Ok so I appreciate all the support I have been getting on other guides in the past and I am changing my guide format 1 last time. I am going to keep the full audio guide in the guide but if you all want written ones I want there to be a raise in this decks popularity on the site before I do that. I just want this cause I don't wanna spend 1.5 to 2 hours on a deck people don't care about.

10 Likes: Simple Overview

This is a deck that revolves around the deathrattles of the Devilsaur Egg, Spider bomb, and the mechanical whelp. There are many ways to activate these abilities in the deck and due to the lack of defensive options if you don't pop off I put in some Grizzlies to keep you alive in aggro matchups potentially. This deck is a slower deck that relies on board setup and plays well into control decks because it either gives you time to build a board, or gives you a board if they wipe you due to your deathrattles. With some defensive techs this deck fairs pretty well or at least moderately well against the aggro matchups too. The idea of this deck is pretty solid and has a lot of synergy within itself, but is still a combo deck which can leave you frustrated if you don't draw essential combos to the combo, like ways to activate deathrattles. This deck's late game is either mechanical whelps or DK Rexxar depending on the matchup and both are strong, but Rexxar is a more sustainable power play and closes out games in many matchups.

20 Likes: Mulligans (1-3 are the staples and 4 is several options that are also viable and can be kept as well especially into certain matchups)

1)Devilsaur Egg This is the bread and butter of the deck, without it you will not be able to get any good combos off to actually build a board. Don't worry about it getting silenced it is better to have it and play it on turn 3 than not have it at all.

2)Terrorscale Stalker This is the ideal way of activating the deathrattle of the Devilsaur Egg because it gives you another creature on top of the one you spawn. It is a MASSIVE power play and very few decks have a way to reliably deal with a 5/5, a 3/3, and a 0/3 deathrattle (helps against boardwipes) on turn 4.

3)Loot Hoarder This card gives you a play on turn 2 which is a weak turn for this deck. It allows you to draw a card, potentially trade into another minion and control the board, and if needed can have its deathrattle triggered on turn 3 by the Terrorscale Stalker in to draw an extra card and play the Terrorscale with its effect.

4)

  • Candleshot, Flanking Strike, MAYBE Witchwood Grizzly: These are good against aggro decks and serve as a way to help control the board from a early to midgame stage so that way you can survive if don't get your combos off in the early stages and need to stall for time.
  • Tracking, Deathstalker Rexxar : These are good into control matchups because tracking helps you cycle through cards and not having an early game presence because you aren't a fast deck and don't need to defend against early pressure. Rexxar is your main lategame card and is key to winning the control matchups in the lategame with the Build-a-Beast workshop providing a lot of value.
  • Houndmaster Shaw : This guy is good into all matchups and is an honorable mention basically. He is a solid minion that can trade into minions in aggro (and his ability helps control the board) and is also big enough to bait out removal that you can exploit later with beasts or deathrattles.

Druid

Into this matchup you wanna use the Mossy Horror aggressively in response to a spreading plague as the major power play of this deck because after that it will kill your deathrattle cards and leave you with a pretty powerful board. This deck does get a lot of armor but has very few ways to deal with the deathrattles other than killing them and giving you value. This matchup is in your favor and you don't need to rush anything you can play slow and controlled in order to win the game methodically. If they get a ton of taunts out you have Rexxar to help you close out the game with higher value minions after you build beasts.

Hunter

This is a hard one for you because this deck doesn't do well against the faster matchups. The Spell hunter gives you a lot of value itself with some setup and in that matchup its really who can set up their boards first which makes this matchup pretty fair. This class matchup would be pretty even if hybrid and face hunter didn't exist, and it is these faster decks that take advantage of the slow setup and lack of defensive options of this deck other than the Grizzly. The reason why spell hunter doesn't have this problem as much is the secrets help set up the midgame but are also defensive options themselves, which makes it hard to pull of a win against it even if you can set up as deathrattle hunter. Difficult but once you learn to play around secrets this matchup will become only slightly less than 50% probably.

Mage

This deck loses to tempo because it sets up minions early and burns you down. You can get Rexxar which can help you not get bursted do to the armor and potential lifesteal minions but it is still rough. As for the Big Mage, their removal of your board usually leaves you with minions left over with means that often times them wiping your board with their only tools in their deck prior to Jaina the Frost Queen can actually HURT them and give you more damage. Big is also slow and you can play against it similarly to the druid matchup, just slow and steady and hero powers because they don't gain as much armor as druid usually. Tempo you need Shaw or the spider bomb to clear the board before the damage becomes too much.

Paladin

This is a hard matchup because you have no response to their wide board. I won one against it but that is because the opponent didn't get a Level Up until late and I was able to Rexxar his board before he got of the Level Up. Hard matchup but with a Grizzly and Cube combo you can definitely win this matchup it is just not in your favor really. Obviously you have tools to win, like big minions to deal with his small ones after a while and a big taunt minion and a great Legendary Hero, but overall this deck loses to Odd Pally.

Priest

This matchup is slow and methodical as well. You have to hope you set up your deathrattles before he gets his Mindblast or Topsy Turvy combo which will win him the game. Psychic Scream wrecks you here because your minions have delayed extra value, but are weak stand alone, but if he Screams them away they don't get their deathrattle effect but are still removed from the board. I would say this is a matchup to maybe look out for, but due to the fact that it is a control deck it is probably not that bad and will give you setup time too.

Rogue

I am surprised that this matchup was in the favor of this deck due to the fact that historically this deck does bad against aggro. However, due to some new rogue decks being tried out and some removal tactics in this deck, it is possible to believe that this deck can beat Odd Rogue, especially if you can Flanking Strike in response to the turn 3 play like Vicious Fledgling. Play safe into this matchup and control the board to the best of your ability until the Rogue Runs out of cards. Also, since this deck is face you can often times get a lot of value out of your deathrattle minions if they are ignored and you can trigger them with cards in your hand. I am actually surprised that this matchup is favored for this deck but due this deck having at least some removal to slow down their turn 3 push I can see it being at least somewhat in your favor.

Warlock

This matchup is bad for you because of Zoolock. It is just too fast for you to handle and the new cards added to this deck from the Boomsday Expansion do NOT help your matchup. Even is a little bit better because it is control, but they have some POWERFUL value plays like Twilight Drakes, Mountain Giants, and 7/7 taunts all for 4 mana usually. Hard to keep up with but not impossible and their board wipes generally leave you with minions of your own which is nice.
