Shout out to Tommy Wave for the video. Thanks.
Captain Greenskin welcomes you aboard as part of his Tempo Crew. You will be part of the Raiding Party with your fellow Dread Corsair's guarding the flanks, or with the Southsea Deckhand's with trusty Shadowblade in hand.
(we picked up those Shadowblade's from a goblin who claims to have survived the scourge, they're supposed to protect the user from taking damage, but it only works once... I guess we will have ta get one of the grunts to try it out, hahahaha)
or maybe you'd prefer to lend support to the Hench-Clan Thug's who can help us secure the middle ground? These guys are no joke. (if there's weapons being swung, you can guarantee these guys to put in the work mid game. I tell ya, worth every penny)
Edwin VanCleef leads the attack on the flanks, using such tools as Fan of Knives and Preparation, while the Fire Fly's lend a hand with Backstab so Edwin VanCleef can land the Eviscerate
(Fan of Knives is great against those pesky paladin's, just let Edwin VanCleef do his thing, I swear his backstabbing roguery could put a Goblin to shame. a little of this, a dash of that and then it's "BAAAAM" ... before you know it's bye, bye teeth as he hits you in the face for 10 damage. He's absolutely invaluable to the set up)
While Edwin VanCleef utilizes subterfuge to clear the way, hoping to land a juicy 10 damage to the face himself, Leeroy Jenkins is blindly rushing forward with chicken fuelled focus and total disregard for the Fal'dorei Strider who's job is to set up spider ambushes for when Captain Greenskin unleashes his ultimate weapon, Myra's Unstable Element.
Stolen from the labs of Dr. Boom himself and the prize possession of our fearless leader.
(ahh, my precious... ahem I mean look at this here trinket what I boosted from Dr. Boom, ha ha. We was in school together, I never liked him much.
Anyway, this beautiful treasure has the power rip apart the fabric of the space time continuum and pull in trinkets from other alternate dimensions or something like that.
It's supposed to be extremely dangerous, but all I know is this thing lends crazy tempo to an attack and more often than not is the perfect final nail in your enemies coffin)
Captain Greenskin will use Myra's Unstable Element for that last bit of reach needed, finding some kind of trinket for Leeroy Jenkins to find that final blow... ahhh Cold Blood this will do nicely.
(Leeroy Jenkins totally a loose cannon. but every crew needs a wild card, right? just don't leave any eggs lying around as he has a tendency to break them.. as crazy as the guy is, I find he is perfect to land the killing blow. You just need to keep him off the battlefield until you're ready to close up and smorc shop)
now just to Sap this last guy so Leeroy Jenkins can take the Cold Blood and go face for lethal.
So that's the plan kid, what do ya say.. you in?
I don't have Captain Greenskin. Any replacement and still have a good winrate?
do you have Zilliax?
this is the safest replacement. but the thing is that greenskin buffs the shadowblade to 4 which gets you the corsairs for free.
it would just mean that the cheapest you can get the corsairs is 1 mana each and there would be fewer pirates for raiding party to pull.
You could try a bucaneer or something that gives weapon damage though if you don't have zilliax neither.
I have Zilliax! I will try that and give it a go.
yeah, that should work out fine for you.
if you do get greenskin from a pack or something though, try it out.
This deck is absolutely fantastic! the amount of value that can be cheated out in the early game is quite impressive and I love seeing an old deck evolve like this. I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to climb with rogue at the moment, you'll definitely have a great time.
I also made a video showcasing the deck in action which I hope you all enjoy :D
I make vids like this one almost everyday for decks from hearthpwn, consider joining us:

thanks dude. I will add this to the description.
I made the guide into a story, but I've not done the muligan guide yet.
удивительно что в твоем видео нет ни одного боя с охотником.
да, я встречал много охотников в последнее время. почти каждая игра
where did the video go? LoL.
I tried to do something different with the guide, making it into a story. I will need to go back in and edit it till it's right, so bare with me please.
hey guys, would anyone like to help me write the Mulligan guide for this deck, please?
