With the expansion introducing new cards, almost everyone (except for the odd few) are building and testing new and innovative decks! One of these decks is the OTK Paladin. Designed and built by our Saltlord, Kripparian, the deck first mills itself very quicky until there are no cards remaining. Then, you use the new Baleful Banker card to shuffle Shirvallah, the Tiger into your empty deck, and finish off with Holy Wrath to your opponent's face. This results in a high 25-damage combo, easily killing off any player. If for whatever reason your opponent lives, you can use Time Out to get another free turn, and you can do the combo again!

 

However, this expansion also introduced an ancient OP sleeper deck. I know you're wondering why I don't have any of the cards I mentioned in my deck list? That's because you don't need any of the combo pieces to win. Your opponent literally concedes when you mill your deck 9999.5% of the time. You don't even need to spend a turn to kill them, essentially making this a zero-turn kill deck. All you have to do is stack as much stall and draw cards as you can into your deck and wait until you're out of cards. Having none of the combo pieces also removes the chance of you burning them, causing your opponent to be on edge and playing cautiously. This deck's winrate rises as you go up the ladder, as the higher skilled players will recognize the power of this deck and not waste time trying to beat it.

 

Card Choices

Blessing of Wisdom When played on your own minion, this card lets you draw out your deck very quickly. It also adds a soft taunt to that minion. When played on an opponent's minion it can also dissuade them from attacking. It also encourages your opponent to get you to overdraw, but you really don't care about that. There's nothing in the deck to burn. If not, it'll tilt your opponent wondering why nothing important was burned. Overall, an excellent draw and stall card.

Hidden Wisdom Nobody plays this card so they'll never expect it. You only play one because they'll expect the second one

Bloodmage Thalnos This card lets you draw and gives you some nice spell power. It's also the only legendary in the deck, but that's like the cost of half the deck. Replace it if you're absolutely broke

 

All the other cards are either here to draw more cards, or are just great paladin cards in general, just to make this deck look like a threat. Don't forget to hit them with the "Well Played!" as you draw your last card

 

Over time, I expect this deck to be nerfed. But before then, give this deck a try! Tell your friends! Ask Kripp to play it on stream and go for more than a mere 999.5% winrate!
