Introduction
Hey, this is antko with my first ever deck created. I tried to come up with some ideas for kiwiinbacon's theorycrafting contest and i thought, How can I use surrender to madness in my deck, because i personally would love to see this card viable on ladder. I thought, why not do an aggro Priest? That's why i combined murlocs and priest and here it is!
Description
This deck runs murloc package, such as murloc tidecaller, murloc warleader, coldlight seer etc. That's your main win condition: Overwhelm your opponent with cheap, strong murlocs. It also runs Bwonsamdi, the Dead, so if you will have no cards in your hand and you put some copies of minions with Spirit of the Dead, you can play it and draw many cards to play again, Apart from that, you only have Murloc Tastyfin, Northshire Cleric and Power Word: Shield as draw.
Mulligans
You always want a Murloc Tidecaller in your hand, the best 2-drop if you would get it is Rockpool Hunter. Don't mulligan hard for it, but it is your best turn one option. You generally want to win fast, so of course leave only one or two drops in your mulligans.
That's basically it for the deck. If you want to, you can leave me some suggestions down below. Thanks!
Deck sucks, shouldnt have this many upvotes
why not run shadow visions to massively improve odds of surrender on madness on 3 which is the whole point of the deck? also bwonsamdi just seems slow and bad same with his spirits, 1 cost copies of murlocs don't evens save that much mana and its a loss of tempo and prevents you from going face in a deck that desperately needs to close out the game quickly. also you had dead ringer in at one point and I thought that was genius to help draw the tastyfin which I actually consider a very powerful card in the deck given its dire need of draw in order to make use of the deck buffing gameplan
Good effort but it would lose to a LOT of decks. Druid would destroy this with their armor gain and Spreading Plague. Tempo warrior (which I think will be a Tier 2 deck come expansion) would clear your board constantly. You would have trouble with just one Voidlord since you have no way of getting past it easily, so any control-ish warlock is a loss. In other words, other classes do this board flooding better.
Maybe if you play this deck slow enough, you can lose pretty hard. But if you put many murlocs in first turns, opponents cant defend this. But yeah, it's kind of a problem. Thanks for pointing it out!
Probably could try running Shieldbreaker as a tech card. Don't know how much it would help though.
Why do you use Bwonsamdi, the Dead while you only have 3 1 mana minions?
I at least expected Spirit of the Dead in here.
Either combine those two, or just get rid of Bwonsamdi, the Dead .
Aside this, I like your idea and think there's some serious theorycrafting to do to get this at least semi-working.
Edit: This deck will struggle hard against Warrior and Druid. You either win fast or lose. So I think Bwonsamdi, the Dead is a dead card in here.
Pretty much this.
I would cut Dead Ringer (since it only has two viable draw targets) and one of the Shadow Ascendants for 2 Spirit of the Deads - this way you can fill your deck with 1-Cost minions, potentially buff them with Surrender to Madness and then draw them with Bwonsamdi, the Dead.
Bwonsamdi kinda feels slow in this deck, although it definitely has a great synergy. However, there's no feasible way to replace him with something more efficient and at the same time on par with the card draw.
I like the deck, a lot actually, and since my main class has always been Priest I'm trying this out this evening.
Thanks for advice, changed Murloc Tidecaller and dead ringer for spirits. I forgot about them when i was creating them xd
Bwonsamdi, the Dead will mostly be, as it's name says, dead in hand because it's too slow for this kind of deck..
Firstly you don't have that many 1 drops, secondly you already have enough card draw with Northshire Cleric, Murloc Tastyfin and Power Word: Shield
Waiting on a KiwiiNBacon video about it. XD - Let see if it works!
Gimme a second XD
