Just a very rough list since the rest of the cards aren’t out yet. Boomship is there for the Ysera, Baku, Matriarchs and possibly something big off of Stonehills.
Changes:
- 2x Whirlwind
- 1x Super Collider
+ 2x Dyn-O-Matic
+1 Azalina
Depending on the meta the Dyn-O-Matics may or may not be changed back to Whirlwinds.
Besides the same thing that odd warrior does now? Not really much I suppose....you have Ysera, dire horns, stone hill pulls, Dr boom, azalina, and baku. Not to mention a large late game swing with boomship.
I'm not a fan of Direhorn Hatchling in this deck, i think Bronze Gatekeeper is better against aggro. it is 2/8 taunt with gain 2 armor on each damage on t4 with rover. Also it can save our ass lategame with Nullifier or some other big mech.
Also what is the point of Azalina here? It weakens our Boomship...
The deck is meant to be able to counter aggro but also combat control decks. The issue is not armor gain, we are getting 4 per turn and the rover can be put on any of the other mechs in the deck. Cw is literally made to combat aggro so I wanted to ensure we could beat control too. Direhorns are a solid midgame taunt and a solid late game taunt, not to mention id be happy pulling double hatchling or double direhorn with the boomship. Azalina is so you don't auto lose to shudderwock shaman or some other random otk deck.
But you don't have the right battlecries to counter Shudderwock with Azalina Soulthief
Does the new patch not make it so the shudderwock you steal from them casts the same battlecries they played? Am I missing something or did I read it wrong?
What he means is that you don't have any battlecries to combo with your stolen Shudderwocks. The only thing they will do is discover taunt minions. To counter Shudderwock effectively you would need some odd-cost battlecry that either gains you armor, or damages your opponent enough to kill them in 3 Shudderwock hits (since Azalina costs 7, you will have 3 mana left over to play 3 1-cost Shudderwocks).
If you don't either gain enough HP to outlast the upcoming 10 Shudderwocks turn, or deal enough damage to kill them before the Shaman gets their 10 Shudderwock turn, then you will still lose.
I main warrior so I’m praying I can get a competitive deck this time around!
Looking good. 9k for me to craft. depends what I get from BD packs as well.
If I end up with a lot of good Warrior cards I will craft something for sure, if i end up with lots of Druid instead though I will probs go that way as it looks very powerful.
I am mostly hoping to get Rogue cards though and will be crafting what I can for Rogue first and foremost as they look the most fun so far.
I must say an Elemental Mage is looking great with that new Legendary spell they got to reduce minions in deck to 1 mana. I'm sure a good deck will come off the back of that card, the new minions and existing minion-based mage decks. I've not played Mage since Old Gods properly though so I don't know the archetypes too well. Just off facing them sometimes on ladder.