I can write the regular guide no problem, but I'm not good enough a player to give you all perfect advice on what cards to keep VS. whatever class.
basically I just choose what makes common sense really. you throw back pirates and stuff that costs a lot, keep low cost cards so you can get a start. I know learning to Mulligan properly would make me a better player, but TBH I don't play competitively, it's why decks being fun is more important to me than straight up winrate.
I am learning to become a better HS player though through examining my replays and hopefully getting critique on said replays so I can learn from my mistakes.
Anyway, I want to make this guide the best it can be and I will need some help on the Mulligan advice.
I have a few friends on here I can talk to about it, but they're in different timezones so it won't be till later tonight for my fellow EU folks.
thanks again for all the interest in the deck.
I must point out again though that I got this deck from the pro player "J. Alexander" and I didn't create this on my own.
https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveHS/comments/adpt7w/myracle_rogue_a_guide/
I think this might be a good reference here ;) Alexander mentions the mulligan for this deck @reddit, which you can find in the link.
Nobody is talking about this, maybe I am missing it; one question to this deck:
Not even one vilespine slayer? Don't you miss them, also Alexander didn't mention this? Is there an explanation why you do not play vilespine?
I can explain this.
sap is better. vilespine is too slow and costly. he did used to have 1 vilespine in the deck and 1 sap but he changed it.
with sap you can get past something blocking lethal for much cheaper. as this is a tempo deck it's a lot more streamlined this way. you can't really give up sap, and taking out more things for vilespine would most likely mess with the flow of the deck too much. (also we will loose vilespine soon, so I'm starting to phase it out so I don't get hit by it's rotation too hard, ha ha)
I think if you look at the deck history that might be the case here as well.
thanks for this info anyway as now I can make the guide. (it's my birthday today though so I don't know if I will get it finished, will try though)
EDIT: yeah he says in his guide that the Mulligan is the toughest part to get down into words. I thought as much. it's not easy to Mulligan for.
I have learned to Mulligan for decks like odd rogue and odd paladin as they are a lot more focussed and it just makes sense what to keep etc... with something with a miracle aspect to it it becomes waaay harder to Mulligan as your options increase 10 fold.
Replacement for Myra's Unstople Element?
Totally unnecessary, just for when you need that little bit of extra draw to topdeck lethal. In my opinion, it's not a very good card in a deck like this (I personally think it's better with Academic Espionage), but that's my opinion. Other people will probably tell you something else. If you have the dust for a legendary, then definitely go for [card[Zilliax[/card], it's probably one of the best and most common legendaries in standard. However, you can just replace it with Sprint. Similar effect, but it works as a hand refiller, not as a finisher.
myra's is the best rogue card right now. I'd advise crafting it if you play a lot of rogue decks. This deck won't function as well without it, but you could replace it with a copy of sprint I guess.
it's the card that gives you that extra push to win games. this particular deck is built around using unstable for reach. there isn't another card that does what it does. you can draw 9 cards at once and get spiders on board. and for 2 mana if you have a prep.
I used to feel like it wasn't needed until I started playing with it. now it goes in everything, it's helped streamline my decks by being able to remove clunky drawing mechanics and they're performing way better now.
people saying this probably don't have it and have never used it. (just saying, because otherwise they'd realize how amazing it is like I did)
I was on the fence and just went for it... I'm extremely glad I did though as any successful rogue right now needs to be played aggressively and myra's is probably the best draw in the game for aggressive decks.
I don't think I've played it and lost, put it that way.
in short, you can't replace it.
you'd have to rebuild the deck.
I mean technically you could run a copy of sprint, but the deck would suffer immensely. if you were to take out unstable you would probably want to change a bunch more things as well.
I can help you build a deck with what you have though if you want? just let me know.
Well, at least in my opinion, I don't like the card very much. If it works, then good for you. I didn't mean to sound like a pretentious know-it-all, it's just that in my personal opinion, I have not had success with the card. If it is, in fact, irreplaceable, then I apologise for saying that it is unecessary.
I wonder if this format can be good in Wild ladder, or adjusted for it.
Very tempted to craft that Myra spell...
I'd recommend it, I don't know how I was playing without it. it's probably the best card we have right now. it should go in any fast rogue deck, and all rogue decks are fast now so basically all rogue decks. ha ha.
