Going from ranked 5 to 3: 19-4. This is working well, based off of Torture Priest but with a better win condition: infinite Leeroys!
Thanks to kiwiinbacon for a spotlight.
Beating Mecha'thun Druid as the slowest deck around: priceless!
Bestmarmotte hitting Legend against Even Warlock!!

Gameplay and Win Condition
This is a kind of combo deck, so try to keep your key pieces until you can activate it. Is also a Priest Quest deck so just keep playing every DR minion you can and stall as long as possible to be able to play Amara, Warden of Hope but also get a copy. You will never fatigue so stall and draw as much as possible. My average game is 15 minutes and 16 turns; this isn't a quick deck. I am going to miss playing 2-4 x Psychic Scream more than words can say.
Also realise, I haven't "won" many games, all but a handful have the opponent conceding, sometimes all it takes is a Seance on Amara, Warden of Hope, but most will quit once the combo starts rolling...
Once you have the following conditions you can play the infinite combo:
- Be Shadowreaper Anduin, have Bwonsamdi, the Dead and Amara, Warden of Hope in hand and not many cards left in your deck (better if going into fatigue)
- 2 x Spirit of the Dead, Augmented Elekk, Zola the Gorgon on one of your Spirit of the Dead, ping Zola the Gorgon
- You now have a Spirit of the Dead in hand, and 4 x 1 mana Zola the Gorgon in your deck (and quite possibly 2 x Augmented Elekk after thier turn)
- From here you can always play a Spirit of the Dead, bounce it with Zola the Gorgon, and ping her to keep the loop going. Always ensure you can do this (have a Spirit of the Dead and Zola the Gorgon on hand at all times).
- Now weave in Amara, Warden of Hope, and Bwonsamdi, the Dead, always bouncing them with Zola the Gorgon and pinging Zola the Gorgon back into your deck. Do the same with Leeroy Jenkins or Zilliax to make things go faster, but unless they can do 40 damage in a turn you've already won.
- Board clears will slow you down, but there are only so many they have and eventually they will be forced to start sending other 1 mana cards into your deck.
If you feel pressed for time you can try and invoke the OTK combo and "just" rely on 5 x Amara, Warden of Hope if things go bad.
- You have Amara, Warden of Hope with 2 x Seance, then Zola the Gorgon, then Baleful Banker with Augmented Elekk. this is still 200 health they have to get through!
- Use 2 x Spirit of the Dead, Augmented Elekk and Leeroy Jenkins (who should die that turn)
- Then pull the 4 x 1 mana Leeroy Jenkins with Bwonsamdi, the Dead and play 5 next turn via Vivid Nightmare for 30 damage.
Under the right draw you will survive to turn 7 and play Amara, Warden of Hope with Seance. If you make it to here you are probably going to win the game. But therein lies the hard part, without a strong turn 5, or a perfect run of DR minions and Twilight's Call aggro is going to roll you and even Psychic Scream won't save you. Always know how much damage you can take and keep trying to complete the Quest ASAP.
Keep in mind your key turns up to 10 mana are odd, 5 you can Mass Hysteria, Rotten Applebaum or Zilliax, but also play 3 x DR minions via Twilight's Call and a 2 drop. Turn 7 you can Psychic Scream, or Amara, Warden of Hope and Seance or Baleful Banker. Turn 9 you can complete your Quest with a 2 drop and then do the above.
Mulligan
Always keep a DR 2 drop, the more Dead Ringer the better. Never keep any "combo" cards and hope for some 5 mana cards before turn 5.
If you have Dead Ringer then Twilight's Call is probably safe to keep.
Card Choices
Baleful Banker and the second Augmented Elekk are there to refill your deck, can be played with Amara, Warden of Hope, Rotten Applebaum, Leeroy Jenkins or Zilliax. Can also Amara, Warden of Hope, Zola the Gorgon her and then Baleful Banker on Zola the Gorgon to keep the dream alive. But both can be used for tempo in a pinch. They could also both be dropped for another Plated Beetle, Rotten Applebaum, or possibly 2 x Spirit Lash.
Vivid Nightmare is there to duplicate key cards as you need them (see comments).
Leeroy Jenkins and Zilliax can both be played to clear threats; neither are required to win (though infinite Zilliax is more valuable in the long run if you "lose" your Amara, Warden of Hope because you can't bounce her when needed.
I am finding this great fun to play, lots of decisions to make and obviously is working for me. I've been very lucky to avoid more aggro with such a greedy deck. Hope you have fun and thanks for liking. I think there will still be room for more infinite shenanigans after rotation, but rogue is going to be insane at the long game.
DISCLAIMER: I did not expect this deck to go as far as it has and sorry but the hsreply numbers are pretty dismal overall. Against aggro you need the perfect draw to survive, you probably aren't as fast as combo decks, and there is only so many other control or mid-range decks for you to beat easily. I can't fathom how people are losing to Warrior though.
Too expensive deck for most... 15,5k dust, I believe it is fun tho.
