True, dude
starting from rank 20 to 15 it was mostly spell hunters, so far baited arrow is the mvp of the rumble adds. zuljin is very random.
take this with a grain of salt at best since i only have 9 games in and only managed 7/2 so far against players who probablly hadnt played hunter in a while. a balky start will hurt in the mirror. both of my losses came from bad mulls on the open. you really dont want zuljin in hand if you go first :)
Zul'jin has been always consistently good or even usually extremely good for me. Baited Arrow, hm? I guess I should give it a shot.
This is just awful, I've lost every single game to any deck that plays a minion before turn 6. No early game, no answer for mid-game threats with more than 3 toughness. I've never survived long enough to even sniff casting Rexxar, let alone Zul'Jin.
Try this variation

Crap Deck!!!
3-0 so far but I'm only rank 20. Regardless, it's a fun updated version of Solo Hunter and that's all I wanted. Thanks.
The same. 6-0 Rank 18. Good update.
Still not have been able to play Zul'Jin ^^
I played it once....it was f...kin crazy :D. It turned the game
Try something else, or at least wait a few days. Its a good deck but its not worth to destroy your collection.
As Gelu83 says, you should really wait until the meta has settled. Creating a deck on day one, only for it to reach tier 3 or 2 is quite a waste if you would like to climb the ladder.
As of right now, playing standard meta decks should work wonders. People are still figuring out what is good, or bad for the matter, so the consistency of the old decks should give you some time to climb. The deck i've climbed the most with is without a doubt secret hunter, so that would be my advise. (Note: I'm normally around rank 5 at the end of season)
This is only given the fact that you have some of the cards. But, Secret hunter is pretty cheap, and can probably be made with your budget. :D
I would recommend something like this: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1211086-low-cost-spell-hunter
But without Zul'jin, and with project 6 or whatever it's name is, which draws 5 secrets from your deck.
Can't seem to see the deck you posted... :(
Never dust your collection for a day 1 deck. Wait 2 weeks for the meta to settle before choosing one deck to craft completely.
I bet you can get legend with Spell Hunter in December. It remains to be seen which list will be best though, so you might wanna wait till a conclusion is reached. I for one disagree with a lot of Kripp's choices.
Unleash the Hounds seems like a very odd choice for this deck, as your Zul'jin board will be a lot weaker. Kill Command and Baited Arrow will also fire all over the place.
Zul'jin can only be played after Deathstalker Rexxar if it will set up lethal. Honestly, I would just forget about the Zul'jin idea and rather play Secret Plan...
Deadly shot is awesome in this deck; I think it will outperform hunter's mark and candleshot on average. As far as Unleash the Hounds, it's in there because it synergizes so insanely well with revenge of the wild that it's worth playing even if it makes you Zul'jin worse.
I don't know the mechanic yet but I assume it doesn't create the exact same unleash the hounds board state as it did when you initially played it. In other words, if the enemy has one minion on the board, unleash the hounds off Zul'Jin will only bring back one hound.
I see nothing wrong with that, considering you will also be casting to my side + flanking + spellstone etc, ultimately resulting in about 4-6 minions on board.
I absolutely see this being a meta-defining deck this expansion. Great stuff as always, Kripp.
