A new and much improved version of my star aligner druid from day1 boomsday.
EDIT : Swapped in loatheb for floop again for testing
If you want to see the old version -> https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1163933-aviana-kun-the-star-boomsday-wild-legend
Floop can be 2nd ancient brewmaster, as of now I'm still testing around with floop but I do believe brewmaster may be better in some cases.
Still considering whether naturalize could replace some cards in the deck.
Is this deck better than malygos or togglewaggle druid? Very much yes. Much easier to pull off combo than malygos and doesn't require combo. Togglewaggle can be bad when opponent's board is full and most of the time it's better to just kill your opponent with star aligner rather than swapping decks.
Card replacement : Floop -> 2nd Ancient Brewmaster
(Maybe) Poison seed -> Naturalize
Cards that could be good but I'm not sure what to replace for
Naturalize
Loatheb (did very well in my old version of the deck, and most of the time was the win condition)
-1 Loatheb +1 witchwood (4 mana draw brann), its better, right?
Why Ancient BrewMaster instead of floop?
In order to play floop as star aligner, you need 1 board space to play floop on. If you had ancient brewmaster, you still only need 1 board space as all you're doing is bouncing back star aligner that is already on board to play it again.
Floop, as far as I could really test, doesn't have that many upside to brewmaster other than secret mage match up where aviana might die then have floop as backup aviana, but in that matchup you don't really win by doing the combo anyways.
Another case is when one of the combo piece is dirty ratted on board. Floop can't do much to save you there but if the combo piece isn't killed off, you can use brewmaster to bounce it back to hand.
Long story short, extra 1/1 stat for same mana and doesn't change combo either way
Floop however also have another advantage: if you play Loatheb, it can help you doing double Loatheb (helpful if you are still missing Brann), or Loatheb again the turn after (with Brann usually still alive), which gives you your opponent two turn of no spellls castable, and that's enough against any amount of armor to win the game. Sure, you could use Brewmaster for something similar, but then you are missing board attack damage, and that's the whole point of Loatheb plan.
Barkskin on Brann as backup?
