Hey hearthpwn!
It's Happy_Bois here with another awesome deck for all of you. Before we start I'd like to say that this is in no way an original deck and in fact is more of a deck spotlight. But the reason we felt the need to share was our win rate in legend. We went 21-7 last night achieving a 75% win rate and we feel that right now this deck is virtually a meta breaker.

General Strategy:
The reason that dragon control priest is a little different to many other control decks is because it has a minion-heavy board as opposed to always reacting to your opponents board with spells. You will often finding yourself slamming down a dragon boi in response to a weak turn or even just using your most OP clear in the deck: Duskbreaker.
That being said, everything you do is just to survive long enough to play Alexstrasza followed by a scary burst damage turn with multiple Mind Blast 's. Here are the exact combo's laid out:
(ping refers to Anduin's 2 damage hero power)
- Play Alexstrasza (setting your opponents health to 15) --> Holy Fire + 2 x Mind Blast = 15 damage.
- Play Alexstrasza (setting your opponents health to 15) --> ping + Mind Blast + ping + Mind Blast + ping = 16 damage.
- Play Alexstrasza (setting your opponents health to 15) --> ping + 3 x Mind Blast + ping = 19 damage.
- Play Alexstrasza (setting your opponents health to 15) --> ping + 4 x Mind Blast = 22 damage.
^^ you are able to get multiple Mind Blast by discovering two more using Shadow Visions.
Card Inclusions:
Mojomaster Zihi: The only change we made to the standard list is we cut one Acolyte of Pain for Zihi. The reason for this is because we found we had enough card draw already and really needed a way to tech against combo decks. By adding Zihi we give ourselves three full turns extra to win the game against the following decks: Mecha'thun Priest, Evenlock (no DK), Spell Hunter (bye bye Zul'jin), Control OTK Pali, Taunt Druid (rip Hadronox/Undatakah/Oakheart).
^^ That being said if you don't have him it's not a train smash. Just throw in an Acolyte of Pain or maybe a Divine Hymn if you're playing Hunterstone.
Shameless Stream Promotion:
We are a starter stream and would really appreciate any support! We create new decks on stream and test out all the top decks on Hearthpwn so feel free to pop in and hang :)
And lastly, if you enjoyed this deck, give it an upvote, every +1 means a higher chance that others get to see it and enjoy it too!
Much love and GL on ladder everyone :D

Thank you for this deck!
yayyy
I added one mass hysteria and 2 spirits of the dead. really like the spirit in control. adds to the deck as you thin it and provides 1 cost cards to dump while pushing with Anduin. havent played much of it yet but really enjoying it!
Interesting, what did you cut?
Отсаывает контрольвару.
I'm glad i read this, i was going to take holyfire out, but it just won me the game again a warlock that discarded one of mindblasts.
My favorite Bois back with a tough as nails deck! Really love this list, the Zihi especially helped out quite a lot. While I'm no Control Priest expert, we had a lot of fun! Check out the games;
(Games start at 3:50)
Still learning my way around the archetype but thanks for such a detailed write-up! It really helped!
Thanks for sharing, good luck on the legend climb and a happy new year y'all!
Really trying to make this work but haven't won a single game yet, currently 0-7 :/
Budget version for someone (me) that does not have Crowd Roaster, Twilight Acolyte, Cabal Shadow Priest and Mojo Master Zihi?
None of those cards are essential, cut them for budget dragons or just control'y priest spells
any ideas?
Dragonmaw Scorcher, another Primordial Drake, Mass Dispel, Acolyte of Pain, Chief Inspector for all the bloody hunters, Wild Pyromancer. You can really put alot in the deck. Mostly depends on what you are playing against. I personally am playing against 50% hunters so I like the Dragonmaw Scorcher for their smaller minions and trading, and the Chief Inspector makes Secret hunter quit sometimes. But he is a useless card in many match ups.
This deck is great! I'm currently 7-1(loss due to absolute terrible draw against hunter) and I havent even had to play Zihi. Acolyte/shadow priest swing will forever feel good lol.
Thank you for posting !
Just made the deck and so far have one every game I played at rank 5-4.
5 wins so far
3 deathrattle hunters, an odd paladin, and a less efficient dragon preist.
So far the key has been save the twilight/cabal shadow priest combo for a huge swing.
Exactly, those swings can be game.winning!
Hey guys I just hit Legend for the first time since I am playing HS!
Many thanks for this awesome deck so fun to play with!
I was stuck on rank 2 with the OTK Priest deck for a long time and this brought me to the next stage, (65% WR to Legend)
I think I could have achieved a better WR if I would have play without some dumb mistakes but anyways thank you again
So glad to hear man! This deck is awesome for that final climb!
when play Mojomaster Zihi ? thx
When you know your opponent needs more than 6 mana to swing the game. Can get you one extra turn against a Psychic Scream, three more turns before hunters Zul Jin and three turns more against a number of other combo decks.
This build, and the build being promoted on the most recent data reaper report seem to exclude Wild Pyromancer and Primordial Drake. I just hit legend today running a build with Pyros and Drakes after struggling earlier in my climb with builds relying on Scaleworm and Crowdroaster. While true that Pyros are better for more aggressive meta with decks like Odd Paladin, I still am often able to get three pings off it, or able to use it to clear off some stragglers to preserve a Psychic Scream for more dire circumstances. It's also great to combo with Acolyte of Pain, Cleric, and Divine Hymn. While I agree with the data reaper report that the Drake's 2 dmg AOE isn't very strong in the current meta, I do think it's taunt and higher health stat line make it a more solid choice. I found the 7 dmg removal from crowdroaster to be overkill and it often gets easily cleared at 4 health.
Mojomaster is a very interesting inclusion I would never have considered. It definitely kills combos, but I see this as a bit of a combo deck in it's own right. I'll have to play around with it at legend.
Regardless, very fun deck with a high skill cap, interesting games, and that DESTROYS the current meta. Even though this really beats down hunter once you get the hang of it, Deathstalker Rexxar always has the potential to singlehandedly allow them to win a game they had no business winning.
If curious I run:
-Mojomaster Zihu, Crowdroaster, Glutenous Ooze, Scalebanex2, Cabal Shadowpriest, and Holy Fire
+Wild Pyromancer x2, Primordial Drake x2, Divine Hymn, Acolyte of Pain, and Mass Hysteria
I think Holy Fire instead of Divine Hymn is a smart choice. Do you think it's worth the swap? Do you still like the one divine hymn for your clerics?
