The Deck is split into two distinct classes, the Dragon Class and the Support class. The Dragon class cards include your Dragon minions, and also non Dragon minions that require the possession of a Dragon in your hand to activate their high value Battlecry abilities. This class contains the majority of the muscle in the deck and heavily revolves around the synergy within itself. While the class might be powerful and favored when it comes to making trades on the board, it can’t get things done all by itself and requires some support in order to maximize control of the board/game.
The Support class cards include your weapon, spells, and minions with very unique abilities that provide, but not limited to, card draw and area of effect damage. Most of the cards in this class are reactive and only meant to be played in particular situations. The Support class has a very powerful synergy and does account greatly for how smooth and efficiently a match progresses and develops.
Avenge x2
When it comes to Secrets in Paladin this the the go to one. Pretty much self explanatory as it provides 3/2 stats as a 1 Mana card. You could call it a Flame Imp on one of your minions without the drawback effect. Also great synergy with your follow up hero power!
It is not just a 2/2 for 1 Mana it is also a way to summon more Silverhand Recruits to further utilize the buffs in our deck i.e. Warhorse Trainer & Quartermaster while spreading the stats on two instead of just a single target
While it essentially just a 3 Mana 3/5 it is still a card that can turn the board state around as 3 attack are enough to deal with most 1 & 2 drops our opponents might play. Besides that she also survives most attacks of all enemy 3 drops and is great to trade with bigger minions
Divine Favor x2
There must be a way to refill our hand if all the early cards are played and with this 100% not unfair card we usually draw 4+ cards and allow our self to stay in the game and find the final cards to demolish our opponents!
While it is just a Fiery War Axe with a little upside (buffing Righteous Protector ) it allows us to go 2 for 1 meaning that we can trade 2 of their 3 drops for just a little bit of our not needed resource known as health
Even though we included many dragon synergistic cards we still have the Silverhand Recruits to assist us and making them twice as strong helps tremendous in keeping control of the board or even pushing for lethal
Azure Drake x2
The OG hall of famed Drake is an auto include as he provides guaranteed draw, the Dragon Tribe & a perfect 4 attack minion against Priest. Outside of the fact that it looks great it usually keeps our hand fresh & allows us to further pressure the opponent down
While this is by far my favorite golden card of all time the effect should not be underestimated. Gaining an un-nerfed Innervate on the next Dragon you play (note: not just this turn, whenever during the round) is good enough to allow a follow up Turn 6 Dragon of our choice + any 3 drop or Hero Power + 1 Drop
He is the Level Up in wild which comes with a 2/5 body to assist us. Even on Just 2 Silverhand Recruits he is an upgraded Fungalmancer while being able to give our board +12/+12 if we hit all 6 Recruits
Vinecleaver x1
As we don´t run 🐛In the dungeon I go deeper🐛 Corridor Creeper we want at least 1 late game card that allows us to push some damage and develop board at the same time and well, this is our best pick in doing both
I highly recommend getting 2x of those as they are so versatile while I also understand that 800 dust is not too cheap. They activate our Dragon synergistic cards & have premium stats but in case they have to be replaced a Steward of Darkshire is our best bet to secure all those Silverhand Recruits and allow them to be buffed by Rallying Blade
The one card that not just wins against Big Priest as they can´t use Coin into Shadow Essence it also slows down Mages by a lot and protects us from Crackle. A safe replacement can be Stand Against Darkness to go even further down the Silverhand Recruit route or a Dragon of our choice i.e. Ysera or Cobalt Scalebane
When the cheapest version of this deck is asked he must go. Again Cobalt Scalebane comes to rescue in his spot but a Marsh Drake might be the better choice as we can almost guarantee to kill the 2/1 poisoned Minion that we summon for our opponent
A proper mulligan is something that comes with experience and understanding of the deck and matchups. From a very basic and general standpoint, not taking matchup (advanced knowledge) into consideration, there is always a set of cards to look for.
For new players or those without extensive experience, you want to get your low drops and things to start controlling the board with. Essentially you want to look for things you can start playing immediately, and not holding onto things you would like to play later.
Anything from 1-3 mana is fine. These are listed in order of preference. A 5 Mana Dragon can also be kept to activate your other synergistic cards.
If you got any Questions I will be happy to answer them either down below or on stream. Don´t forget to upvote this guide as a single +1 makes a big difference, thanks!
