The day after we got to Legend on NA within 5h we starting taking EU seriously for a day and well, made it to legend as well with a 27-7 score in just 4h. To be fair I played a lot of Warlock and this deck in particular before so my experience with it and knowing how each match up is won might have made the difference here between a 55-60% win rate and an almost 80% one. All games where played in the early afternoon so maybe the time you play affects what you face and how they play
There are 2 ways to win with this deck. First off the obvious way by reducing Mecha'thun & Bloodbloom to cost 10 or less mana together and playing it with Cataclysm when we have no cards left in the deck to win the game. The other way is what we choose against aggro decks which is a Sense Demons into a Voidcaller on 4 that summons a Voidlord from hand and heals us for a ton. This paired with Bloodreaver Gul'dan and out values them while dealing 30 dmg
Perfect against all those Rogues and their early game Pirates. Has synergy with Voodoo Doll & allows your Defile to clear boards it could not clear before
After you got your combo it is a perfect way to either thin your board or go for lethal when you got multiple cards left in your deck. It even helps to fish for an active Reno Jackson
2nd Bloodbloom
Because we do run Hemet, Jungle Hunter we need to draw at least on of them and well having twice as many increases our odds significantly
2x Galvanizer
Playing on of them with Mecha'thun in hand allows us to just go for Emperor Thaurisan as we don´t need to wait for Bloodbloom we can also just go for Thaurisan when we have Bloodbloom in hand and just wait for Galvanizer and Mechathun later. A turn 6 emperor is just better than waiting too long
A nice single target removal as we don´t have any and draws us a card when we put a Mortal Coil on there
We draw soo many cards and after Hemet, Jungle Hunter all we need is Voidcaller & Voidlord which should be in our hand every time due to us running 2x Sense Demons Reno is just soo good against aggro he gotta be in here
We get rid of all the cards we don´t need and can win on turn 8 with the OTK he is just great!
The 2nd win condition or the one card that makes the aggro match up good in the later stages as we do not need our OTK to win
Anything that draws but Coldlight Oracle should do the job best
1x Voodoo Doll
Either Bloodmage Thalnos or an Acolyte of Pain
1x Zilliax
Healbot, also a mech so it gets reduced by Galvanizer and well, it heals
DOOM! as it is good with the 2nd Bloodbloom and helps Reno to be active
Absolutely any card of your choice, I would probably go for Doomsayer
Against slower decks (Priest) all we want is Hemet, Jungle Hunter and card draw as well as Emperor Thaurisan against aggro which is mainly Rogue & Mage at the moment we want our Sense Demons & Demon package as well as Defile and a Darkbomb to survive and remove their stuff. Keeping Zilliax is also not too bad
If you need any help with playing out a turn, when to just go for The Soularium or how to handle a board state please consider asking your question for any case you might need help with when playing this deck down below or asking me during my streams which can be found with schedule won below. Don´t forget to upvote this guide as a single +1 makes a big difference, thanks!
i try this deck like 10 time 1 thing that i notice is that reno and kazakus are not active for the majority of game and i just dead vs aggro deck with reno seeting on my hands with no chance of playing him
is it not better to just cut all the extra copy of 2X cards for more consistency vs aggro ?
and just 1 extra question
if u play the demon package why u not runing Mal'Ganis ?
he is very good with huge board of demons for Bloodreaver Gul'dan and give u extra win condition if ur enemy doesnt have answer to big board
Well first off Kazakus is not in the deck and Reno is almost guaranteed to be active AFTER we play Hemet. Its not the purpose of the deck to have an active Reno throughout the game, just in the very end when it is needed against aggro. If you want to get rid of all the 2x cards to make Reno & Kazakus playable at any time simply go for Renolock ^^
Malganis is definitely a good addition and for sure better than Voodoo Doll, but I felt that it lowers the chance of getting Voidcaller from Sense Demons too much and vs. Aggro Voidlord is better than Malganis when it comes out for free. Let me try it out whether or not he fits in there so I can have a better answer :D
Good
:)
I replaced the 2 galvanisers with twisting nethers, and i just started from rank 9 and i won 13 games and lost only 1. rank 5 now.
PogChamp and congrats on that Golden Epic!
I cant really see the use of galvanizer here, when Thaurissan has to be played on only 2 cards. Wouldnt 2 doomsayer be better to improve vs aggro matchup ?
2x Galvanizer
Playing on of them with Mecha'thun in hand allows us to just go for Emperor Thaurisan as we don´t need to wait for Bloodbloom we can also just go for Thaurisan when we have Bloodbloom in hand and just wait for Galvanizer and Mechathun later. A turn 6 emperor is just better than waiting too long
Pretty much this, I will definitely test the deck more with only 1x Galvanizer & without them at all by including 2x Doomsayer instead of them, might be better soo lets find out :)
double galv + emperor when you have cataclism and mecha'thun in hand = 10 mana mecha'thun + cataclism combo no blood bloom needed (thats the best use for double galv) but doomsayer isn't a bad choice either. :)
Wait this guy has his whole Deck golden??? How beautiful! I love this deck, but I'm still lacking all the tiny little tricks and interactions between this deck. Especially the interaction between Galvanizer, Emperor, Bloodbloom and Thun. I think I'll play this deck the whole Season in march! Good work buddy!!!
I know this guy, he is me. But yeah it just looks pretty in full golden sooo why not :D Have fun playing it in the next season and good luck!
Was hard to play it in the first way cause i knew only the galvanizer combo but with emperor it's pretty fast aswell. Everytime you play hemet you see your opponent hovering your cards to see what the hell is happening :D
Good luck climbing :p
I haven't played it but faced it a few times. The Reno with double Voidlord really catched me off guard. Well done!
Reno is always a surprise, another way to win against aggro :D
The best part about this deck is it 'outside the box'-like character:
It has The Soularium without being discard-oriented, Reno Jackson without it being a highlander deck and Hemet, Jungle Hunter with part of the combo (Bloodbloom) being less than 3 mana
It just feels like you're playing the same cards from other archetypes but in a complete new setting which makes it a blast to play.
Never looked at it from this way but you are completely right!
Nice deck. Its so competitive also. Great, u just get a new subscriber!
Thanks man, good luck in your games!
