Machamp created this decklist and he manage to hit top 1 legend with it in standard.
In video you can find gameplay and explenation of every move that im doing during the game so you can learn how to play it.
If you like this deck upvote so more people will have a chance to see it
Mulligan:
vs Aggro keep: Dire Mole, Tracking, Crackling Razormaw (especially after Dire Mole to trigger battlecry) Eaglehorn Bow, Wandering Monster
vs Control keep: Lesser Emerald Spellstone, Tracking,Deathstalker Rexxar
against decks that create huge board in a short time like odd pala or even shaman its important to keep: Explosive Trap and Unleash the Hounds to get rid of their board easily
against warlocks keep: Deadly Shot to kill Mountain Giant if its zoo cry that you are unlucky because no one is using this deck ;)
Easiest game plan: Hit face and play on curve
Best Curve Ever: Dire Mole -> Crackling Razormaw -> Animal Companion or Bearshark -> Houndmaster -> SMORc your opponent to death -> repeat until you hit legend
Card Replacement or interesting twists:
Freezing Trap -> Rat Trap (I dont like this card because its easy to play around it but it might be OP with enough luck when you will catch your opponent off guard)
Freezing Trap -> Snake Trap (It should be better in most of the situations because you always want additional minions and its easy to trigger)
Flanking Strike -> Spellbreaker (Silence taunt minions to go face / face is the place)
Houndmaster or Flanking Strike -> Leeroy Jenkins (More face dmg)
Cards that might be inlcuded:
Bittertide Hydra (its hard to find a place for it in this deck but its OP against control decks)
Savannah Highmane (just like hydra, its OP vs control but there is not enough space for it. you can use it as a budget replacement instead of Deathstalker Rexxar)
Pro Tips:
-Try to play around board clears (do not overcommit if you dont have to)
-Use your hero power a lot because you are dealing dmg and you dont have to waste a card
Cards explanation:
Tracking - allows to find important cards for a specific match-up
Crackling Razormaw - beast with a good stats and its OP if played on curve with a battlecry
Secrets - easy to trigger and can buff Eaglehorn Bow
Explosive Trap - additional 2 points of dmg to face and its a great counter vs aggro
Freezing Trap - great counter vs control decks and big minions like Mountain Giant
Wandering Monster - basically a 3-drop that costs 2 mana (pray to RNGesus for a good 3-drop)
Animal Companion - a great companion of every hunter
Bearshark - great stats for an aggro deck and your opponent can't kill it with spells
Deadly Shot - Counter against: Control Decks, Big minions and taunt is cheat
Eaglehorn Bow - usually used to clear opponent minions you can also just go face
Kill Command - yyyy... face?
Unleash the Hounds - counter against odd paladin and even shaman
Flanking Strike - just like Imp-losion but without RNG
Houndmaster - 4 mana 4/3 and 2/2 with charge if you have a beast = OP
Lesser Emerald Spellstone - win condition ( 5 mana 12/12)
Deathstalker Rexxar - infinite value, great counter vs. control and super useful battlecry against aggro + you get 5 armor

Interesting deck, very close to Nick Chipper's hybrid hunter
I’m sorry, do you think midrange is agro. What planet do you live on where midrange is considered a degenerate agro deck?
forgive me god for i have sinned !!!! WTF
Well, this explains why there's a plague of Hunters hanging around rank 18-19 now...
1st game vs warlock, I followed the instructions and I kept deadly shot+ control suggested card.. it was zoolock hahahahaha
can I cry that I'm unlucky now? xD
https://prnt.sc/jrki39
does Rat Trap work though? Whenever my opponent plays it I just play around it easily. I don't think I've ever triggered one.
Well there are alot of rogues out there atm, so with miracle and odd-pally you often get the damning 6/6 rat, yet i prefer the ol' reliable cards that will make a warlock wheep when i make their voidy a 11 mana unplayable. With that being said, it can be nice to ad a weapon destructor to this deck, when facing alot of weapons (mage/hunter/war/lock almost all use them) like Harrison or just an ooze, it's not a spellhunter so it's viable.
they play around it easily but u pressure them to use only 2 cards a turn the whole game with ur 2mana spell , isn't it great ? :)
who's hibrid?
its a combination of two different deck types. Aggro + Midrange or Midrange + Control ;)
I really love the idea of a strong agressive hunter that comes at the low low cost of 2800 dust. that's quite impressive. Congratulations to Machamp to make it all the way top #1 with this, I'm sure it'll inspire a ton a people to climb the ladder with hunter once again!
