I played Razakus to rank 1 even after Raza nerf, and I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong, because I keep losing with this deck.
I assume that is probably my fault - I'm not criticizing the list - but most aggro decks keep thrashing me even if I start with Spirit Lash and early removals, they are simply too fast and too furious. Big Priest destroys me, Mecha'thun Druid is a pain in the... you know. How the hell I'm supposed to climb the ladder? I really don't understand if I'm being monstrously unlucky or if I'm doing something wrong.  Do you have any guide based on current meta?

Thank you for posting the deck! I was stuck going back and forth between ranks 3 and 1, but I took your deck to legend for the first time :D

Only hiccups I had during the grind were due to two Kingsbane Rogues getting back into the game with Myra's Unstable Element, as well as Pirate Warrior who got had both captains out on a board full of pirates by turn 5 (while I full mulliganned into all of my most expensive cards).

The deck is very solid sustaining board presence or retaking the board. I found myself very often holding my own even during plenty of games without Anduin being drawn early on. And of course the deck just slaughters Even Shaman & Odd Rogue. Kingsbane Rogue seemed like an okay match-up, if you didn't draw poorly while they drew great. I didn't run into too many Odd Warrior thankfully (I'd imagine they would be an unfavored match-up?)

Lastly, I subbed out Thalnos for a primordial drake since I didn't have him.

i took Spirit Lash and Thalnos out. Put in Velen and Firetree Doctor

Just play any other good card. Firetree Witchdoctor was in there at some point.

I made the first version of this back in January based on a standard version played at the worlds 2018, see my other deck (https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1024093-s46-wild-legend-dragon-reno-priest). So you're not wrong, I did not reinvent the wheel, however it's not from hsreplay.

Potion of Madness beats Barnes into Statue or Lichking. If their Barnes rolls Ragi, you need another removal in addition. If Barnes rolls YShraaj, you'll most likely lose. If the game goes long, you're actually favored. Keep PoM, Shadow Visions, Kazakus, Raza, Emperor and DK.

Did Firetree Witchdoctor work for you? I was wondering if you can get reliable board clears or I have to expect Purify, Circle of Healing and Mass Dispel every time :-D

I like her and most of the time at least one of the spells is useful. Agreed, the ones you mention aren't too good but two of those can replace themselves. Circle of Healing can draw with Northshire Cleric or reset the hero power for free in a combo turn.

Well yeah, I gave it a try and I was offered a Resurrect against Odd Paladin, which was quite good to keep up with the board. Definitely not a bad card and if you highroll with board clears it's very good.

Did you really reach legend with this in the latest season?

Probably going to be a staple list for a long time. The only thing I don't really like about this list is the Greater Healing Potion.

Well, I put the Greater Healing Potion in because in my last 12 games on Rank 1 there, six of them were Odd Rogue and I wanted some more heal against their chip damage in case I don't draw Reno. But I can see that other tech cards like Dirty Rat or Ooze can be more appropriate for your meta.

Edit: Swapped Greater Healing Potion for Bloodmage Thalnos.
