Why Skulking Geist is needed in this deck? Why not Witchwood Piper for example?
It's used as a counter for other decks (eg Mecha'thun OTK)
Bad deck. Ok if you have mage quests and mess around in casual.
He can't. I guess he's paid now to showcase bad stuff they release...if u want to see him playin with a good deck look for his actual plays climbing ladder. He is a good player, but he doesn't do any good decks to players anymore, only memes and low rate expensive decks...
Too bad.
This deck is just fun to play, u know?
Im glad that exodia mage is back :D
Can someone tell toast to stop making bad decks.
and maybe if we use Frost Lich Jaina we have some sustain to maybe outlive it
maybe if we use Aluneth it would go better in my opinion
Yeh this deck is cak. Wasted quite a bit of dust to craft and it's just steamrolled in the current meta. It's way too slow to challenge meaningfull and is nothing more than a fun exodia if you manage to pull of the combo.
I may have been unlucky, but I drew Tony almost everytime before Luna. As there's no advice for this deck, you have to mulligan for Luna and Luna only.
My main problems around this deck are:
- Too often drawing Tony first is basically a loss as doing the combo on turn 9 relies on you have enough armor to survive it.
- If you play the Tony and Baleful combo, then draw Tony before Luna again. You lose.
- Against mill rouge, if you lose any one of the combo pieces, you lose.
- Agro decks can out agro your ability to freeze them.
- Too often I would draw both Tony and Luna before turn 7, meaning the combo is over.
I don't recommend this deck at all. Incredible frustrating to play. I went 3 wins - 10 losses at rank 18.
this deck has a problem.
once you draw antonidas before play LPG, it's hard to recover even though you have baleful banker
because antonidas + banker cost 9 mana and unable to freeze enemy this turn.
too much depends on luck.
this deck is sucks dont try that.
That moment when:
I am way too unlucky for this deck, but its fun to play anyway.
4-2 so far with all 4 wins taking all the way to last card in deck and one of the losses I screwed up and overdrew Archamge lol. Staves off dmg pretty good. I'd like to get the pieces together a little sooner though, looking forward to it. :)
This deck is soooooo fun :D Here's a quick video showcasing the full exodia combo, I hope you all enjoy!
I tried speeding the draw with novice engineers and it's just too inconsistent. I then tried to incorporate the idea into a big spells mage deck, getting same results.
This seems like a traditional freeze mage IMO. How about replacing Primordial Glyph with Novice Engineer? I think the faster we go through the deck with the combo pieces while freezing the enemy minions might make this faster.
I had to look at this deck a few times to understand how it works since there's no explanation - I got it now.
Basically you're looking to play LPG while Tony is still in the deck. It's the only one that's required to be in the deck when LPG goes off. If Tony is in your hand while you have LPG, you have to play it, then baleful, then LPG next turn. Either you have the combo in hand and the opponent is too stupid to remove Tony (or can't), or you have to wait until you draw the new Tony and all necessary cards for the combo.
The beautiful part of Research project? Since it's a spell, if you're in a pinch and ONLY need your reduced cost tony to win the game (say you have both apprentices in play), then research project is free. You won't endanger the combo by drawing cards, potentially giving you more of a chance to get the cards you need when you need them.
A well rounded deck.
Why Skulking Geist do not work vs Academic Espionage ? Have you noticed that same thing?
Geist looks for original cost
I like the deck, but on the first match I played with it, Luna's Pocket Galaxy was the last card in the deck LOL and Baleful Banker couldn't do anything about it :'(
