Shout out to kiwiinbacon for making this great video .
thanks to tomy wave and Khristophesaurus Dinosaurus for making these videos
Token Shaman is a solid Hearthstone archetype that has moved in and out of the meta at various points in Hearthstone's history. It aims to take advantage of the Shaman Hero Power, Totemic Call, to add free minions to the board and combine it with other board-flooding cards to repeatedly create wide boards turn after turn. If the board is not immediately dealt with each turn, Token Shaman can immediately capitalize on wide boards with powerful cards like Bloodlust and Thrall, Deathseer , which will often deal critical damage when used.
Tips :
1- Electra Stormsurge : if you have 4 minions with 1/1 stats you can deal 28 damage by combo electra with blood lust .
2- Corridor Creeper : always keep 0 mana corridor to play it with Unstaible evolution or thrall .
3- Unstable Evolution and Thrall, Deathseer : the average power level of minions in 8 mana category are higher than 7 and 9 so keep that in your mind .
4- Microtech Controller : combo it with The Storm Bringer or Thrall, Deathseer if your opponent clearing your board every turn .
5-Voltaic Burst : always play voltaic before The Storm Bringer , Bloodlust , Thrall, Deathseer to get extra value .
6- always keep some tokens in your hand against control decks in case your opponent Cleared the board .
( mulligan )
You should try to find your strongest possible opening in your mulligan to ensure early board control. Flametongue Totem , Fire Fly, Primalfin Totem , and Voltaic Burst . all great choices for achieving this. Additionally you Should look for some cards depending on your match ups ....
{ Against Aggro } : You should keep one copy of (Lightning Storm ) and only use it if its really necessary be greedy as much as possible, win the board to win the game .
{ Against Control } : Look for Thrall, Deathseer or Bloodlust to Close the Match early if your opponent doesn't have answers to your board .
Strategy :
spell Hunter : Go wide and dont trigger their Secrets .
Beast Hunter : look for corridor and unstaible Evolution .
Resurrect priest : Go wide and try to finish the game before turn 7 .
Odd Paladin : Win the board win the game .
Odd Warrior : try to bait your opponent brawl before you go all out .
Cards Replacement :
cards are very flexible and you change cards like Lightning Storm , Mana Tide and Totem Feral Spirit in the deck for what you need
Electra Stormsurge > hex or MCT .
The Storm Bringer > Dynamo or 3 frogs spawn .
Corridor Creeper > Sea Gaints .
Upvote For more detailed Guide ... i will continue to update the deck with more details every couple of days .
thanks for your suggestions and HF .
I love this deck!
Ok, so it might not run hex (edit: now it does), weapon clear, silence or any of that, but that’s not needed as you should just win the board fast and tear down your opponent fast. Let the opposition use their clear on you, so always keep something on your hand to build your board again and keep the pressure.
This deck is perfect for those of us lingering between rank 15-10-5. You won’t win them all, but you will win enough.
Have a nice week!
i find the below rank10 more difficult actually, above its just tier decks that you know easily. Below you have to fight weird combos sometimes. again i dont see any chance against a control deck
I know exactly what you mean.
I just enjoy trying out new stuff because I think it’s boring to play hunter like everyone else, and if it works for me I like to point that out to the creator of the deck.
Even paladin works great against all the hunters though, at least for me...
any replacements for Electra Stormsurge?
Double Bloodlust is very satisfying :)
Love this archetype, congrats on hitting legend! The extra Microtech really helped out. Played some games with the deck, check them out;
(Games start at 1:56)
5-8 at rank 5. Not really competitive
no silence nor Frog. No boardclear options unless lightning storm hits. so as someone kills your minions (mine always do) you re screwed here. no chance of coming back. maybe get lucky once than its fun other its just frustrating.
i mean esp. against odd mage or aggro hunter (a buffed hyena or frenzied minion?) you will have to use your burst minions on them and end up with 2 bloodlust in your hand + storm bringer...
didnt play against control deck, but just thinking of big mage or evenlock or odd warri (boardclears) makes me give up here.
Any replacement for The Storm Bringer?
Is the storm bringer replacable?
im only missing corridor creepers and thrall lol.... suggestions?
play another deck. Obviously, the idea is to evolve your minions fast, and thrall is mandatory. Creeper is necessary, becasue you cheat him for 0 mana usually, and thrall evolves it to an 8 mana minion
You can add Sea Giants and more tokens but take out one unstable evolution it will change the deck completly but it might work .
Or ...
you could try High Rolling Krag'wa the Frog into Unstable Evolution as a replacement for Thrall Deathseer;
I can't say I like Thrall Deathseer that much as uncontrolled Evolve got so bad during the course of the releases; I know you mostly run Tokens, but getting a 5/5 or 1/1 8 Drops from a 0 Mana 2/5 is still a pile of garbage; although it's the point of this build and Krag'wa combo feels more for a midrange build than aggressive Token build; it might work, tho.
This deck is such a blast to play with Currently at rank 1 and I will attempt to climb to legend but in the meantime I feel like it has a very good spot on the ladder. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to play something refreshing.
I made a video showcasing the deck in all its glory, I hope you all enjoy :D
Hex
replacement for Thunderhead?
