. You'll need them vs agro and need to play them to keep drawing... blizzard will need to unveil a few good support cards to make this really work. Either some low cost token generators (like a better feral spirit) or card draw or some low cost minions with lots of abilities that would make good muchmorpher targets as well.
Muckmorpher is going to be big for Shaman. This is a strong start. I like seeing spirit of the frog used. I supposed win condition would really be malygos - i feel like a 4/4 Al'akir or fountain would be great value/life for a turn or two then go away- so if you're relying on Malygos then you'd need to save a lot of bolts/shocks/bursts (or combo with maly and vargos). Thing is, you can't tutor for the 1-costs with frog, and you might want to use them to get ancestral spirit. Frog always presents interesting deck-building challenges.
