Play as a more aggressive OTK Mage, don't be afraid to drop Open the Waygate early if you don't have Archmage Antonidas or one of your Sorcerer's Apprentice. 

MULLIGAN: 

Mulligan for Babbling Book or Primordial Glyph, restart if you do not have either of these cards in hand. 

STRATEGY:

•Push for lots of minions against Ragnaros and try to ignore face damage against him, or else he will transform into Ahune and give you the hurt. 

•Drop Ice Block AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Ragnaros has double Fireball and Lava Burst and will use it to burn your face. Don't rely on Ice Barrier to save you as he will ignore attacking with his minions to do face damage with his spells. 

•Try to remove his Flamewalker quickly or else he will burn you even faster. It is worth the Polymorph to remove it.

•His only bigger minions are Blazecaller, Fire Elemental, and Pyros. Save your freezes for these if you can, or hope you get lucky with Cabalist's Tome.
