Well, the deck is builded around her. You have three high winrate cards (win condition) in the deck Leeroy Jenkins , Prince Keleseth and Captain Hooktusk so yeah she is a must in this version.

Does Valeera work in this deck?

Definitely not.

Any good replacement for greenskin ? 

Spirit of the Shark, Gluttonous Ooze, Spellbreaker, Zilliax, another 1 cost minion... your choice :)

I tried this deck tho and i have the feeling most of the time i get all my pirates in hand (draw them) and hooktusk value is just bad. I made my own list for pirate rogue you can check out and see you need a lot of pirates if you want to be all the time rdy on hooktusk value.Also this deck need some juicy weapons like shadowblades i put that in as well great sinergy with Dread Corseir. Here is my list

Stayinmytrap8, it happened with me in about 7 games of 120. So you think Shadowblade is better than Hench-Clan Thug and cast a 3 cost spell on this deck will help you gain "tempo"? You also dont have Saronite Chain Gang, sorry but it's a no for me.

I've been itching to craft Captain Hooktusk, as Rogue is my fav class, and I'm happy with this. Didn't get her in my grand pack opening and I was wondering if there'll be a spot for her, and here it is! Fast testing, 2-0 at R5 (unknown Priest - conceded fast - and unknown Druid), will do more tomorrow. Fingers crossed for no Hunters ;) 

Hey Prismal, i feel the same about Cannon Barrage when it works it's really good but you need a lot of setup to make it good. I think the aggro pirate rogue is just a fun archetype right now with Cannon Barrage being the best card in the deck.

Any possible replacements for Southsea Captain or Captain Hooktusk?

You will basically need to build a new deck without the pirates. Problably the Boarcontrol version with Corpsetaker , Spirit of the Shark etc, you can find it on hearthstonetopdecks.

Have you enjoyed playing with the Greenskin or Ooze more? Obviously which is better is going to be meta-dependent, but do you find that the 7th pirate improves consistency enough for it to be worth running over Ooze?

I'd say yes, from my experience and looking in the HSReplay stats he is pretty decent in the play, he is obvsly the worst Pirate to pull from Captain Hooktusk you really want to hit that Ticket Scalper and Cursed Castaway those cards are not that good on the play but still i think the Captain Greenskin is a good addition.

Played 3 games today and i won them all, just hit legend with the deck guys!! Some of you guys may know i was always a fan of Keleseth Tempo Rogue and Pirates so this deck is the perfect mix for me. I really slept on Captain Hooktusk I thought she was not going to work in this expansion but turns out she is one of the best Tempo play card in standard imo.

 Is there any reasoning behind Captain Greenskin besides him being a large pirate?

Not really, it's just because i like the card although if he upgrades your weapon to 2/3 that's 6 damage in 3 turns not that bad. You can play any other card you want on this slot, Gluttonous Ooze , Zilliax , Edwin VanCleef or another one drop minion for example.

I played some more with the deck today (Day 09 December) and i want to share with you my experience. I started really bad losing so many games by either very bad match ups or insane unlucky RNG getting to the point of staying with 37% Winrate and de-rank from 2 to 4!! I thought about stopping and trying again another time because i obvsly was so tilted but I decided to persist and continue playing than i changed this to 56% Winrate and climbed from Rank 4 to 1! Now im three wins for the Legend! Those are my stats from today:







so never give up guys, even if it's all going wrong for you, change deck if you feel better and stay positive you'll get to legend!
