RASTAKAHAN RUMBLE UPDATE!!

Have you ever wished to climb with a fun deck? Actually I m at rank 4 and have an high winrate (I could do better but I have no time for taking seriously Hearthstone).

DO NOT REPLACE DECK OF WONDERS! NEVER!

Not because it's essential, but because Yogg itself will curse your RNG if you ll do.

CARD CHOICE EXPLANATION/ CARD REPLACEMENT

Wow, didn't expect to reach so fast 10 upvotes, thank you for the support!

Arcane Artificer: Very flexible card that can provide a lot of Armor against aggro or simply trigger Elemental Synergy when needed against other control

Fire Fly: Fantastic One Drop that help building early presence against aggro and give us token to trigger other elementals effects

Black Cat: 3 mana 3 3 draw a card js already good, than it provides also Spell Damage. It s a better Azure Drake/Thalnos

Tar Creeper: 3 mana 3 5 taunt slay every minion in an aggro deck. Your hero power will do the rest

Ironbeak Owl: Since the list can t run Polymorph, at least one silence is neede (has also synergy with jaina)

Gluttonous Ooze: Very good, if not the best, weapon removal. DON T RUN HARRISON, the deck has already a lot of card draw and you need that armor vs aggro

Voodoo Doll: our single target removal, has obvious ynergy with ping and Icy Touch as well

Zilliax: MVP of the set now, provides early game survivability

Arcane Tyrant: Good card that helps building a board after an Aoe, also Elemental Synergy

Bonfire Elemental: 5 mana 5 5 plus card draw and lifesteal in late game. Sounds good

Dragon's Fury: One of the few Aoes. You have to play them carefully otherwise you ll end them too soon. A tactic could be to stall the board with Giggling Inventor and then play this or Flamestrike the turn after

Deck of Wonders: more an ideological card than an useful one. It gives you hope when everything seems lost, or simply some goods tempo swings. Or a Cataclysm when you are winning (happens sometimes XD). Beside that, it s useful if you have no spell left in your deck but a dragon fury in hand, or if you want to play Arcane Artificer  without killing him or wasting an Aoe if you really need that armor

Azalina Soulthief: Our Tech card against Combo decks (mostly druids). Or you can also use it if you have dead cards in hand like Dragon Fury or Baku to get huge value

Blazecaller: Basically a better Firelands Portal, it casts holy fire if you have already played DK, can help applying pressure against control as well as destroying treats of aggro decks

Baron Geddon: MVP against Odd Paladin, it s a better Reno Jackson with Jaina

Flamestrike: Best in game AoE just after Psychic Scream and Twisting Nether. Synergy with artificier and Dragon Fury

Baku the Mooneater and Frost Lich Jaina are pretty self explanatory

Alexstrasza: One of the best control tools ever created, it provides both health and burn so its extremly versatile

Dragoncaller Alanna: It s our finisher against Combo andother control decks. Be sure they have already wasted all of their Aoes and you will win for sure.

 REPLACEMENTS

Since the deck allows only Odd-cost cards, you have a really restricted poll of cards to choose between

Dragoncaller Alanna: Sorry, no replacements for her. You won t win any game against control and combo otherwise. If you really want to play the deck you can try with Ysera or Onyxia or another Astromancer

Baron Geddon: You can swap him with an Astromancer or with a Servant of Kalimos

Alexstrasza can be swapped for Astromancer or if you really struggle against combo and control Azalina Soulthief

Deck of Wonders can be swapped for... jk can t be replaced

Voodoo Doll can be instead swapped with Mind Control Tech, Coldwraith (i ve tried it, that s not too bad) or another Silence

DECK SHOWCASE VIDEO ( thanks Khristophesaurus an kiwi  ^_^)

FULL GUIDE

MULLIGAN GUIDE

Against Aggro and Midrange: Keep Fire Fly, Arcane Artificer, Tar Creeper and finally Dragon's Fury

Against Control: Keep Frost Lich Jaina, Black Cat, Bonfire Elemental but the last only if you already have drawn either Fire Fly or Tar Creeper

Against Combo: Keep Azalina Soulthief, Black Cat, Deck of Wonders (but only if you feel lucky XD).

Special Mulligan: Keep Ironbeak Owl against Hunters and Gluttonous Ooze against Paladin, Rogues, Mages and Hunters. Keep instead Azalina Spultief against Druids ( and Shamans but only if for any reason Shudderwock Shaman wil become tier 1 again)

GENERAL STRATEGY

Against Mage:  Actually there are 2 types of Mages: Aggro and Control (and Exodia but I won t treat it because the stategy is the same for every combo deck and they are like the 0,001% of all Mages)

Against Secret Mage (aka Face Mage): Your plan is survive till he runs out of resources. Hard mulligan for Fire Fly on turn 1 so that he can't play his Arcanologist on turn 2 without killing her because of your upgraded Hero Power. Play around his secrets and if you manage to survive till turn 9, you play your DK and[deck]Deck ID or Code[/deck]Card Name is gg.

