So if you deleted your Kingsbane deck after the nerf, or just want to play some aggro this is the way to go. Uberer got from #600 to #6 legend with a 69% win rate out of 72 games.
I tried it out the other night and went on a 7 game win streak (I replaced Myra's with Sprint) after which I went to sleep :)
EDIT
Thanks guys for the interest! Also thanks to @Atramentar for reminding that this deck is created by J_Alexander_HS.
GUIDE:
This deck, though it is a mix of archetypes, is primarily a tempo deck. Obviously, Kingsbane is a big part of it, but you can't win a game with this deck without a good board (which btw. normally ends up with a buffed kingsbane :) )
While playing it you have to plan to get the most out of the synergies in this deck. This means prioritizing aggressive board play (there is no vanish or lifesteal so be wary about the board as Kingsbane is not everything). Keep the coin or the elemental Fire Fly gives you to combo up with Raiding party. You can surely combo it up with Cutthroat Buccaneer etc.
Depending on the situation, use your weapon on minions or face. Also, you need to be constantly thinking about your weapon charges; do you have a way to replenish them? Can you draw your weapon again? Don't go swinging it around every turn :)
Kingsbane is good with Myra's, as you can draw it every turn by destroying it with your her power. I use sprint instead just because I don't have the legendary and it also keeps my deck :)
MULLIGAN:
You want to go for cards like Kingsbane (ofc), Shinyfinder, Fire Fly (for the combo potential), Hench-Clan Thug or Raiding Party.
Weapon buffs are ok, but only when you have Shinyfinder or a means to get that Kingsbane.
Cards as SI or Backstab depend on the matchup.
REPLACEMENTS:
Sprint for Myra's
Reckless Rocketeer for Leeroy
You can try to switch Backstab or Eviscerate for something like Vanish or Doomerang, fell free to experiment and share your thoughts in the comments.
The author playing the slightly changed list, but the general idea is the same: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/351906127
Been having great success with this deck. Thanks. 65% win rate so far. I don't have Myra's but Sprint has been a fine replacement.
I have a hard time getting cards and building a good deck! i have kingsbane and some cards that give it damage, but is there a really fast way to get packs without buying them.
Finally a deck with both Kingsbane and Myra's Unstable Element.
Thank you lord
finally kingsbane rogue is back on ladder!
Of course this appeats as soon as I dust Kingsbane.
:(
I got mine in my first ever K&C pack from my pre order. dusted in like a few days as it wasn't very good at the start.
well it wasn't that it wasn't good, it just looked like a headache to play back then as I didn't play rogue back in K&C.
please write guide mate. I'm a kingsbane noob (don't even have the card) but I would like to try it.
do you think kingsbane will be dead in wild now after the nerf? it being good in wild would be the deciding factor for me whether I want to run it or not.
this is one front page now mate anyway. you should write a guide if you have time. I think a lot of people would love to see it.
thanks.
EDIT: I've been looking at a cool wild deck with kingsbane so it's looking like I will craft it. Will give your list a try in standard if I do.
Don't think of this as a kingsbane deck, think of it as an aggro deck that has kingsbane. Play it like you would play tempo rogue or odd rogue.
With traditional kingsbane decks, you would try to survive and save your buffs to build a massive kingsbane and win in the very late game. With this version, just pressure your opponent as much as you can.
Edit: apparently this list was created by J_Alexander_HS, so you can probably find some VOD's in his twitch to see how he plays the deck
yeah j alexander is a rogue god. I seen a stream of his last week where he played like 7 or so rogue archetypes in one stream.
also I think this is the future of kingsbane (for the time it has left in standard at least, this is how it is)
I am not certain what the nerfs entailed, but it has forced kingsbane decks to be a lot more aggressive.
the wild one with the pirates is really good deck though and probably plays more like the OG ones.
The guide is done.
When playing aggro you have to accept that you won't beat every deck
Allright so I went 6-1 versus Hunters which is nice considering the meta. On the other end I lost to mage the moment they draw their new hero, and also lost to control warlocks. I think a pair of vanish would improve those match ups, just not sure what to drop for them
I also wouldn't mind some tips on this. I've not played kingsbane before but it;s the only card I need for this deck so tempted to craft it.
Well, it depends on you. I would advise not to craft the Kingsbane because it will rotate out soon. Better spend your dust on classic legendaries or something with more of a future to it :)
thanks for the advice mate. I want kingsbane for wild more than standard though. I am transitioning to wild this year (but still playing standard too. I mean why not enjoy both, it's like 2 different metas so if you;re sick of one you still have another)
I would be interested in some how to play tips.
I played Kingsbane before, but with lifesteal and vanish is was probably very different from today's
Play it like you would play tempo rogue
