Hello, I'm Rdu, full time Hearthstone player for G2 Esports and Twitch Broadcaster at twitch.tv/rdulive
This is the Malygos druid that I finished top50 with and my teammate Neirea used to get #1 NA and finish on #2, and also another friend of mine, Thomm, finished top10 EU with.
General Mulligan
I always keep Wild Growth , Twig , and Nourish. I keep Aracane Tyrant if I have Nourish.
I always would even keep 2 Wild Growths if offered, 2 Nourishes only in control match-ups. Would keep 2 Arcane Tyrants with Nourish in most match-ups(probably odd paladin is the only one where I wouldn't)
More Specific Mulligan
Card by card, from the cards I didn't mention yet, I would:
- Keep Innervate only on the coin with Wild Growth+Nourish+Ultimate Infestation
- Never keep Moonfire
- Keep Spellstone against Tempo Mage and against Rogue going first(so that it lines up against their Hench-Clan Thug) ; Also good against aggro hunter and odd rogue if you know what you're playing against
- Keep Naturalize only against Warlocks to deal with Mountain Giant
- Never keep Ferocious Howl
- Never keep Branching Paths (maybe a fringe case is against aggro hunter if you already have good hand)
- Keep Swipe against Paladin and against Rogue with either some ramp or if you're on the coin to deal with Hench-Clan Thug
- Never keep Faceless Manipulator
- Keep Starfall only against Paladin
- Keep Spreading plague only against Paladin
- Keep Malfurion if you already have ramp against Rogue, Warlock, Priest, Hunter, Warrior, Mage
- Keep Lich King in control match-ups if you have Wild Growth+Nourish or even Nourish alone on the coin in some match-ups
- Keep Alexstrasza only with an already godlike hand like Wild Growth+Nourish+UI
- Never Keep Malygos
- Keep Ultimate Infestation with Wild Growth+Nourish in non-aggro match-ups and even only with one ramp card in mirror and against Warlock, or only with Nourish against Rogue
Card Replacements
If you don't have Lich King or Alexstrasza, you can replace them with a 2nd faceless.
If you want to spice things up, you can play Tyrantus instead of Lich King which I think is going to make match-ups against other druids, Shudderwock Shamans and Warlocks better at the expense of losing some percentages against aggro decks
Other than that, I don't think you can change any card if you want the full experience of this wonderful deck since it's built in such a way to not have horrible match-ups and always be able to win games against everything
'How do you win when they ooze twig?'
The question I get asked the most when I stream this deck is how do I win when they ooze my twig
Well, a lot of the time you don't draw your Twig since it's a legendary so the way you mostly win is by out-ramping your opponent and then curving cards such as LichKing/Alexstrasza and/or Ultimate Infestation and overpowering your opponent on board, sometimes even pushing damage with cards such as Spreading Plague or Malfurion the Pestilent which actually makes your hero power so much better!
Also keep in mind Malygos+2Moonfires is 12 damage and you can Alex them and also put them lower with cards such as DK or Swipe
Tl;dr: You win a lot of games because you play druid, Twig is just a bonus to punish people who don't play weapon hate or who tempo ooze early game not knowing what Druid you're playing
Conclusions
I like this deck a lot because it doesn't have any horrible match-up other than Control Mage and even there you can win with WG+Nourish into big threats
I also love the playstyle of this deck, it reminds me of Freeze Mage due to the fact that you need to make sure you survive a certain ammount of turns until you both gather the cards to kill your opponent and also get to attack 5 times with the Twig. The deck also has an insane ammount of defensive cards with both 1/5 Taunts and tons of Armor Gain

Thank you for reading and I hope this guide is helpful :)
addition :
Well, I'm just an arena player, trying to play this deck and bam 7-0.
I'm glad being retarded I guess :)))

When I see this deck in Legend I smile. Most any control deck that can sustain and has answers to the board will beat this deck. Especially since Ooze can be saved just for the twig.
gj dude, you ranked up from 10 to 8 without even playing the combo once. you could just take an angry chicken instead of malygos and would have the same winrate
This deck is trash.
Its difficult deck, true. Not for everyone.
i have 75% wr on this deck
I'm pretty sure this is the kind of deck that can kick you from 1 to 25 if you could lose rank beyond the latest multiple of 5.
40 games, 0% winrate (3 different people running it at different ranks)
EDIT: 44 games. 1-43....... finally, I had to meet a weakass even shaman that got terrible draws to win.
Um there are 1-3 viable decks per class that are played throughout the ladder. I don't know what game you're playing
Note he said for ladder. Climbing Ladder. I feel at legend this deck is not going to get you anywhere. I've beaten it a handful of times already at legend top 1k and top 500.
So... the idea of this deck is to do a 20-mana turn with Malygos, right? isn't that a very poor win condition?
EDIT: not a great deck, it has 0% winrate after 20 games. Before you can ramp the oponent has full control of the board, win condition and has you on lockdown even if their decks can't do it!
EDIT 2: Also this should run Ultimate Infestation at 1 or even 0, since it's a dead card in hand 9 times out of 10 given how you can't use it if you have more than 4 cards in hand (not counting UI itself), and most of the time your hand is at 8-10 cards.
He addresses this a bit in the area that says 'How do you win when they ooze twig". To paraphrase, the combo is there for a finisher, but it is not always needed as druid is a strong class. You can easily just shove your opponent out of the game by playing big things and using Malygos + 2x Moonfire as a finisher as 12 burst damage still is pretty good.
The strength of this deck isn't the combo, it's that Druid and ramp in particular is really strong and lets you play a greedier deck.
Yeah I dismissed that as an elaborated joke, since you lack the tools to win without the Malygos + 2 moonfires, and you can't survive that long unless you burn half your deck with draw+armor cards
Great deck, not for everyone though, quite hard to play and even harder to master. I am like 10:3 from rank 8 to 6 now and it works like a charm.
Good and funny deck. I started to play today and 10W-3L, I changed -1 Starfall + 1 Wrath to clear early treats.
The best part of this deck is there is many win condition, it doesn't only depends Twig actually.
Thanks to share this deck.
Very cool deck. will try it. Just one question- u said the following:
"Well, a lot of the time you don't draw your Twig since it's a legendary"
Care to elaborate? what do u mean by u dont draw it that often cause its legendary? is there any hard evidence that legendary cards are harder to draw?
I'm pretty sure he just means you can only have one of them in your deck. It's just "half as likely" to draw something you only have one of in your deck.
I don't think there's any conspiracy theory going on here haha.
I agree. I always draw baku :D
I got (un)lucky enough to open Prince Taldaram. Is he worth it in this deck at all? I know Ferocious Howl is nice for cycling, and there are few good targets for Taldaram. I just think I've seen some versions of this deck that do indeed run him, and I wonder if people have any opinions about him.
Debatable. It means coughing up the Ferocious Howl which is both good for survivability and drawing through your deck quicker.
Does this deck have the conditions of victory if the opponent breaks the Twig of the World Tree ahead of time?
Very many decks now have Gluttonous Ooze and etc.
There is literally a section of discussing how to win when your twig is oozed. Learn to read please.
