Blessings to you, reader. Combos, big minion recruiting and ultimate ramp have arrived to the meta and they are unstoppable once they get going. Control warrior is unable to stop them at this moment. We may not be able to stop them with control decks but we can disrupt them. They draw to their combo fast but perhaps we can slay them even faster. And that's what we do with Disruptor Priest, while having tons of fun!
I used this deck to legend this season and had tons of fun while efficiently climbing.
PROOF
Every game was done on my stream, so if you're interested in watching the games with this deck, you can find them here - www.twitch.tv/urkoth/videos/all
General Game Plan
You want to get on the board as soon as possible. Create pressure and generate tempo while drawing cards which will aid us in the value game. Your main win conditions are:
1. OTK them with divine spirit and inner fire
2. Punch them with big minions that you created via divine spirit and inner fire a few times until they are crushed to pieces.
Your alternate win conditions are:
1. Let Lyra stay on board and keep generating value with her, primarily with a radiant or two if possible.
2. Battle for the board until you gain control over them and they run out of resources(this will usually work against paladins).
Mulligan Guide
-ALWAYS keep Clerics
-Keep a Radiant Elemental
-I like keeping a Power Word Shield in my starting hand, no matter what
-It's fine to keep a Shadow Ascendant
-Wild Pyros are a MUST against paladins, throw away everything except Clerics to find them
-Feel free to keep a Blademaster if you can keep a Circle of Healing next to it
Extra Tips
-Play the Cleric on turn 1 unless you have a power word shield, then you can play it on turn 2 with it against druids.
-Play for board as soon as possible, so go for tempo. You won't be able to recover if you're too slow, your only board clears are the wild pyros but don't rely on them too much.
-You can be a bit greedy against the odd paladins when you want to clear with a Pyromancer, so waiting a turn or two before clearing with it is usually correct.
I invite you to follow my stream twitch.tv/urkoth and my twitter twitter.com/Titan_HS2 so we can spend some AWESOME time together. Feel free to ask questions, I'm pretty sure the deck will work amazingly well for you in this meta, as much as it did for me! -Titan
I replaced a [Mass Dispel] with [Chameleos] and I'm 5-1 with the deck so far! (Rank 15-14) . It's not really a budget option and I think the other mass dispel would do fine, it's a great, fun deck. I never thought I would be playing a deck running TWO [Powered Steambot] lmao. It actually works though! 18 damage three card combo is pretty solid and it's not an easy card to kill in one turn!
That's a lot of positive energy, Flamezombie, I like it! Keep it up !
Happy to hear that, Vimana, fun and victories all the way!
Even though I'm starting out at the bottom of the rocks in rank, but I'm pulling ahead and having fun. Took a 4 yr dry from game and still crafting missed cards. Still learning this deck more I play, but if Lyra goes down your screwed. Should add as copy for summons when this happens, looking for ideas.
Feel free to experiment if you feel the need, I tried to be as straight to the point in the guide as I could, AEulogy.
Thanks for the kind words, KingCookie!
Solid looking deck this, goes big on the silence and plays the core Lyra combo package, no doubt real satisfying for those drakes and recruit mechanics aswell! Plus combo can just be really satisfying once uve practiced the play style and stop misplacing :)
Appreciate this is way more expensive, but for anyone who really likes going off with Lyra and is interested in something a bit different I knocked this thing together and find it loads of fun, feels quite competitive with the current feel in the meta aswell, currently enjoying it in rank 4
Hello guys!
It has been a long time since I played combo priest and even longer since I played injured blademaster - that felt good as hell.
I had a nice matchup vs quest warrior. A lot of Lyra action and tons of spells. I had a good time with this deck and I think it works on ladder very well.
I hope you can enjoy this video and have a nice day everyone :)
Cool video, Kadakk!
so far I find the new kingsbane the best anti-control, the problem is that against aggro decks is quite complicated to win
Wait what? Cubelock isn't SKILL?
kappa :P
Tried it....not difficult to understand how it works but not that easy to master as well. I am starting to get the grip of it and yes it is fun to pilot.
I wonder how it works against heavy defense decks like druid and its insane shield buff.
Druids are easy for us Lycaon, have fun!
Probably gonna start using this. My local meta moved from anti-control to straight control, so time to counter that shit :P
No mercy Urungulu, the "control" decks nowadays are dumber than face shaman back in the days.
Great to hear that, whodatninja, keep rocking!
This deck is great if you manage to keep Lyra on board, I just got rekt from this deck with my Shaman....I couldn't remove his Steambot in front of his Lyra and Elemental and he just kept spamming low cost spells and finally got his combo with inner fire....and I was literally biting my keyboard.
You have my upvote sir.
Steamrolling Steambot! \m/
What you think about changing Lyra the Sunshard for Lady in White ??
If you reaaaally want to play Lady in White, my suggestion is to play her instead of Tar Creeper, blejd. DON'T change Lyra, she's amazing in this deck.
