Everything you want in one hunter deck :D
Much thanks to kiwiinbacon for making that video:
And to Tommy Wave for that one:
Card changes:
+Deathstalker Rexxar -Wolfrider
-2x Jeweled Macaw +2x Dire Mole
because of too many fire flies on ladder
-Dire Wolf Alpha +Snake Trap
not too often good opportunities to use wolf, trap gives much more
Still thinking of changing a Candleshot because of my unlucky draw, I get often a hand full of weapons.
Card replacement:
if you're a budget player;
-Deathstalker Rexxar +Wolfrider
It is also ok to put some tech cards if needed like:
+1 Ironbeak Owl or
+1 Spellbreaker
+1 Harrison Jones or
+1 Acidic Swamp Ooze
I do not recommend to play Gluttonous Ooze because armor isn't that good over one mana you pay more than Acidic Swamp Ooze.
+1 Hunter's Mark
It may seems crazy but Starving Buzzard was pretty ok in the first version of deck but end of the ends second Tundra Rhino worked out better.
Mulligan guide:
Mulligan is pretty simple to be honest.
It is just about keeping always at least one 1 mana cards and thinking what you need.
For example Dire Wolf Alpha, Scavenging Hyena are bad when you're missing a one drop but could be good without it if you have Unleash the Hounds
Animal Companion, Eaglehorn Bow are always good to keep.
Crackling Razormaw is ok to keep only if you have a one drop but sometimes it is ok to play it on empty board.
Unleash the Hounds is awesome with Scavenging Hyena, especially against token decks like paladin.
Any four drops are ok only if you've got 1, 2 and 3 drop.
If you have decided to play Deathstalker Rexxar, it is ok to keep against control decks.
Spending 800 dust on Witch's Cauldron:
Nearly no one plays that card and I know that is maybe not the best dust spent for budget players but if someone like to play something budget and fun it is really good.
Soon I will upload a deck based on the same card for Warrior and Priest, but not that budget as this one.
Hope you'll enjoy it!
It's been hard to say if it's more aggro or midrange.
This deck is like a double edged blade, I had 60% winrate in 15 matches but usually when I lost, I totally thought the deck was garbage. The thing about this deck is if you can manage to keep the tempo up with firstly beast spamming, and then with cauldron you will be sucsessful. I can clearly say mulligan for each class is very different. I got used to the deck after 15 matches so play a bit then you'll definetly enjoy this!
This deck sucks. 0% win rate in freaking none ranked games. How does this even work?
Odd pally says hello LOL.
Cool deck. Been having success with it.
Thank you for such an interesting deck! The Cauldron package worked out well in the couple games I played, check them out;
(Games start at 3:25)
Snake Trap was a standout for me, was wondering if you've tinkered with including a second one in the list.
Thanks again for the list & mulligan guide, really appreciate it!
Totally understand what you mean about the mulligan, glad you enjoyed the video!
Struggles against warlocks.
Sorry but i hate Tracking, so i got two open spaces.... any ideas ?
Tracking is one of the best and most misunderstood hunter cards currently in the game; a lot of people choose to view it as "discard two cards", but with a deck like this, you'll almost never (read: never) make it to fatigue; if the game makes it that long, you've lost.
Instead, view it this way: Look at the next 3 cards in your deck and choose the most powerful one for your current situation. Even if out of those 3 cards all of them are "trash", then you just did something amazing; you've cleared your deck of cards you don't need and thinned your deck out, making it more likely your future draws will be even better.
Tracking is vital in a deck such as this one.
winrate?
Snake Trap is a must in this kind of a deck. Also, spellstone is the best way of generating tempo for hunter right now cuz playing cheap beasts on curve (like mole+adapt+whatever) does literaly nothing against druid or warlock right now. Playing spellstone is better even in aggro matchups.
+ stitched tracker is a must for finding cauldrons. SO spellstone + snaketrap build is also better this way, because you also may include less minions thus finding your cauldrons with trackers easier.
TL;DR: too lazy build.
The idea is fun though and i like cauldrons a lot
which cards did you replace
random shaman spells...sounds like id rather put ice picks in my eyes.. take this to rank 5 and tell us your story
I would add the fact that if you have it, houndmaster shaw is a really good fit for the deck.
Candleshot, but without Hunter's Mark and no silence?
candleshot is a great card even without hunter's mark
timber wolf makes hunting mastiff more or less of a viable card. also works well with unleash the hounds.
i understand what u mean tho, timber wolf and wolfrider arent great. i think they're included to support the cauldron.
I'd throw in dire mole tbh
INB4 someone asks for a replacement for Witch's Cauldron
A witch's hat 🔺
