Behold! The tools of creation! We are going to be creating dragons and lot of them with this deck! Ever draw a 1 mana Ysera, into a 1 mana Alexstrasza, into a 1 mana Crowd Roaster? Well now you can, thanks to Luna's Pocket Galaxy! This deck is similar to a Spiteful Mage deck in the fact that it primarily runs minions but instead of relying on a big spell to pull out just 1 minion, we're going to make our whole deck cheaper to make a lot of big minions! The combo is fairly easy to pull off since we also have 2 Grand Archevist in the deck so by turn 7 or 8 most of the time we will have our combo! Full write up below, hope you all enjoy :).
Mulligan:
Aggro / Midrange (Odd rogue, Odd pally, Hunter, Shaman, etc) - Never keep a card above 5 mana. Ideally, we want to be looking for Tar Creeper, Zilliax, Corpsetaker, Nightmare Amalgam, and of course Prince Keleseth.
Control (Warrior, Priest, etc) - Here we can be a little bit more greedy with our mulligan and go for our Luna's Pocket Galaxy or Grand Archivist. Arcane Keysmith, Scaleworm, Zilliax, Corpsetaker and Mojomaster Zihi are all great options as well.
Combo (Druid, Priest, etc) - Mojomaster Zihi.
Strategy:
As you can see, there is no card draw in this deck besides Stargazer Luna and no spells besides Luna's Pocket Galaxy. Therefore, we need to control the board whilst being as efficient as possible with our minions. It is great to use cards like Scaleworm, Crowd Roaster, Zilliax, etc to regain board control but if you have control of the board be careful not to overextend. A lot of classes have very efficient removals now like Paladin with Equality or Psychic Scream or Brawl or Dragon's Fury or...you get the idea. Usually 2-4 minions is all you need on the board at a time since most of our minions hit like a truck anyway. Clearing the board on turns 5-7 is the most important because it gives us a good opportunity to drop our Luna's Pocket Galaxy or Grand Archivist. The huge swing turns come when we Mojomaster Zihi after we combo since we don't care as much about mana and when we Stargazer Luna after we combo so we can cycle our 1 mana cost big bois.
Notable Mentions:
If you're facing a very aggro meta then possibly swapping out Prince Keleseth and Lone Champion for Plated Beetle and a Firetree Witchdoctor.
Harrison Jones - I would actually recommend this card! Sadly, I do not have him crafted but being able to counter weapons and draw, especially after using Luna's Pocket Galaxy is great.
Frost Lich Jaina - Can substitute a Grand Archivist if you feel that 2 are overkill or for a Mosh'Ogg Enforcer.
Nerubian Unraveler - If you're facing a ton of control decks like Priest, Warrior, etc and feel that 1 Mojomaster Zihi isn't enough
I hope you like this deck! As always feel free to ask any questions or leave a suggestion!

