Behold! The tools of creation! We are going to be creating dragons and lot of them with this deck! Ever draw a 1 mana Ysera, into a 1 mana Alexstrasza, into a 1 mana Crowd Roaster? Well now you can, thanks to Luna's Pocket Galaxy! This deck is similar to a Spiteful Mage deck in the fact that it primarily runs minions but instead of relying on a big spell to pull out just 1 minion, we're going to make our whole deck cheaper to make a lot of big minions! The combo is fairly easy to pull off since we also have 2 Grand Archevist in the deck so by turn 7 or 8 most of the time we will have our combo! Full write up below, hope you all enjoy :).
Mulligan:
Aggro / Midrange (Odd rogue, Odd pally, Hunter, Shaman, etc) - Never keep a card above 5 mana. Ideally, we want to be looking for Tar Creeper, Zilliax, Corpsetaker, Nightmare Amalgam, and of course Prince Keleseth.
Control (Warrior, Priest, etc) - Here we can be a little bit more greedy with our mulligan and go for our Luna's Pocket Galaxy or Grand Archivist. Arcane Keysmith, Scaleworm, Zilliax, Corpsetaker and Mojomaster Zihi are all great options as well.
Combo (Druid, Priest, etc) - Mojomaster Zihi.
Strategy:
As you can see, there is no card draw in this deck besides Stargazer Luna and no spells besides Luna's Pocket Galaxy. Therefore, we need to control the board whilst being as efficient as possible with our minions. It is great to use cards like Scaleworm, Crowd Roaster, Zilliax, etc to regain board control but if you have control of the board be careful not to overextend. A lot of classes have very efficient removals now like Paladin with Equality or Psychic Scream or Brawl or Dragon's Fury or...you get the idea. Usually 2-4 minions is all you need on the board at a time since most of our minions hit like a truck anyway. Clearing the board on turns 5-7 is the most important because it gives us a good opportunity to drop our Luna's Pocket Galaxy or Grand Archivist. The huge swing turns come when we Mojomaster Zihi after we combo since we don't care as much about mana and when we Stargazer Luna after we combo so we can cycle our 1 mana cost big bois.
Notable Mentions:
If you're facing a very aggro meta then possibly swapping out Prince Keleseth and Lone Champion for Plated Beetle and a Firetree Witchdoctor.
Harrison Jones - I would actually recommend this card! Sadly, I do not have him crafted but being able to counter weapons and draw, especially after using Luna's Pocket Galaxy is great.
Frost Lich Jaina - Can substitute a Grand Archivist if you feel that 2 are overkill or for a Mosh'Ogg Enforcer.
Nerubian Unraveler - If you're facing a ton of control decks like Priest, Warrior, etc and feel that 1 Mojomaster Zihi isn't enough
I hope you like this deck! As always feel free to ask any questions or leave a suggestion!

And here is a video by Tommy Wave featuring this video with some great gameplay as well!
I'm glad I inspired you to make a similar deck yourself!! I did try a version like yours as well before I arrived at my current dragon only version. While having the extra control of Arcanosaur and Blazecaller is very nice, it was hard to have the consistent elemental effect of "played last turn" when you need it. There is only 1 elemental between turns 3-6 so Arcanosaur is tough to cast when you need. In my experience the elemental tribe synergy is best when you're playing elementals almost every turn so you always have their effects available when you need vs situational control which the dragons are best at. I do agree that Star Aligner is a bit too meme-y and too situational to have an impact in this deck and also taking out a Grand Archivist for a Frost Lich Jaina or Harrison Jones is probably better (although I didn't have either crafted when I posted this deck). And funny that you mention quest Druid because I've actually been tinkering around with a list as well! Great minds think alike! haha
This deck does not win, BUT, it has some fun cards. File this in shiny objects that have no value.