I spent like 5k dust to craft it, played a few games and realized it was stupid as shit, but it's fun to troll with.
Thx for the deck, very refreshing !
Playing it with Zerek's Cloning Gallery and anther Rotten Applebaum instead of Leroy and Banker.
I find it more stable against aggro, but still difficult match-up.
Gallery is so strong if you get a board with among Elekk, Zola, Bwonsamdi, Spirit, Rotten.
I won several games just on this play. You can Vision for the Gallery against slow decks as well.
There are some very good patterns you can play, I just faced 2 times against odd Mage in a row:
you can Seance their Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk. Then kill Ragnaros with Anduin to activate the bird cry with hero power. Recycle the bird with the tools. Very funny.
Gallery would make me fear of burning critical key combo cards, as you will most probably end up with deathrattles that draw card on the board.
I don't really mind winning or losing, but i like to troll others a bit.
I figured I should add Hakkar in this list, for more trolling...
As of now, I didn't find any use of mass dispell in this deck, apart from drawing 1 card. Am I missing something or could I replace it with Hakkar ?
edit : I forgot about DR hunter since I didn't face them that much...
For the lulz! I think it is risky in a deck that wants to touch on fatigue; but you should be able to keep adding spirited minion cards in to dilute the deck, and can always heal back up each turn.
90% of my wins so far have been concedes, I could see this either pushing it faster, but also gives your opponent hope you just effed up, gives you a win vs Mechathun Druid at least.
Mass Dispel has saved me vs DR Rogue, and feels nice vs Beast Hunter and Even Pally, it could go but I'd consider sacrificing an Elekk instead.
Would be great to hear how it works for you.
Only did one game (versus odd rogue) with this replacement yet, I won but had Hakkar sitting in my hand for almost the whole game (as soon as my first dead ringer died actually, which could be a trouble if looking for anti aggro solution).
in this game though, Elekk was nice for me as a coined turn 2 to prevent an early Hench Clan Thug.
I will play more games then tell you, but I think it's really fun to play, congratulations for building it.
Hakkar....exactly my idea...i would take mass dispel out.....maybe thalnos or baleful banker are a better idea
Not sure because Thalnos allow for a draw and for the quest, while mass dispell is for no part in the quest.
And baleful is one sort of saving yourself if you dont get the Seance for your first Amara i guess.
So, Hakkar was fun and made me loose all games I played it :')
Last one was funny; against a jaina mage I went from 40 HP to -12 OTK, but I laughed because I would have win if I had a bit of luck.
But yeah, better to remove Hakkar :')
This is so much fun to play with, and quite refreshing to see! the sheer value that can be gained whilst playing this makes it really entertaining and of course there are many ways to utilize that strength during a game resulting in incredible matches.
I made a video showcasing the deck in action, I really hope you all enjoy it
Wow thank you so much! Was fun watching someone else pilot it; I was all "play the nightmares its 8 health healing, hold Amara for Seance!". I would never have risked my spirits like that, have learnt you don't always need to go for the combo like I have been.
Now you've brought a million views I better start on a bit of a write up; 15-2 so far and a better rank than I have ever gotten before, wish I had come up with this before the last couple of weeks before rotation.
I have been playing similar decks but usually wish I had umbra or zola. Not gonna craft them two weeks before rotation, though.
Deckwise Velen+2xMind Blast seems decent. It makes for an alternative otk, both work with anduin, mind blast can combine with leeroy and velen is a full heal with spirit lash.
I have been playing with dollmaster dorian which is funny but definitely better at getting repeated 'wow's from enemies than actually winning.
I keep getting aggro and losing before i can get anything to defend...
Always keep Mass Hysteria, Loot Hoarder and Dead Ringer or mulligan hard for them. You either get to a clear, or your quest a lot faster. Feel free to play Elek and Banker as tempo. Even Leeroy can be used in a pinch, but try to keep Zylliax if you get to combo town.
Without godly clears or the perfect Twilight's Call you will fall to aggro I guess, just hope for more Warriors... :)
Maybe change something to get more clear against aggro?
Drop an Elekk and Banker for 2 x Spirit Lash maybe? Then play around Thanos and Twilight's Call so you always get +1 spell damage.
I am playing a similar version of the deck. Alas, I meet too many Wall Priests with it. May be just my rotten luck.
Question: What is the purpose of Vivid Nightmare?
Vivid Nightmare is part of your OTK package: play 2 x Spirit of the Dead, Augmented Elekk and Leeroy Jenkins (dies clearing an enemy minion). You now have four 1 mana Leeroy Jenkins, pull them with Bwonsamdi, the Dead, next turn you can play four plus Vivid Nightmare = 30 damage :)
But usually you use it for an extra deathrattle minion to get the quest, or an extra Spirit of the Dead for your Zola the Gorgon combo turn if you used your Augmented Elekk already. 2 x Leeroy Jenkins or Zilliax to clear a big minion also useful.
Wall Priest is probably the worst outside of druid mill decks, just hope for 4 x Scream...
Thank you for the answer