And here is a video by Tommy Wave featuring this video with some great gameplay as well!
Just from watching the video the deck looks like it is a blast to play. My concern lies in staying alive until pocket galaxy is played (too much aggro in current meta). That and I would have to make some changes to what you have here if I were to build it. I don't have access to as many legendary cards as you do, but I think I can find a way to make it work. Right now I am playing 2 mage decks one is a elemental/big hand deck and the other is a fun murloc deck, so when I get tired of one of them I will consider this one as a replacement.
Oh it is!! A lot of the aggro has died off, like even shaman, odd rogue, zoolock, etc, which makes our matchups a bit easier. The biggest threat that we face with this deck is odd pally and midrange hunter which is definitely tougher. Against those decks we are very reliant on our strong 2-5 cost minions to help stabilize us through the midgame. A lot of the time vs those decks we wont have a chance to cast Luna's Pocket Galaxy but that's ok cause this deck still has a very good late game without it. And yes, you can play a different version of this deck using elementals if you wish so you don't have to craft a lot of the expensive dragons.
I'm so angry this deck works, but it does. It's ludicrously fun. I took out the mosh'ogg, one archivist, and one spell breaker and replaced with Black Knight, Stonehill Defender, and Primordial Drake.
Great deck and also very nice to see a different mage deck apart from the current meta :)
Just wondering, what do you think about Aluneth in this deck? Due to the fact that apart from Luna you don't have any card draw.
What would you suggest could be replaced by Aluneth?
Thank you! And great suggestion! I wouldnt really replace any of the early game minions we have because we need them to control the board through the mid game. Perhaps you could replace a Mosh'Ogg Enforcer or a copy of Grand Archivist.
Abolute ass. By the time you play the spell mana costs don't matter. Wish it could work but it doesn't.
If you want a real win condtion put in Archmage Antonidas and more spells like Primordial Glyph
How are people not winning with this deck? Nearly every game is a landslide unless you play into a board clear and get punished or run into an aggro deck.
My most recent game was against Shirvallah, the Tiger OTK and I stole it (after he Baleful Bankered it) with Frostmourne and he played Holy Wrath twice and missed it because he was too scared of my board to wait until it was his only card.
Amazing deck and so much fun. Yesterday I played taunt warrior and played a taunt every turn until 8 and he played none. Just hilarious things happen with this deck.
hahaha that's crazy! But that's exactly what this deck does - crazy things just like that! :). But you're right, once we get our combo going, it's hard for a lot of decks to keep up! My favorite thing to do with this deck is to play Mojomaster Zihi after we play Luna's Pocket Galaxy and watch as our opponent can't do anything while we can still fill up our board :)
I don't even care if people are saying this isn't a "winning" deck. This deck IS SO MUCH FUN! At least when it does what it's suppose to do. I couldn't afford mojo so I swapped it with hex lord. That off chance to have double princes is sweet.
hahah exactly! After all, that's why we all play any game isn't it? To have fun! Nerubian Unraveler is also a good tech card if you don't have Mojomaster Zihi. Serves a similar purpose in shutting down OTK decks and stalling their board clears.
Really fun deck, thanks.
You're welcome! I'm glad you're enjoying it :)
Not the best deck but it's fun. It's a lot easier to play with 2x Book of Specters though. Replace Grand Archivist with 2x Raven Familiar.
Glad you like it! It is definitely a balancing act, between drawing after you use Luna's Pocket Galaxy and consistently casting it as well. Book of Specters would get in the way of Raven Familiar though, as sometimes you will pull the book instead of Luna's Pocket Galaxy. And even if you do pull Luna's Pocket Galaxy from Raven Familiar there is a chance you don't draw it if you tie with a Flamestrike, Psychic Scream, etc. I did edit the list and put in a Harrison Jones for more weapon removal and draw which helps.
Such a fun deck! Zihi is an amazing addition to the list and really helps lock your opponents out Played a few games with the deck, check them out;

This deck looks like fun - I love pocket galaxy. Just curious, why no Spiteful Summoner?
Oh it is! :). And no Spiteful Summoner because we only have 1 copy of 1 spell in here - Luna's Pocket Galaxy. Most of the time we will draw it or cast it with Grand Archivist before we can get a Spiteful Summoner to make use of it in our deck.
I'm cleaning up with this deck in the rank 4-5 range! EDIT- Oh wait, no.... getting wrecked by aggro. RIP.
haha well, I'm glad that you got the deck to work for yourself for a bit! Yes, this deck does struggle a bit more vs aggro. I made this guide and was ranking up with it before the season reset when there were A LOT of control and combo decks which this deck farms all day. But after the season reset more people are playing their aggro decks to get back to their old rank fast so if you're struggling lately maybe just hold off for a while longer and the meta should shift back to control/combo decks again soon. Especially after these most recent nerfs to aggro and midrange decks!

Decided to build a similar deck that abuses both dragon and elemental synergy. Has the potential of a turn 1, I know someone posted about grand archivist not being a great fit, but at 1 it completes its job. 2 is overkill. Star aligner does not fit well in this deck. Most big bois are 8 health or more. Star aligner is strict 7 health for the minions already on the field. I messed around with quest druid a lot and learned how much fun star aligner is after quest completion. This might be a good path for a fun deck like this.
