Hello there!

Elemental Mage happened to be my first deck after I started playing Hearthstone not long ago. When Book of Specters joined the game with the Witchwood expansion, it made a minion-based Mage deck possible. Recently Kibler introduced this deck to some who might had not noticed the potencial it has, and after months of testing and changing, I can say this could be pretty close to the best form of the deck. Although the two Stoneshaper, Stonehill and Tar Creeper might seem too much of defense, you must make sure (especially in a Zoo warlock and not long ago the Odd Paladin meta) that you survive until (optimally) the 9th turn when you can play the transform and basically win the game. The elementals don't only synergize with each other, but with your Ruby Spellstone that can be really useful a lots of times, and reducing usually about 10 mana with your Leyline Manipulators is just icing on the cake. Pyros is a continuous threat that the opponent will have to watch out through the game, just like the Giants that can be played even on turn 3 if you have the coin and a Book on turn 2. Baron Geddon is a perfect boardclear (if you have Frost Lich Jaina, even lifesteal) that is a lifesaver in the absence of Flamestrike or Blizzard. Voodoo Doll is an amazing card in the deck - not only you can destroy any minion for 5 mana instantly, but it gives you a Water Elemental too if you had managed to transform before. Servant of Kalimos could easily be replaced with a card of your wish, but I think he synergizes well with the two Leylines and can also get you an other Pyros or Geddon.

Unfortunately I couldn't experiment with Luna's Pocket Galaxy yet that seems like a game winner in theory a lots of times. Obviously there is a chance of discarding it with BoS, but it's very low, also it's not your only winning condition. If you have tried it, share you opinion in the comments, I'm curious if it works or not.

Your tactics should be to survive until you can play Frost Lich Jaina that grants you lifesteal and infinite elementals, this can be achieved by playing taunts and trading any time it's possible. High priority keeps are Fire Fly, any card with Taunt, Pyros and Glacial Shard, not only do they make your early game easier, but if you have a Spellstone in hand... that's a lotta damage!;)

Budget ideas:

Pyros is really not needed, you can replace it with Shimmering Tempest for example, but it's totally your choice - get creative with the empty place!

Baron Geddon's lifesteal can help a lot, but if you're low on dust and don't want to spend it on him, it's ok: Primordial Drake can be an ok replacement. The battlecry 'deal 2 damage to all minions' is a needed boardclear and the 4/8 taunt body isn't bad either.

The Giants can be very threathening, especially now that they're Elemental. One Giant is enough if you don't wanna spend 400 on an other one, maybe you can replace it with a Twighlight Drake, a Steam Surger or another big guy - Ozruk!

I hope you get the idea and feel the love for this deck that I feel. Go ahead, try and ask if you feel so, I'm open for ideas and critics, this is my first ever deck to share.
