Then once you have 4 Shirvallah's in your deck and only Shirvallah's, try to get your opponent under 25 HP and use Holy Wrath and boom. RIP.
Try to get at least 5 damage on your opponent at least, it makes this a lot easier/faster with less setup - but other than that:
1. Draw your deck. Your combo pieces are Tiger (necessary), Holy Wraith (Need at least 1), Baleful (Need at least one, 2 if no Ellek), and Ellek (Not necessary if you only need 25 dmg and can ensure Hly wraith hit on Tiger)
2. You draw and stall. By doing this you'll ensure that Tiger is 0 mana if you go thru most of your deck. The new things that make this datatype possible are high base cost and easy discount on Tiger + paladins new pseudo ice block but "bettter" (cant steal it or stop it) and the new heal that draws a card and activates pyro (At this point, the basics are explained)
3. Try to take into account your opponents decktype. This will heavily dictate how liberal you need to be with stalls and clears. Sometimes you have to be stingy (though this depends on the draw order)
4. You HAVE to be thinking ahead a LOT. This deck while not necessarily "super hard" is equal or more plan heavy, because you arent just getting cards and boo, or kill openent boom done, you have to take into account the clears you have, will, your hand be too full to keep drawing/ OK, better use those clears now so you get value and not die (etc, this could go on for a while with me explaining scenarios b ut u get the idea)
5. Be prepared to change your "exact win condition". Sometimes you jsut kill them thryu tempo, tho rare, and tyring to wait for the ideal combo will make you lose, so you do the tigers early and pray, or you use the holy wraith early bc theyll die anyways, etc etc gotta use your brain a lot
That basically it, sorry shitty keyboard so typos but you should understand most of this. Ill try to answer other questions but no promises. ilve covered the general play-style fairly well, obv their will be niche matches and each deck matchup is different, but this is the vast majority. You gotta be aware now more than ever about what cards your opponenets class can have, cause with no set meta rn it could be a bunch of "usallly terrible but sometimes fucks you" techs in their deck, the good part about this is they will not exactly know your deck very well if at all (so far ive seen a bunch of people having no idea what to do against me and not realizing they need to pull the trigger early for a chance to win) yada yada
good luck
There's some great help here, but to lay it out.
1) Your endgame is to cast Shirvallah, the Tiger, cast Augmented Elekk, and then cast Baleful Banker, all with 0 cards in your library. A turn of Shirvallah + Augmented + two Baleful results in you shuffling 4 copies of Shirvallah back into your deck. In practice, shuffling 3 should be sufficient in most games, as your goal is to next turn cast two Holy Wraths at face for 50 damage.
1a) This works because Shirvallah is 25 in your deck, even though he's ideally 0 in practice.
1b) Augmented + two Baleful Bankers + Shirvallah gets you four Shirvallahs, more than enough, and leaves up exactly enough mana to use Time Out! to ensure you cannot be beaten before Holy Wrath-ing out.
Because you have a 6-7 card Combo that requires an empty deck, the rest of the slots are dedicated towards two goals:
2) You need to empty your deck. This deck isn't doing anything cutesy with Hemet, Jungle Hunter or other nonsense; you are just using classics like Loot Hoarder and Acolyte of Pain. Countess Ashmore is a big help since it draws Shirvallah and also 1-2 other cards. Flash of Light is a reasonably big addition, granting sustain while cantriping.
3) You need to not die, using the time-tested combo of Big Taunts (Spikeridged Steed, Stonehill Defender) and control paladin tools (Equality, Consecration, Hammer of Wrath, Wild Pyromancer). Potion of Heroism is probably the most unusual card in the deck, and is seemingly just to let you trigger Wild Pyro without damaging Wild Pyro and also drawing a card and reducing Shirvallah's cost by 2.
I only need Shirvallah to make this deck actually. But I dunno if I should craft it since I'm scared it may turn out to be a bad card after the meta set up.
Just have to worry about some kind of secret destroying it when you summon it but the OTK comes from having it in your deck and using Holy Wrath to face.
Playing around counterspell and evasion is braindread easy 90%+ or more of the time - and they HAVe to play them and SAVE them on the EXACT turn you HAVE to play the combo, which is in and of itsself VERY hard to determine because due to the massive amounts of clears, taunts, spells, your hero power being able to bust evasion, 2 "better ice blocks", its super versatile, and the fact that they have to know what type of deck you are exactly, because saving something like Counterspell for an endgame cmbo VS saving it for steed, is a game losing decison in every other type of paladin deck
To beat this deck you have to hope either your tempo is too heavy,m you can draw your cmbo faster (very difficult for any class even druid), they are bad, or they draw extremely poorly, all of these things are much more likely to occur over having a secret somehow exactly fuck you
Is this deck worth spending your entire dust on making it?
Nobody knows, it's release day.
Never spend all of your dust on a new deck if you are low on dust.
It doesn't matter what other people say, decks can turn out to see no play at all.
LOVE YOU KRIPP
