Do you have a list without Keleseth? I've only had problems vs zoo decks so far. I even left keleseth out since he's from FT xp which is getting removed from standard pretty soon and the deck still works fine I'd say. What this deck trully lacks is clear and I think the only matchups in which you'll almost certainly lose is zoo since you can't clear fast enough to stay alive neither build your game at all while you live. I'd strongly suggest adding some sort of clear just to be able to contest aggro heavy decks at all. So far I see only 2 big flaws in this deck:
1) sometimes your hand and draws will be too bad for you to do anything.
2) it lacks any sort of board clear which makes it impossible to survive face aggro in the first 3-4 turns of a game.
I still think it's a pretty good deck though I went in like a 23 win streak til I was about 14-15 and started being ran over by all sorts of zoo decks.
What about Cannon Barrage?
Nice deck! Thanks for sharing. I just played my first game with this and drew the nuts. Keleseth into shadowstep into raiding party on curve into greenskin and hooktusk on curve. Sure this is the absolute exception but it was a Hell of a fun
I played quiet a lot games with Hooktusk already and I can definitely say that you need more pirates, sometimes she summons only ... 0 or 1. just casual HS thing.
Removed ticket scalper, keleseth and fungalmancer for amalgam, bloodhowls and shark fins for that sweet pirate reload, tempo and synergy. Works great atm.
So far, so good for me. I pulled a gold Cpt Hooktusk to go with my gold Cpt Greenskin so I figured why not. It's actually outperforming heal paladin thus far...
So far this deck is ridiculously bad. It's a tempodeck that can't play for tempo. So far I've played two consecutive games where hooktusk was the last pirate in my deck and there wasn't anything I could do about it, making this pirate deck pointless. Oh and and big taunts/buffs walk all over this deck.
I've only had problems vs zoo decks so far. I even left keleseth out since he's from FT xp which is getting removed from standard pretty soon and the deck still works fine I'd say. Not legend material but if you can't climb to like 10 with this you're just bad asf. I also never have dropped down Hooktusk as the only pirate left in my deck lmao I've even shadowstepped her and brought back another 3 pirates.
What this deck trully lacks is clear and I think the only matchups in which you'll almost certainly lose is zoo since you can't clear fast enough to stay alive neither build your game at all while you live.
So our early game is Prince Keleseth, Fire Fly and Backstab. With no early comeback mechanics except Dread Corsair if that counts, but for that to work we either have to play Deadly Poison on a dagger or draw kingsbane, deadly poison AND Dread Corsair! a 3 card combo for a 3/3 taunt, not to mention we don't even have Preparation for our Raiding Party so we have to pay the full 3 mana for that one...
Point is, this deck auto loses to any aggro deck. It won't deal any early damage to control, nor does it have any burst damage and a 6 damage kingsbane at best....
This deck will lose to every deck ever made, including meme decks. I think it'll even have a negative winrate vs autocomplete decks... Can someone explain the point of this garbage to me? Is there some funny joke I don't understand? Except for the deck itself?
Calm down dude , he is not trying to achieve anything with this deck it's just a theorycraft... people will find the refined list with or without Prince Keleseth, dont worry.
The point of the comment was to point out the glaring weakness of the deck, most theorycrafts try to achieve something. I don't understand what this deck is trying to achieve!
And I don't understand why people can't seem to handle legitimate criticism when it's obvious that the points I brought up needs to be addressed! If people who aren't experienced at the game blow their dust on trying to craft this deck that might ruin the entire expansion for them.
So I think it'd be mean not to point out that this isn't a deck you can take to the ladder and expect to win games with. Otherwise the less experienced players might get fooled by the upvotes and think this is a good option to spend what little dust they have on!
people disliked your comment because of this:
you don't need to be an asshole to make constructive criticism. your "review" of the deck could be made without it just as fine.
Archetype thief rogue?
I have always loved Kingsbane and this will be the first deck I make on launch day. :D
I don't believe in this deck, without any sort of lifesteal, Kingsbane is a very useless card
It can deal a lot of damage because of its 3 durability.
Maybe so, but there's no way to heal the potential damage taken from using it. I truly think Leeching Poison would massively improve this deck.
Horrible idea as I doubt this deck would have any competetive chance without Keleseth.
It doesn't have any competitive chance as is, this deck will have >10% winrate against every single meta deck right now. And it'll have a negative winrate against every random deck below rank 20 on launch day.
It has no earlygame and no comeback mechanics unless you high roll Fire Fly turn 1 and a Backstab or Prince Keleseth turn 2. There's no way you ever gain board control. and for the other 90+% of games you just lose vs any deck that plays cards.
In my opinion Serrated Tooth is a must in this deck.Speeds up the cards like Ticket Scalper. I think it could coexist with Kingsbane as a one of.
