Preamble

Hello,

This is my first post, so please go easy on me.

The deck I am sharing is one that I have found to be quite dominant on ladder, between rank 15-10. Upon hitting rank 10, the deck has remained consistent (83% winrate).

If the deck gets 10+ upvotes, I'll write a more detailed guide.

Dragon Cuboid^2 - About the deck

I usually only play control decks. But I would describe this as a tempo deck, which controls the board by maintaining constant pressure and threat. On curve, it is relentless. Moreover, I think its strength is in how it takes advantage of the weaknesses of the current meta. It is very strong against many of the ultimate aggro decks out there, and it also hits hard enough to beat most control decks before they can establish themselves.

Strategy

Looking at the list, the strategy is probably fairly obvious. You want to obtain the quest as quick as possible, playing many low cost minions. Maintain control of the board. Keep duskbreakers for vital clearance, and to also hatch the eggs. Don't be afraid to play Amara early to maintain pressure, with Deranged and Obsidian to follow.

The whole point is tempo. Maintain board pressure, clear or trade where needed early on but also keep hitting face. This should be priority by mid to late game. Don't let the opponent breathe.

There is a lot of synergy in this deck, from top to bottom. You can cube the eggs, or, toward end game, you can cube Deranged Doctor or Obsidian Statue. The deck is responsive enough that you can also adapt, depending on your opponent. For the most part, I've beat all my opinions before end game matures.

Rank 15-10

Update:

Rank 10+

Update:

The winrate for this deck has balanced out a bit at rank 9. It currently sits at 71% after a few bad games. It may have been unlucky - one game I could have probably won. Or perhaps the proceeding run was luck? Thinking about it, I feel it is a viable deck. It is certainly not a sleeper tier 1 or anything elite; but if you find yourself in a bottle neck at rank 15-10, coming across a lot of new Boom decks, then give it try. I'll probably keep playing it for a bit longer.

Cheers,

Eemphy
