Main strategy of the deck is to try to get the maximum value of the cards like Sunkeeper Tarim and Lynessa Sunsorrow.

So the main gameplan is to stay alive until you draw the combo pieces: Uther of the Ebon Blade Zola the Gorgon and Ancient Brewmaster, and then OTK your opponent with the 2/2 knights. You can use Baleful Banker instead of the bounce, but its just too slow i think.
Consecration is good to be kept against agro, Doomsayer pretty good against agro as well. Doomsayer also good before you make the OTK.
Wild Pyromancer is just insane against fast decks, and token druid, so use it wisely!

Aganinst agro decks you can bounce your Sunkeeper Tarim or Lynessa Sunsorrow back, because you don't need to set up for the combo, you just need to survive. You can get Doomsayer easily from the Call to Arms, and no its not a problem, because you have deathrattle minions that are not a big problem when they die. The problem is when you get both :D
Greetings ;)
Thanks for the upvotes,

Good Luck!
I really enjoy control pala with exodia potential so here’s my humble input - I’d replace the ooze for a second Stonehill def. The defender gives absolutely amazing value - it eats a weapon charge, it’s good against opponent w/o weapon and could provide game winning minion like applebaum for heal, Lich king for value, abomination for just another board clear vs odd pala/zoo lock or just a Righteous Protector to create more solid Tarim board, a 2nd Tarim, Tirion etc etc.
Ever since paladin DK was introduced I’m really enthusiastic about exodia paladin in both standard and wild. In standard I tried the following change to the exodia package - replaced 1 Ancient Brewmaster for 1 Blackwald Pixie. This really changes the style of playing once you get your DK online b/c you aim to get a single horseman into your hand and stick another to the board while having pixie in your hand. The 2nd Stonehill really helps in this task. Most of the opponents don’t expect to OTK them with a single horseman on the board and they could leave it by mistake. And there are a lot of support sticking the horseman - you can steed it, potion of heroism, buff with Tarim or hide it behind Lynessa or any other taunt or just play it right after equality clear. I find it easier to summon all four with pixie rather bouncing 3 back to your hand and the reasons are: 1) you’re way too obvious once you start bouncing 2) You need all 3 combo minion - Zola and pandarens, while with pixie you need 1 minion less and it could be any of the 2 remaining (pandaren or Zola) 3) It’s quicker because 4) sometimes you can get really unlucky getting a 3rd unique horseman and if you fail several turns your opponent will eventually overwhelm you, while with pixie it’s 25% of getting the same in your hand.
Thanks for your input, the base deck is immensely satisfying to play but i definitely prefer your version with the Blackwald Pixie and a second Stonehill Defender, it makes the combo less painful and frustrating, the Ooze might be good at higher ranks if there's many weapons that removing on your turn could be advantageous, like the Druid Twig. For context, i played 10 games with the posted deck and won 2, but i'd say, without fuck ups on my end, because i didn't know Uther of the Ebon Blade's Hero Power was RNG and not on a "sequence", and some missplays, like using Zola on Sunkeeper Tarim in a control match-up i would have gotten 50% wr easily, since i lost a couple of games with 3 Horseman in hand thinking the 4th one was 100% guaranteed to be the missing one, instead i got a dupe, and after that i learned that you need to put all 3 down before using the hero power. I played a 5 more games successfully, but lost a couple because, like you said, having 2 horseman in hand means 50% chance of a dupe and you pretty much need to draw your entire deck at times to get all 3 pieces of the combo, while with a pixie, you need either Zola the Gorgon or a bounce and the pixie to win.
What do you think of Blackwald Pixie in this deck?
This deck is great!! I think it's viable because the current meta leans toward control (no Patches, etc), and your opponents always mulligan for Odd Pally. Nice Job! Small sample size - currently 14-7 ranks 5-4 NA server. Very fun. Best Control Paladin in a long time. Not sure I'll hit legend with it, but the wins are very satisfying. Thanks!!
I assume you hero power then bounce the horseman in your hand, do so 3 times and then play the 3 horsemen from hand plus heropower for win.
(edit)
The combo revolves around using The Four Horsemen hero power and returning the horsemen to your hand with either Zola the Gorgon or Ancient Brewmaster. There's a bit of RNG to it, because you'd need to hero power a different horseman every time. But once you get 3 unique horsemen in your hand, you can play them all at once and then hero power again. Since the mechanic for The Four Horsemen works by summoning a unique horseman on the board, it will always summon the 4th unique horseman once the other 3 are already on the board.
Have you got any games you can share of this deck? It's rather fun to pilot.
Is Call to Arms really needed for this?
You just forgot about C2A again lol
For a Lynessa deck, it doesn't have many buffs. She can become a 5/13 with divine shield and taunt at best, and then you have to use both spikeridged steeds.
But the divine shields also draws you cards, which helps you to get to your core cards. The decks design is absolutely genius, thanks for the post.
Lynessa is not the main win condition, she is helping a lot against aggro decks with taunt, and against controls with extra card draws
Seems neat, but dont the Doomsayer mess up the Call to Arms?
It's a bad idea in this deck with so many battlecries that you won't get any value for. Especially since you pay 5 mana to mess up your deck.
I disagree. Doomsayer is great. For example f your Loot Hoarders die you get cards and it helps to stall the game. If you play against aggro they need to clear him and against control it doesnt matter anyway and is just great to filter your deck.
I play this version
Replacements for Thalnos?
acolyte of pain
In the place of thalnos i would place the blackwald pixie