Against Control Big Spell Mage: This is a very geedy deck, full of removals and big treats. Try to force him playing his AoEs in a non efficient way, don t flood ever the board and try to pressure him as much as you can. Basically your Fireblast Rank 2 must turn into a Steady Shot.

Against Priest: Actually the only existing Priest Deck is Big Priest. In tge Mulligan phase, try searching for Voodoo Doll and Ironbeak Owl. They don't have lot of removals, just 2/3 Psychic Screams and DK. Build a strong board, hit them hard in the face and you should win. An MVP here, if used wisdomly, is Dragoncaller Alanna. NEVER PLAY HER IF HE HASN'T ALREADY ENDED HIS REMOVALS.

Against Rogues: There are 4 Rogues deck atm: Quest, Maly,Odd and Deathrattle

Against Quest and Maly: The plan is going face. That's all. Save your Ooze for Necrium Blade, retard his Malygos and play around Vanish

Against Deathrattle: The mu is identical to Deathrattle Hunter's one. Hard mulligan for Silence and Ooze, remove Necrium Blade when he has ni Deathrattle minions and you should be ok. A key card in this match is Dragon's Fury, he can slay every Devilsaur cheated, works better with a turn 3 Black Cat that can attack the Eggs.

Against Odd: It's a normal Control vs Aggro. Play the Ooze on turn 3, before he plays Hench so that you slow his attack, gain armor and build a board. Avoid damage as much as you can, otherwise you ll be overwhelmed

Against WarlockThere are 3 Warlocks Decks out of there: Zoo, Even and Control

Against Zoo: Ez aggro vs control, your upgraded Hero Power is the core for the win. You can also play The Coin on turn 1 to ping a Flame Imp.

Against Even: Hard Mulligan for Voodoo Doll and Giggling Inventor, they are full of big treats like turn 3 Mountain Giant or 4 mana 7/7. You have to keep the control of the board, play your silence tech against [card]Twilight Drake[/crad].

Against Control: This is another ez match up, play your elementals, play around Defile and finish them off with Alexstrasza and powerful plays likeAzalina Soulthief when you are out of steam but also [card[Dragoncaller Alanna[/card] to finish him off

NOTE: They run double Demonic Project and double Sacrificial Pact, so if you ever gets Lord Jaraxxus DO NOT PLAY HIM

Against Paladin: There are 2 types of Paladin: OTK and Odd Paladin

Against OTK: It's always the same story, apply pressure before they can play the combo. Always destroy their Horsemen and play around Equality + Consecration/ Wild Pyromancer. They don't have any single target removal, so try having on the board just 2 big minions, they will have trouble removing them

Against Odd: I think that's more a Token Deck than an aggro one. Your MVP here is Dragon's Fury, place it after cards like Corridor Creeper and Raid Leader

Against Hunter: They have two archetypes:  Deathrattle and Midrange Secret

Against Deathrattle: Key cards here are Ironbeak Owl, Dragon's Fury, Black Cat and Gluttonous Ooze. If they manage to summon an Egg on turn 2/3 always respond with your Silence Tech, if you have it, or with Black Cat. Why? On turn 4 they will play Stalker and Play Dead, if you also have Dragon's Fury (chances improved by Black Cat's Battlecry), you can attack the Egg and play it.

Against Midrange Secret: Try avoid more damage you can, hard mulligan for Ooze, your Ping now allows you to solo Huffer, so hope they get it XD. Save Silence for Secretkeeper, play DK and win

Against Warrior: The only existing archetype is Odd Warrior (LMAO Fatigue and Mecha C'Thun)

Don't worry about his growing armor, it doesn't provide any value and despite they could reach 70 HP, soon or later they will play Reckless Flurry. Try to not drawing extra cards with your Bonfire Elementals, if it is not turn 5 and you have already played an elemental last turn. Most of the matches will end in fatigue in fact. For the rest is a simple Control vs Control, but you just have more value.

Against Shaman: Only existing archetypes are Shudderwock and Even

Against Shudderwock: Again, Control vs Combo, the easiest way to win is forcing him to play both his Volacanos and finish the game with a massive Dragoncaller Alanna

Against Even: Simple Control vs Aggro, you are the favourite, save your Voodoo Dolls for their Corpsetaker, play your Aoes wisdomly and you will win 90% of time.

Against Druid: Last class, 3 pseudo archetypes, they are similar for the 90% to each other

Against Maly/Togwaggle: They don't have removals beside Swipe and Naturalize, so force your opponent wasting them, don't flood the board or they will play Spreading Plague and apply pressure till they die

Against Big Taunt Druid: Play arounds his removals (see below) and when they play Master Broakheart answer with your Silence on Hadronox. Blazecallers and Voodoo Doll will help you controlling the board while pushing damage face.

Against Token: Same removals, same tactic, just save your Aoes for big boards. It's a very hard match up, since Wispering Woods[/card!] into [card]Soul of the Forest Combo is nearly uncounyerable, that s why you have to keep the control of the board till the very end

 NERF UPDATE:

Removed 2× Giggling Inventors and a Chief Inspector for another Ironbeak OwlZilliax and Arcane Tyrant (I may consider adding a second one later). Added also Azalina Soulthief instead of Astromancer