Can't say I've won with it, but MAN, is it fun! (and i like me some fun)
Thanks, you, truth be told, funniest deck to play with the "Lunas".
haha well I'm glad! After all, that's why we all play this game - to have fun! Thank you, and you're welcome! I always get a little chuckle whenever I play a 1 mana Ysera or 1 mana Alextrasza, especially back to back lol.
Does Arugal also copy minions' cost reduction? I know +1/+1 to all minions in the deck is really good, but this just seems like a huge font of value. Gonna experiment with him, seems like a really powerful value-based inclusion, even if he doesn't reduce their cost (playing a 9 mana Alexstrasza copy and a 1 mana Crowd Roaster is still pretty damn good, for instance)
He does in fact copy their cost reduction! I played a version with him earlier but ultimately cut him out for Prince Keleseth. I found that the +1/+1 to all minions in my deck helps me maintain board control better until I can cast Luna's Pocket Galaxy. And we usually can close out the game fast enough once we do cast it that having multiples of those cards in our hand isn't as impactful as it may seem. Feel free to play around with him though, after all, this deck is about having the most amount of fun! :)
Yeah I was more sketching out what a post-rotation version of this deck would look like, with Archmage Arugal instead of Prince Keleseth, Arcane Dynamo and Meteorologist for clearing the board, etc. Hopefully we'll get some sort of targeted spell draw with the next expansion, I don't think this deck could survive without it.
Also this deck is crying out for Star Aligner, god only knows how you would make it work though.
Fun to play. Not very useful on the ladder. Definitely gets wrecked by hunter. Simply not enough clears to live long enough to activate the combo.
I'm glad you're having fun at least! That's what its all about! :)
I would really suggest taking out a Grand Archivist and a Lone Champion for two Raven Familiars; most of the time, the Raven Familiars should be able to fish out Luna's Pocket Galaxy.
There's a couple reasons why I chose to have 2 Grand Archivist and no Raven Familiar. First off, Raven Familiar isn't 100% guaranteed to pull Luna's Pocket Galaxy and the other main reason is I would much rather prefer to cast Luna's Pocket Galaxy with a body on the board because casting a naked Luna's Pocket Galaxy on turn 7 oftentimes is a big tempo loss. As far as Lone Champion, they are pretty important since we do not have any 1 or 2 mana cost minions in our deck besides Prince Keleseth we need consistent really good 3-5 mana cost minions to regain board control. Thanks for the suggestion though! :)
I just beat a Mecha'thun druid with this deck, I love it, greatest meme ever. I had everything I needed and when, shame I couldn't see his face for the Zihi drop on turn 9.
I only have one Archivist and one Amalgam though so for those I put in 1 x 4/1 dragon + health per card and 1 x 4/8 taunt dragon + 2 damage to everything and instead of the Mosh'ogg enforcer I straight swapped for lazy dragon
This deck is shit..
Hunter 7-this Deck 0
:-(
For what I can see, this game should be called "Hunterstone" :(
Just played a game with this. Was so much fun to do that combo, will be using again.
Glad to hear!! :D
Would it not make more sense to have Raven Familiar draw the Pocket Galaxy and play it on Turn 7, instead of hoping to get an Archivist and not draw the Galaxy until Turn 8?
Sure, the Archavist casting the spell for free is much better, but if you draw the spell too early, it makes no difference anyway. The raven ensures you can at least do that fairly consistently.
Just a thought.
I did actually try a version before with Raven Familiar instead of Grand Archivist but that was more inconsistent due to a lot of mages with Flamestrike and priests with Psychic Scream. Besides, I would much rather prefer to play Luna's Pocket Galaxy with Grand Archivist so that way you aren't giving up too much tempo. One of the problems of Luna's Pocket Galaxy is giving away an entire turn to cast the spell and this helps mitigate that. It is a bit unfortunate to draw Luna's Pocket Galaxy before Grand Archivist but it doesn't happen that often and even when it does we have 27 other very strong minions in our deck! Thanks for the suggestion though! :)
he's stuck at rank 5 with a 18k dust deck wtf
