More demons, more discards, more card draw, less self damage, less lifesteal.
Yeah, Hir'Eek is not only slow but useless most of the time.
What do you think about playing Soularium on turn 3, so it can pull Keleseth faster (which then could be played with the remaining 2 mana) and/or Jeklik which gets discarded and thus doubled.
Dinomancer wasn't that good. I swapped the card for Siphon Soul for now, since I don't have the Blood-Queen.
Another question I have: When do you play Howlfiend? On curve or only when you have Jeklik?
I actually still haven't tried the Keleseth version (I'm 20 packs away from the pity timer and have most KoFT legendaries, so I'm hoping to get him instead of crafting - if I don't, I'll craft (but short on gold to buy them now)). But in my other version with Zavas, I don't play Howlfiend until I have Zavas or Jeklik in hand. With either one in hand, he becomes insane. And then when Guldan brings him back with a hand full of Jekliks, it's even better. Also, one thing I noticed is that opponents actually respect Howlfiend, they either use removal on it or try to freeze it.
I really like this deck. It's really fun to play. I do not have Blood-Queen Lana'thel and I'm still looking for a good replacement. Right now I just added Cruel Dinomancer but since I got wrecked by a Mecha'din (among others) who kept buffing that single minion, I'm thinking single target removal would be better. So I'm testing Siphon Soul soon.
I'm still learning how to best play this kind of deck. Do you have a few tips? Like, when is the best time to play The Soularium? Do you use in the late game when you are looking for specific cards or do you use it early (like when you have 3 Mana) to try and get Keleseth and/or High Priestess Jeklik (which will be discarded and thus copied)?
I'm also thinking about testing Hir'eek, the Bat for fun, since there is a bit of handbuff in the deck.
Hir'eek in my opinion is too slow. Most people who play Quest, play Soularium on turn 2 (or 1 with coin). I feel that it's wasteful in this deck. I actually use Soularium 2 different ways in this deck:
1. Around turn 4-5 if I didn't draw into Jeklik yet, to try to get her and have enough mana to play whatever else it pulls instead of discarding. It's also good for seeding your Soulwarden if you already have her in hand by turn 5.
2. Just keep it in hand without playing it at all to protect your other cards from getting discarded, it's usually discarded as "lowest cost card", protecting your other minions.
How is Cruel Dinomancer working for you? He felt too slow in my deck when I tried him, but I guess if he summons a Doomguard, Soulwarden or jeklik, he'd be great, especially if you have Zola in hand to make use of it.
