Hey everyone! My name is Luis and today's deck guide is on a Quest Druid that I made pre-patch. I've been having a ton of fun playing this deck and have beaten decks such as Odd Paladin and Secret Hunter with it.
Although this archetype might not that high of a winrate, most players don't know how strong this deck could be in the middle and late game. Basically for the perfect start in the early game, you need either 2 Oaken Summons, 2 Cursed Disciples, or 1 of each (and a Wild Growth if your turn is second) to try and get the quest done fast, which can be done at the earliest turn 6 or 7. Once the quest is done, you can possibly play Barnabus on turn 8 and use a draw card like Ferocious Howl to get a minion at 0 mana, which is a trick I use all the time when playing this deck.
Now let's talk about Stampeding Roar and Oondasta. These 2 cards can be game changers in the sense that with these two cards, you can summon something like a Charged Devilsaur and attack the hero, which is really helpful. You can also summon a Tyrantus to clinch the game or a Amani War Bear to save yourself from death. People might be confused here, but basically summoning a minion from Stampeding Roar or Oondasta does not activate its battlecry, so charged devilsaur can attack heroes if summoned by these two cards (and maybe witching hour)..
Let's talk about card choice now. There are a few cards I want to mention and why i did/did not include them in this deck. The first is Tortollan Forager. I did not include this card due to its possibility of drawing it from Oaken Summons, which cost me some games (this is also the same risk if you have Elder Longneck). The next card is Juicy Psychmelon. This card, unless you play Barnabus first, is useless in the deck because for it to work, you need to have to have played Barnabus beforehand. However, I will consider this card if I get enough recommendations regarding this card. The last is Gloop Sprayer. This card is very slow in this deck and although it could possibly work, you might just be wasting mana and board space if you add this card.
Basically this deck has the capability to beat any deck as long as you get good rng and you play it right. I feel like the main archetype this deck will struggle against is Secret Hunter because of how strong that archetype is.
I hope you guys enjoy using this deck. If you have any recommendations or questions, don't hesitate to ask me.
Have a good 2019 everyone!
Regards, Luis

I like the version with your latest edits. It’s holding its own on the ladder. I swapped out the 2 Nourish for King Mukla and a Steel Rager. By the way, Mojomaster Zihi has singlehandedly won me games against Mechathun decks and against Priest too. Drop a pile of big minions and then include him and they cannot play their Psychic Scream. It has been a great addition so far.
I took out the Stampeding Roar and one Giant Anaconda and put in 2x Guild Recruiter. This makes the quest more reliable to achieve in the early game. It can also pull big stuff late game. I also pulled the 2x Ultimate Infestation in favor of 2x Ironhide Direhorn. I found Branching Paths, Nourish, Guild Recruiter, Oaken Summons to be plenty of card draw. Also, you might want to consider swapping Ferocious Howl out for Predatory Instincts - having a Charged Devilsaur or Amani War Bear with 14 health is awesome... not to mention the occasional 24-health Tyrantus!
I've been doing pretty well with these edits. Got from rank 15 to 12 pretty quick. Other things I'm considering - Mojomaster Zihi - once you finish the quest, you don't need much mana, but sending your opponent back to midgame while you are in the endgame? Sounds like it could work... I will try it.
I'd consider swapping Ancient of War for something else. It doesn't work well with Giant Anaconda or a post-quest Oaken Summons. Maybe damaged Stegotron?
I thought about this for a bit and I decided to make this change. Thanks for the advice!
Built, modified a little, played and had a lot of fun with your deck. +1 and well done!
Thanks! Glad you had fun! Also, what changes did you make if you made any?
Basically this deck has the capability to beat any deck as long as you get good rng and you play it right.
hahahaha
Nice build, very fun to play and surprisingly effective. However, I think the deck falls short on single target hard removal such as Naturalize, which could maybe improve the overall deck winrate. When it works - post-quest - cheating out a Charged Devilsaur from Oaken Summons is just too good! +1
