This is a completely free hunter deck for anyone who wants to climb ladder quickly without spending any dust/coins. It is a face hunter deck - In other words, it looks to quickly take down its opponent with powerful cheap minions and spells, usually preferring to hit "face" instead of attacking minions. While the deck doesn't teach too much about board control, it's good for newer players in the sense that there isn't much decision making.

STRATEGY-

Opening hand:

You want to try to get a 1-cost, 2-cost, and 3-cost card in your opening hand, as it will let you have cards to play efficiently on those turns. If you are going second, you can try to get Houndmaster in your opening hand as well.

1-cost mulligans: Stonetusk Boar, Arcane Shot, Tracking

2-cost mulligans: River Crocolisk, Acidic Swamp Ooze, Bloodfen Raptor

3-cost mulligans: Shattered Sun Cleric, Razorfen Hunter, Animal Companion

Early game:

You want to be very aggressive with this deck. Look to play minions and immediately hit face, weaving in hero powers when there are no better choices. Multi-Shot can bring incredible value if used correctly. Don't trade unless it is absolutely nessesary - for example to take out a Shadow Ascendant.

Mid game:

You should be looking to finish your opponent around this time. You can get incredibly fast damage with cards like Wolfrider and Kill Command. Tundra Rhino provides a stickier minion that can help other beasts impact the board.

Late game:

Hero power every turn to get damage off. You're likely emptying your hand every turn, so just look to get as much damage done to the opposing hero as possible each turn.

Upgrades:

If you're not completely f2p and you have some other cards, I'd suggest to try and fit in the following cards:

Explosive Trap- This card helps to control the board against swarmy decks, and as a bonus, does 2 damage to face!

Freezing Trap- This card can be ridiculously good against strong minions that your opponent sends your way.

Snake Trap- Creating 3 1/1 beasts (snakes) for 2 mana is pretty good. It makes it harder to clear your beasts without AOE, and has great synergy with Leokk, the hunter animal companion that gives +1 attack to your other minions.

Savannah Highmane- Insane value! A slightly under average stat line is made up for easily by its powerful deathrattle. It also works very well with beast synergies. Compare and contrast with Boulderfist Ogre, and you can see how powerful Savannah Highmane is.

Dwarven Sharpshooter- A strong body on turn one combined with a useful ability for grabbing control of the board is great for an aggressive deck. Just a solid card!

Toxic Reinforcements- Once quite possibly the most hated card around for its insane burst damage in the midgame when the quest tended to complete, this card has fallen out of favor due to its relative slowness and inability to impact the board.

Phase Stalker- River Crocolisk in base stats + a bonus ability that face hunter loves! You're going to be pressing the hero power button pretty often, and running Phase Stalker makes it even more worth it - compare to Ancient Mysteries.

Unleash the Hounds- A neat comeback card, this excels at surprising your opponents out of nowhere when they thought they had the game under control. Combining this with Leokk from Animal Companion or Timber Wolf lets you kill your opponents when they least expect it.

Stormhammer- Combined with dragons like Rotnest Drake, Faerie Dragon, and Primordial Explorer, this weapon often stays on the field for much longer than the typical Eaglehorn Bow, and is also more proactive in its method of retaining durability.

Blazing Battlemage- An overall good card that sees play in most decks that can take advantage of the early game. Also sees play in other aggresive/tempo decks, and is an overall safe craft.

Cards that you may wish to swap out for the above upgrades:

Multi-Shot

Murloc Tidehunter

Stonetusk Boar

Shattered Sun Cleric

Razorfen Hunter

Tundra Rhino
