I Hi all

I reached legend from rank 10 playing only this big rush warrior this month. Not an easy climb at all but what is very cool is that you can beat almost anything. Obviously you can also lose against anything, especially when you draw too many big cards in the beginning of the game.

2 kind of decks are difficult: very fast combo decks (Mecha’thun warlock is the worst) and decks with endless resources like control warrior (not the quest version, beating quest warrior is easy) or Control mage (odd mage is easy win because he doesn’t have enough removals). I think I never won against control warrior. You can beat Jaina only if he doesn’t draw DK or if you put enough pressure so that he can never safely play it. But this month was mostly hunters and priests, and you are favored against any version those play. It’s never easy, though.

Spirit of the rhino is such a great card ! I’m surprised that I had zero mirror matchups this month, probably because to make a good rush warrior you need legendaries  that will rotate out soon. Spirit of the Rhino + Boomship against a big board is always a great moment 😬

Général Mulligan :

Always: Keleseth and town crier.

+ rover and razor against aggro 

+ scout against control

+ Militia Commander against Rogue and Warlock because you neeed à way to destroy early Hench Clan thug / Mountain Giant

+ Militia Commander and Rabid Worgen against Hunter because you need a way to destroy early hyena

Early Spirit of the Rhino is often great but you generally can’t afford to keep it during mulligan. I sometimes do it with coin + militia or worgen + some other cheap card.

Some comments: Akali is cool but really not mandatory. It’s even bad to have it in hand sometimes because you don’t want Oondasta to summon it. For some reason summoned Rover + Zilliax is not immune when spirit of the rhino is on board. Sudden Genesis can be  a game winner but also a great turn 6-7 play, for example with Darius Crowley on board. Double Darius can be very funny 😁
