Hi guys, Misplay here!
First of all let introduce myself. I'm a small youtuber who is trying to help non legend players to hit legend with informative videos. And it seems that most of my videos are helpful to my subscribers(knowing this because of all the positive comments). I made 3 videos about this legend odd paladin deck. I got this deck from hsreplay. I'm not sure who made this deck. But what hsreplay doesn't tell you is the strategy and the gameplay. That's what I try to do in my videos. On hsreplay you only get the mulligan percentage, but I go way deeper than that. Read the positive comments in my videos. Maybe it could work for you as well. Below I will link the 3 videos, 1 of them you can learn how to mulligan VS every class and some tips and tricks. And in video 3 you can see I'm legend. I have 66% win rate with 56 games (37 wins-19 losses) This you can verify in video 3. If you are interested in climbing higher on ladder. I really suggest you start with video 1, watch every single game and learn. Good luck on ladder everyone! If this helped you, a like is never expected but always greatly appreciated!
Video 1(with strategy):
Video 2(more gameplay with explanation of the decisions each turn):
Video 3 (proof of legend):
Hit legend for the first time with this deck. Swapped out Witch's Cauldron for Ironbeak Owl to deal with Hyenas, Voidlords, Dreadlords, Mosh'ogg Enforcers, etc. I only really find myself missing the cauldron against warrior, but I think that's the least common matchup. Watching the videos really helped, especially the advice to mulligan for Frostwolf Warlord against Priest. I won three games in a row against the same Wall Priest with that strategy right before hitting legend.
Videos are better than written guides don't you think? :) I explain a lot during gameplay, why this play and not the other etc... Congrats bro! I'm happy for you!
I think written guides are better for quick reference*, but videos are better for showing your thought process and seeing the deck in action. I also like seeing how your overall strategy makes up for the small mistakes that you make. It inspires more confidence knowing you don't need to play flawlessly to scrape your way up to legend with a 51% winrate.
I'm interested in learning more about getting the most out of Witch's Cauldron. I felt like it was unreliable compared to Ironbeak Owl, but maybe it's necessary to steal some wins from warrior/druid.
* this guide is a good example, but it's a bit dated
Peaked at 507 for February.
Trying out Witch's Cauldron again now. I think it could be stronger than Ironbeak Owl when you know how to use it properly. Ironbeak Owl is a lot easier to plan plays around than Witch's Cauldron, which often saved me from running into time pressure when I was still learning the basics of the deck, which was enough to raise my winrate. I'm having a lot less trouble with Witch's Cauldron now that I'm more used to the deck.
Almost top 300 legend with this deck. I replaced glow trons by argent squires.
Play more games and you will get more midrange hunters than anything else. Which means your overall win rate will go up!
This deck is really nice to climb with! Curently rank 3 but most pf my matchupa are against warlocks, priests, warriors. And they are kinda not easy to handle for me tough i maybbe need some more practice! But overall a really good deck thx!
Happy to help! Thanks for the support man.
This deck looks like the best deck to climb with. I tried it with Prince Liam and it's good, but MisplayTV suggests to play this deck exactly. I may decide to make a real push to see if I can get to legend finally after 6 months playing this game. The highest I made it was level 3 so far. Thanks Misplay, for your hard work!
Hey, the worst matchups for odd paladin are hakkar druid, warrior, warlock and priests. I'm not sure how I got 5-3 vs priest, maybe the 5 wins was against clone priests. If I see a wall priest playing grizzly on turn 5 and resurrect the grizzly on turn 6, I just concede and move on to the next game without wasting time. And focus on easy match ups which is the hunter and any archetype rogue. The midrange hunter is the most played deck on ladder with approximately 15% and wall priest about 8%. I'm not happy with 87% win rate vs hunters and try to play really slow and get back this win rate above the 90%. So the overall win rate won't drop much further than the 66%. Same story vs rogues... they just kill themselves. Against wall priest you should mulligan for stonehill defenders and hope for Tarim. When you have the coin, go for frostwolf warlord. But to keep my answer short, when they have the dream hand, just concede and get those 90% win rates against hunters and rogues, so your overall win rate will be same as mine.
What do you do with wall priest ?
I won 0 games against them even after putting void reaper and 1-mana 2\3 that summons 0/3 taunt.
after 25 games with wall priest I won 0 no matter the deck build
Hey, loved your videos.
One question, what is your strategy when facing odd quest warrior? It seems to have an answer to everything, reckless flurry kills all minions with health less than 4, shield slam or brawl your giants, and then you have the never ending armor gain and taunts.
Unless he doesn't have reckless flurry, or I have the divine shield maul it seems like it's an impossible match up.
BTW, by any chance, would you do, a written guide here, it's easier for keeping the information on hand :)
Hey, thanks for the great feedback! The worst matchups are warlock, warrior and priest. I have negative win rate vs these 3 classes. On the other hand I have 80% win rate against hunters and rogues. So try to get even more out of these easy matchups. I aim for 85% win rate. Now to answer your question. You should mulligan for stonehill defenders. And hope to get Tarim. If you saw video 3 at the end vs the warrior, you can see I almost won the game. I lost to bad rng. Other cards to dig hard for is the 1-drop devine shield and blessing of might. Last but not least, if you have the coin, keep frostwolf warlord. Dream hand would be... turn 1 1-drop devine shield, turn 2 glow tron, blessing of kings on the devine shield, turn 3 hero power and 1-drop, turn 4 coin out frostwolf. Which means 4/1 devine shield and frostwolf don’t die to reckless flurry. I will think about the written guide, if I have time. If this helped, a like on the deck is not expected but always greatly appreciated! Also check my other guide on priest deck 100% win rate(10-0) for now. I know it’s a small sample size and if it’s stays like this paladin win rate I’m happy with that!

I crafted Liam for nothing. I have tried many games with Liam, void rippers, stormwind, shrink ray and many more minor changes... None of those versions came close to this win rate. Keep in my that I start at rank 4 every season, because I reach legend every season. Which means if I was playing this same deck above rank 10, the win rate could be over 75% without exaggerating. If you have more questions, I'm here to help you to climb higher on ladder. Same as in my videos :)
Does Liam fit anywhere in this?
what are the replacements for corridor creepers? the rotation is coming up and i dont want to waste my dusts for them :(
Indeed you should not. You could replace them with void rippers if you have. Otherwise 2 Marshdrakes, it's a 3 mana 5/4 that summons a 2/1 poisonous for your opponent which you can take out immediately with your 1/1. So before playing this marshdrake you must have a 1/1 on board ofcourse. If this helped you, I would appreciate a like on this deck :)
