How To Play:
Step 1: Mulligan for Divine Favor, Prince Keleseth and self-damage cards such as Crystallizer or Light's Justice, and take some damage... Meanwhile, either go face, or try to make some smart value trades. Note that Keleseth makes your Paragon of Lights automatically activated, which also buff the Lightwardens hiding behind them.
Step 2: Heal up, dump your entire hand (hopefully at a discount), and use Divine Favor to refill it. Find Val'anyr ASAP!
Step 3: Search for Saronite Chain Gang or Faceless Manipulator, and use them to go infinite with Val'anyr. As long as the buff doesn't land on Faceless Manipulator, your opponent will now need multiple weapon removals, silences and/or non-killing board removals in order to feel safe again.
Step 4:
Changelog
07/15/18:
- -1 Rummaging Kobold, +1 Divine Favor
- -1 Bittertide Hydra, +1 Light's Justice
- -1 Blackguard, +1 Faceless Manipulator
08/04/18:
- -2 Dire Mole, +2 Crystallizer (Extra self-damage sources)
- -1 Void Ripper, +1 Zola the Gorgon
- -1 Tar Creeper, +1 Blessing of Might
- -1 Spikeridged Steed, +1 Blessing of Kings
Fun Things To Try:
- Playing Ebon Dragonsmith with The Coin to have a turn 4 Val'anyr (inconsistent/unlikely scenario)
- 2x Faceless Manipulators (Works OK as long as you don't have both in hand)
- Chillclade Champion / Leeroy Jenkins?
Yeah I tried a version with The Glass Knight, and I had some good moments but mostly bad ones. In comparison to the rest of the deck, he costs too much to dump, so it makes Divine Favor less useful. But if you manage to draw him in the late game and land a Val'anyr buff on him, it's a pretty good target for Faceless Manipulator lol. Have fun!
Thanks, fun deck! I also put in The Glass Knight since there is so much heal synergie!
Hope you have fun with it! In my experiences, it often loses to heavy control decks, but works well against aggro and combo decks