I made a video showcasing the deck in action, and I was quite impressed by the results, I hope you all enjoy.
I'd drop the Freezing Traps and replace them with 1 Ironbeak Owl and 1 Snake Trap.
Freezing Trap is too easy to play around and only really helps if it catches a big minion. Hopefully you're ending the game before turn 8 with this deck.
I also find Rat Trap to be pretty underrated. It's great for punishing aggro decks and control decks. If your opponent has coin its almost guaranteed to trigger by turn 5 or 6.
I would prob swap it out for 1x Unleash the Hounds.
I wouldn't advise that. Keep in mind this deck made it to #1 legend for a reason. Typically yes, freezing trap would seem like a slow card to play in an aggro deck. However there is a reason this card is viable which is in part due to the emergence of Wandering Monster being a card that your opponent should assume you could be playing when you play a secret.
So I'm definitely not a Legend player but Hunter is my main class. Here's my reasoning for being against Freeze Trap:
The three secrets in this deck are all activated by either attacking face (Monster + Explosive) or attacking in general (Freeze).
If you're playing against Hunter and there are secrets on the board you're going to automatically avoid using your biggest minion first. It will either be freeze trapped OR intercepted by Wandering Monster. Only an idiot would attack with a big minion first. If it's explosive trap then your weak minions would die anyway whether you attack with them first or not since Explosion hits all enemies. In 100% of the scenarios your opponent will be sending his weak minion first to trigger either Wandering Monster OR Freeze Trap. Then they will send their big minion to your face. If your freeze trap is triggered by a small minion...that's a loss for you and no big deal for your opponent. Little bit of tempo loss but they will still be able to play that minion. In fact it will be healed if it was damaged.
Meanwhile you spent two mana to return a crappy 1-3 mana minion to your opponents hand. Maybe you saved yourself 1-3 damage in the process. However if you used Snake Trap now you've just added 3 beasts to the board. That's 3 damage, you can buff them with Crackling Razormaw/Houndmaster and you can use them to activate Kill Command. Snake Trap is fantastic "board clear bait" too. Get Warlocks to cast that Hellfire spell so you can play your Lesser Spellstone with confidence next turn.
if you play Venomstrike Trap you get a beefy poison minion which you can then use to kill that troublesome taunt minion or scary big minion threatening you. Both Venomstrike Trap and Snake Trap will trigger if Wandering Monster triggers too which is fantastic synergy.
If you played Rat Trap you can sometimes outright scare your opponent into not playing 3 cards in a turn which is helpful in mid/late game OR if they do you get a 6/6 minion which is an enormous swing in your favor.
Freeze Trap, in my experience, played around with ease and then the trapped minion is just replayed the next turn resulting in the same problem you had before.
"In 100% of the scenarios your opponent will be sending his weak minion first to trigger either Wandering Monster OR Freeze Trap." Not sure what level you are playing at but If this is what your opponents do, then yeah remove freeze trap. Maybe your opponents haven't played Hearthstone in a really long time and don't know that Freeze Trap isn't typically relevant in this meta anymore? They should typically be avoiding an unfavorable trade with their weak minion into a high chance of Wandering Monster unless they don't have other minions on board and want to trigger explosive trap early. However a good player usually won't use explosive trap on turn two just to kill that first minion on board, so they know the hunter really wants to play Wandering Monster on turn 2. An unfavorable trade into Wandering Monster represents a tempo loss as it kills your minion and puts a three drop on board for your opponent that can attack on your opponent's third turn if they played the secret on turn 2. There's some RNG involved with the 3 cost minion you get so you don't always get a good minion off Wandering Monster, but you will often enough.
That's the design goal of Wandering Monster - to punish players attempting to trigger freeze trap with a weak minion. But if in 100% of scenarios your opponents are sending in their weak minions first to either intentionally trigger wandering monster or freeze trap... by all means remove Freeze Trap and let them get punished by Wandering Monster.
Seems like this deck would need a couple more early game options and a silence option to end the game.
Not exactly the most creative deck, but I can consistently beat Warlock with it so +1
Old deck. Nothing from WW.
so force ourselves to play the new cards? they're not just good enough, and that statement is so wrong, so no one wants to know that a certain deck reached rank 1 in legend and who cares the deck is old, the meta changes, and it's fine to use old decks if it's viable
