Overview:
The main idea of this Odd Dragon Warrior deck, which became possible in the most recent Hearthstone Expansion Rastakhans Rumble, is to stall out the game for as long as possible to the point where all non-combo decks run out of steam and lose out late game. This deck does well into a lot of aggro and midrange decks, but due to its lack of active win condition (which will be in Odd Quest Warrior which I am going to play next week) the deck struggles into combo decks. Armor, taunts, board wipe, and some extra removal with the dragon package allows for you to control the board into most matchups in the current meta, although there are definitely some that still beat this deck due to the lack of win condition. Being conservative with this deck and not wasting removal can be a decent play due to all the armor gain in this deck, but that being said, knowing the limits of this deck and how far you can push you board state before you are forced to use removal can be confusing and that understanding comes with time, but the great news about this deck is it takes A LOT to push this deck to the point where it is in danger with aggro or midrange.
Mulligans:
Combo: Keep minions and dragons and play aggressively. Literally the only way you win is if you get some decent minions to stick (like a 7/4 dragon or a big taunt from a Stonehill Defender) and pressuring damage. Basically keep minions and omega assembly and pick the most aggressive mech you can.
Aggro and Midrange:
Keeping board wipe like Reckless Fury and Brawl are pretty decent options due to the fact that these decks want to build a wide board and if you can wipe it on 5 then they will never be able to get back to a point where they can pressure you effectively with all your armor and other removal. Keeping the Shield Slam, Stonehill Defender, and Omega Assembly are pretty good options as well.

is there a good replacement for Dr. Boom, Mad Genius?
i got rank 2 with the deck, nice !!
I played 3 games so far. All spell hunter. Won 2 in fatigue and lost 1 in fatigue. I was doing fine when i lost, 3 solid minions and hunter was at -6hp in fatigue....then he played zuljin...triple deadly shot my board and 15 charge dmg with huffers...ourskilled.
While its +/- working the games are insanly long and boring. All 3 hunters i played i basicly didnt hit his face once until almost fatigue.
Yeah, OP calling this "the best deck in hunterstone" when Rexxar exists is a blatant lie, lol. Odd warrior is tier 3 at best in this meta.
This deck wins by running non-OTK Decks out of steam. How do you beat Rexxar then?
Quest is better vs OTK decks, you absolutely need those random fireballs, otherwise they have too much time to make the combo
Any thoughts on how to handle Deathrattle Priest. Ran into a couple of them, and they seemed to be the main deck I couldn't find any workaround for.
As for the person who asked on how to deal with OTK decks - pretty much the same for any deck against one of those. Either kill them before they pull their combo, or find a way to keep them from implementing it. One advantage of Warlock is their card that lets you turn one card in both players hands into a Demon - a lot of OTK decks can be defanged if played at the right time.
Deathrattle priest, OTK paladin, Mecha'thun decks, just concede.
Odd quest warrior is far better, and this is a copied list...
This is a copied list indeed, there's nothing new here.
Stats say that the winrate of this list is about the same of that of odd quest warrior, however this list does perform better then the old odd warrior list without the dragons.
Warrior is the better control deck :)
What is the win condition against OTK decks?
is zilliax absolutely necessary? what can i replays it with? alextraza?
well zilliax is one of the safest crafts in the game atm (maybe the safest of all non-classic)... so get him asap...he still stays in standard for 16 months
sure, thanks. i just did :)
I would say Zill is a must have and he is a super safe craft cause he will be in the meta for a while. If you have to replace it then Alex might be pretty decent to help dragon synergy and provide aggression or survivablilty. Ysera by any chance?
lol This is an exact copy of this deck: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1216881-odd-dragon-warrior.
I did replace one roaster by Alextrasza which is definitely decent. Maybe Ysera can be thrown in as well. but I don't think you can replace supercollider. Perhaps Gorehowl can do the job, but Collider is just too good imo
My progress with similar deck https://imgur.com/Rf2r9uO
Edit: Stats are mostly from post-nerf matchups, but there are several pre-nerf matchups (mostly against Druid and Rogue).
Solid Winrates my friend
