This deck is my version of the Lightwarden + Windfury + Healing Rain "OTK" combo. Other combinations are possible depending on what you draw, and I think therein lies its strength. People are saying that it still works with a little substitution, so don't feel constrained by my choices and my reasons behind them.
Guide
Keep any set pieces you find in mulligan, because ideally you want to have some combination of the above in hand by around your third group of turns, and have taken enough friendly damage so that Healing Rain boosts Lightwarden's attack up to at least 15 with Windfury (≥7 damage healed), or 25 without (12 healed), plus some other combination of 5 damage (Lava Burst, or Injured Blademaster + Frost Shock/Ice Breaker, etc.).
It's possible to have lethal by turns 3/4 if there's at least 7 friendly damage on board: T3, Lightwarden, Windfury; T4, Healing Rain for 30 face damage. Alternatively, you can do the same amount of damage without Windfury by using both Lightwardens.
There are several ways to assemble the set pieces; the biggest dangers are: bad draw luck, enemy OTKs, and taunts. I've tried to mitigate some of these by including tutors, card draw, silence, and poison. I don't pretend to have played the deck enough yet to have fully optimized it though, so I look forward to reading your ideas and constructive criticism in comments. Thanks for looking!
Edit: I replaced Darkscale Healers with Stubborn Gastropods for more reliable taunt removal–thanks to kurumilife for the suggestion!
Edit2: Beakered Lightning was meant to combo with wide board heals, but since I took those out they were more of a liability in terms of overload and accidentally wiping Lightwardens; replaced with Novice Engineers since secondary tutoring is less important than getting the primary combo pieces ASAP. Thanks for the continued interest, upvotes, and discussion, everyone!
yeah i meant exodia not otk =) it's brawl specific your turn has two turns
Yeah I know but still funny lol
opp board wipe, and then the next turn I win
I am just going to say this... this is a horrible deck, a lot of card don't fit the deck . For example: you don't play any elemental but runs a reaction. Why not loot hoarder? Or inventor instead? and icebreaker and frostshot is just ... bad.
But you deck idea is genius, healing rain + lightwarden is a combo a lot of people will miss.
For anyone look forward playing this deck, I recommend changing out a lot of card. And put in some good one like doomsayer or zillaxe
questionable card that doesn't fit:
Doom hammer/Darkscale Healer (Run Fungal Enchanter instead but that is also a questionable card maybe just run another card draw ) / Ice Breaker / Elementary Reaction / Frost Shock / Beakered Lightning
Replacement
Doomsayer / Loot Hoarder / Stubborn Gastropod / Bloodmage Thalnos / Novice Engineer / Acolyte of Pain / Zilliax / Stormforged Axe
Ice Breaker is a non-overload weapon that allows you to choose how much damage you take to face/apply to your opponents face before the combo. Frost Shock + Ice Breaker is an unlikely combo, I agree, but potentially dealing with a taunt is a secondary benefit, the primary being that both can deal cheap, non-overload damage selectively.
Sub Novice Engineer if you like; I'm aware that there's no synergy with Elementary Reaction–it's just card draw. You don't need to build up early board for an OTK, still, nice idea for a little extra damage. Another user pointed out that you could flood the board with minions, but that's not really the aim of this deck. :|
... lightwarden is one mana... doomsayer is two. plus I really don't think overload matters in this deck
Good catch on the card costs; you're right. And I considered Fungal Enchanter over Darkscale Healer; can't recall why I chose the latter, now. Maybe I'll switch that out–thanks for the ideas!
Edit: I remember now (on why not this and other cheaper minions): it's because you want Witchwood Piper to draw Injured Blademaster next if you have both Lightwardens.
I am testing some idea with my friend, we had a better winrate with gastropod instead of blademaster. ( 5 wins in 10 games compares to 7 ) blademaster is interesting but too slow. and we just removed gungal/ darkscale , healing rain is enough.
I think there are two way to build this deck. one with more burst and removal, one with more draw and silence effect ( owl ).
This deck is so much fun. ( Man that priest deck is boring )
Seriously horrible deck. Check out my version https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1195983-cheesy-ttk
First try with 31 damage on my final turn with each of my light wardens
Felt good stomping an Armorsmith Warrior
It worked for me. It took me a few tries partially because I am a half tard and the other part was me trying to figure out how much damage to take in order to ensure lethal, drawing the necessary cards and trying to figure out what to do while waiting for everything to come together.
Very nice deck dude )
Thank you!
turn 3 mana tide, turn 4 piper, turn 5 lightwarden lightwarden beakered lightning healing rain, turn 6 windfury windfury on both lightwardens. Damage (13x2)+(13x2)+3=55 damage. Insanely lucky draw.
Believe it or not. Combo Priest tried to kill me fast but missplayed with Lightspawn. Left with 7 Health.
Then Turn 5 Lightwarden 2x and one Healing Rain.
Turn 6 another Healing Rain + Beakered Lightning + Windfury on one of them.
(49*2)+49=147 Dmg Turn 6 :D
Windfury makes it insane.
I just did this turn 7/8: 2 Lightwardens on board, both fully charged (25 attack), both with Windfury; 100 damage!
Used tidal surge instead of ice breaker, because who the hell has kept that card?
Oh yeah that makes sense. I copied it and then was like 'wtf am I supposed to do with these things"
People who dont disenchant unless nerfed
