You’ve probably never seen (let alone played) a 15/15 Stonetusk Boar with Windfury, but this Shaman deck makes it possible! Buff your board up early with tons of Battlecry minions, then play your Stonetusk Boar followed by Shudderwock to deliver the killing blow.
The Black Knight
Please read.
hello I am new to hearthstone and Im interested in making a shudderwock deck and this looks perfect! But I dont know how i should use Unstable Evolution ? :)
It is good on high cost minions with bad stats, like Corridor Creeper, Bonemare, and Fungalmancer. Creeper is the best combo because you can play it for 0 mana and then with 1 evolve it turns into an 8 mana minion.
Congrats on a unique deck idea. I will say it is more resilient in the early game than you'd think. It can be tricky to last long enough for your buffs to stack up. You may need to count the damage pluses as you play them and be sure Windspeaker has been played. On your last turn you must have no other minions on the board before you play Stonetusk Boar + Shudderwock or the buffs may go to your other onboard minions. Well, actually, if you have one onboard minion you can skip playing the boar and just buff it. In any case, coming up a few damage short sucks.
Seems tough vs. warlock (infinite taunt), warrior or druid (big armor), mage (secrets and armor), etc. It is lots of fun when it works. Might need a Gluttonous Ooze for weapons decks, especially the warlock or mage special weapons.
I dusted the creepers back in the days when the card was nerfed (can you believe it was a 5/5? What an amazing card back in the days).
Anyway, since I dont want to craft them again, I replaced them with 1 healing rain and 1 Gluttonous Ooze.
Works like a charm! I went 5-0 so far and played the boar just a a single time. You mostly already stomp your enemies just with the buffed (taunt)minions on your board.
Great deck!
this looks amazing :) like for real
i wanted to try shudderwook deck which is not that boring combo deck but something new and fresh :)
whats the thing with the corpsetakers? i dont have them and would like to not craft them ;) any suggestions what i can take instead?
thank you
Normally you play Corpsetakers in a deck with Al'Akir the Windlord, so that if you draw them first they get divine shield, taunt, and windfury from that one minion. Some add Zilliax for insurance, supplying lifesteal to the Corpsetakers and taunt and divine shield. In a deck like even shaman a windfuried Corpsetaker with Flametongue Totem or Dire Wolf Alpha or Earthen Might can produce a lot of damage, sometimes with healing.
well thank you but i did a typo :) corpsetakers job in generally is clear :) but why the corridorcreepers in that list? Can you pls explain those as well?
thx
The Corridor Creepers can usually be played cheap. They are a great target for Unstable Evolution or Thrall, Deathseer in the Midrange Shaman list. It's not unusual to play them for near zero cost and convert them immediately into a random 8 mana minion (or better). In the list above, their low cost also make them good targets for Defender of Argus or Fungalmancer, which can sometimes be hard to play with a minion on each side.
No, no, no! You guys need to understand that this is a very peculiar deck. That is, it only works for me (well, and for its creator, ofc) but alas for some reason it won't work for you. Don't you dare use it on ladder, 'specially multiple times, least people begin to expect it and take measures against it.
It's mine, mine, mine... my preciousssss! XD
what can we do vs aggro?
oh boy. I've wanted to get a charging Shudderwock combo in standard for awhile. Wish i thought of this! While there are some gain charge battlecries in wild, I didn't think standard would ever see such a deck while Shudderwock was around. Ty for showing us this!
The Black Knight is clever but I don't understand the Corridor Creepers. Are they just for Unstable Evolution synergy?
Black Knight is clever? It's an obvious choice that is on every fucking Shudderwock deck.
Damn what a nice deck! Rank 4 EZ
