lol @ "before they went infinite"
Oh really, so they did "not quite go infinite" yet, is that what you are saying? Tell you what: wake us up when a deck, any deck, goes infinite. I am not holding my breath, tho.
Ever see an odd paladin try to get around annoy-o-trons with Sonya on the board? Eventually he gave up but man was it fun. Think Swedish is right on the prep though, feels unnecessary. Thinking about swapping them out for betrayals or vanishes (kills magnetic buffs) since nobody is playing around either at the moment.
Very fun deck to play!!
Im tryng a version with -1 pogo-hopper and +1 vanish. It sinergise well with your minions, punish greedy decks and slows down f*$%# zoo
Can anyone tell me how you use Myra's in this deck? Or at all? I'm struggling to see its use.
Draw your entire deck so that you can play Lab Recruiter + Pogo-Hopper, ideally alongside Valeera the Hollow hero power, Shadowstep, and Sonya Shadowdancer, so that your entire deck is lots of Pogo-Hoppers. In this deck you want to get rid of your deck as quickly as possible to try to ensure that you only ever draw Pogo-Hoppers, because then you essentially have a super OP jade deck. Unstable Element essentially guarantees that you can consistently draw hoppers instead of whatever other cards are left in your deck.
Edit: you can alternatively/additionally do the same with Fal'dorei Strider to ensure that you get a load of free spiders with most of your draws. Without unstable element, the consistency with which you would draw a load of spiders in a row goes down a lot.
If you fill your deck with striders won't you simply draw them all next turn and then be left with nothing after a flamestrike?
Yes you would. In most situations this would not be a good play, which is why I say 'additionally' - drawing 1 to 3 spiders and then a hopper is pretty great, because a) you don't overextend and play all your spider value at once, and b) you don't burn your entire deck so fatigue is not an immediate danger. Sometimes, if you don't have much of a choice (or if they have used all their removal and/or don't have many cards in hand), immediately filling your board with spiders just wins the game on the spot, so this all-in strategy will sometimes be useful too.
Yeah I been running a very different pogo deck, but tempo pogo is the way to play pogo I been playing something that does more traditional aggressive stuff, and has pogo, lich king and the dk hero for rogue as a plan for game where your opponents clear your stuff and you have to go long. It works decently, but it may be less good if mecha'thun is any good. I have seen a fair few mecha'thun warlocks and druids, and both have won against me. Maybe this verion fairs better but I would need a lot to make it.
In response to the idea you have to go infinite, you don't you use pogo to finish some games with cheap 5/5 and bigger minions that you can play several of in the late game in one turn. why would you go infinite when you can put down minion that win the game. And that is what pogo hopper decks can do. I think people assumed that pogo was only for infinite and discounted the deck on the notion that infinite has never been good, except that it was, when jade druid did it, and they killed you before they went infinite too.
I have run the deck around 10-15 games today and it is good. I feel lika Prep is almost always a dead card though. Sure, it's good, or okay, with the legendary spell but one should almost always be enough?
I swapped one Prep for Zola the Gorgon.
