Hey everyone, I reached legend with a deck I came up with, and it worked pretty well so I thought it'd be fun to write a guide. It's a dragon/mind blast priest, and it works well against most of what is on the wild ladder right now, and the climb was pretty fast. So far I managed to climb to Legend rank 20 with it. I went ahead and wrote a guide without doing the whole "I need "x" amount of votes thing", but if you like the deck and want to help promote it by throwing an upvote its way then feel free.

General plan: Basically you play tempo dragon priest, matching any early aggression with your strong early drops and board clears. Use Mind Blast to finish them off. This deck list is extremely tight and synergistic, and I don't think anything should be cut or replaced. You run very few spells, so when you Shadow Visions you're highly likely to find what you're looking for. Usually this is a Holy Nova against aggro or a Mind Blast vs. control or combo. Anyway, on to matchups!

Edits: Was facing less cubelocks so I took out the Mass Dispel and put in Loatheb. Loatheb works wonders in just about every match up, particularly kingsbane rogue negating their vanishes. If you still face lots of cubelock I'd consider teching back in a Mass Dispel. It was however diluting the search pool for Shadow Visions.

Even Shaman: favored.

Early drops like Twilight Whelp can contest their board, as well as your strong board clears such as Duskbreaker. Your Twilight Acolytes are MVPs in this matchup, as they turn their threats like 4 mana 7/7's into 4 mana pieces of garbage, while at the same time leaving you with a sizable threat. The general strategy is to keep their board clear in order to prevent their Sea Giants or Flametongue Totems. If you get to where you have Shadowreaper Anduined, you've probably won. Keep in mind that if going second Twilight Welp plus Velen's Chosen can clear their Totem Golems.

Mulligans: Twilight Whelp Duskbreaker Wyrmrest Agent, possibly Shadowreaper Anduin if you have strong early game, and Velen's Chosen or Kabal Talonpriest if you already have Twilight Whelp going second.

Shudderwock Shaman: favored.

I didn't see many of these, but there were a few. This match up is pretty easy, as you can burst them down before their Shudderwock can go off. I believe I won against the few I played.

Mulligans: same as even shaman, as that's the bigger threat.

Odd Rogue:  favored

If you can stave off their initial assault, you'll most likely win. Play for tempo and play around threats like Fungalmancer. The issue with odd rogue is that their strategy revolves around using their weapon to clear your board, but in doing so they take a lot of damage and bring themselves into Mind Blast range. Sometimes a turn 1 Buccaneer or an unanswered Henchclan Thug will run away with the game, but it doesn't happen often.

Mulligans: Twilight Whelp and Wyrmrest Agent Duskbreaker

Kingsbane/Mill Rogue: very favored.

Play for tempo and collect your Mind Blasts as fast as possible. You do not want to mill these, so play around that. Collect your two extras with Shadow Visions. Their Kingsbane's lifesteal can't outheal your burst, and their own mill will give you the burst you need. Their strategy works against themselves.

Mulligan: Mulligan as you would against Odd Rogue, because unless you've just played the same person you don't know. If you're sure it's Mill/Kingsbane Rogue, then keep Shadowvisions instead of Duskbreaker.

Even/control/renolock: favored

Cubelock: even

I really didn't run into any aggro Warlocks, just mainly the standard control and even warlocks. Anyway, their life tap just brings them closer to burst range (the fools!), so if you play for tempo and collect your Mind Blasts you shouldn't have a problem. Cubelock was a tough matchup, but the single Mass Dispel helps a ton.

Mulligans: standard early drops, and Twilight Acolyte in order to deal with their early giants. Also, Shadow Visions so you can collect your burst.

Big Priest: unfavored

Ugh, this one is tough. If they get an early Barnes you're in for a bad time, but if not you have a chance. Play for tempo and try to collect your Mind Blasts quickly so you can burst them down. If they pull a Obsidian Statue it's probably over, but keep in mind when clearing it you can use a Twilight Acolyte to reduce its lifesteal effect. If they pull a Ragnaros ignore it and keep going face. Place them in awkward situations where they have to decide between using a board clear or summoning a big minion. This match up is far from impossible, but they won't make it easy for you either.

Edits: Mass Dispel helps negates their statue's life gain.

Mulligans: standard early game plus Shadow Visions

Odd Pally: even

This matchup can be tough, but you have a lot of strong early game and board clears to help you out. There's not much to say besides contesting their board playing it out. You're probably going to want to fish for Holy Nova with your Shadow Visions, but if their health is getting low you might want Mind Blast

Mulligans: standard early drops and Duskbreaker

Jade Druid:  unfavored without Skulking Geist, favored with it.

You're going to have a battle ahead of you when you meet these, but it is winnable. There's also not a lot of them. If you tech in Skulking Geist you usually win, but even if you don't you still have a chance. You're going to have to come at it a different way though. Druids gain too much armor to burst down, so this is the one match up where you'll probably want to fish for Velen's Chosen. Try to go tall instead of wide, and create a few high-health threats. It's imperative that you create awkard turns for their Ultimate Infestation. Believe me, they will always have it turn ten. Use your Twilight Acolytes to diminish their threats while creating yours. Play around Spreading PlagueIf you feel like it, BM them whenever possible because I really hate druids and their annoying shennanigans

Mulligans: Standard early drops, but no Duskbreaker

Secret Mage: even

This matchup can go either way. Contest their early board with yours, and diminish their threats when possible. Really it's going to come down to how well you read and play around their secrets.

Mulligans: standard anti-aggression mulligans

Combo/Exodia Mage: favored

There's a few of these floating around, and I found I did very well against them. Play for tempo, and face is the place. Use Scaleworm to help clear their Doomsayers. Even if they freeze your board, you can still break their Ice Block with Mind Blast. With your Drakonid Operative fish for an Ice Block or some mutual card draw such as Research Project to make them Mill their own combo pieces.

Mulligans: standard tempo drops plus Shadow Visions

Well that's about it for now everyone. If you have any questions ask away and thanks for reading.
