[2x Legend #22] - Devil Druid Guide
"What happens when a dinosaur mixes soda and pop rocks."
I hit #22 on EU and #21 on Asia with this Devil Druid.
I'm Zananananan (https://twitter.com/Zanananan), the only professional Hearthstone player who has a song about his name.

1. General Gameplan
- Ramp with Wild Growth or Nourish
- Play your Charged Devilsaur, resurrect the Devil with Witching Hour and kill your opponent
- Witching Hour + Faceless Manipulator = 14 dmg
- Witching Hour + Carnivorous Cube + Lesser Jasper Spellstone or Naturalize = 21 dmg
2. Mulligan Guide
- Always keep Wild Growth and Oaken Summons
- Almost always keep Nourish, the only exception is against aggro without The Coin; keep Arcane Tyrant if you have Nourish
- Lesser Jasper Spellstone and Wrath are fine against aggro, only keep it if you already have Wild Growth or Oaken Summons
3. Stats
4. Tips
- The most common mistake is to not play your cards, it's fine to play Carnivorous Cube without Charged Devilsaur; it's better than doing nothing
- You can play around Hex and Polymorph by killing your own Charged Devilsaur with Lesser Jasper Spellstone or Naturalize
Played a version of this deck in legend with umbra+silver vanguard instead of 2x Faceless with mixed results.
This version is much more consistent.
Just managed to beat big mage after having first devilsaur polymorphed - cubed second one, double faceless the cube.
Just put the deck together, only have one tyrant. Is malfurion the pestilent a good sub for a 2nd? Thanks for sharing your build!
Update: Witching Hour brings back scarabs and spiders. Crafted another tyrant to complete the build, will keep you guys updated!
Amazing deck :) 70% winrate
what rank?
I have huge problem with early game cards... Like 1 out of 5 games I have decent hand so I can fight those bastards.. ;x
From rank 10 to 5
I'm rank 10-5, Can you give me any tips hah?
Mulligan is everything for this deck, you should always always keep growthand the summons and from there you keep nourish if you have coin, if you don't just keep it against slow decks/classes. The howl is ok to keep (Don't keep it if you don't have at least one of the cards stated above) as well, more cycle, and armor, but you shouldn't use it on turn 3 unless your hand is absolutely terrible cause the card also give syou armor and the more the better. As said on the guide playing a tempo cube sometimes is necessary, but don't always do it, if you r opponent has to much stuff on board or something strong goind for the tempo cube is ok . You should also try to hard mulligan for spellstone, wrath and swipe against fast builds, Finally against fast decks (which are your not so good match-ups) don't be scared of cubing or using a faceless on the taunt guys, it isn't optimal but if you need it just go for it waiting for the dinos against fast decks is almost impossible, you win those games but exhausting their board as effectively as possible so make effective and good trades.
I crafted this deck to try and have a change of pace for this season, and I find that I'm losing a lot. Polymorph and Hex often are used early on minions like Arcane Tyrant and Ironwood Golem before I even have the chance to summon a Devilsaur, leaving the combo with a 50/50 chance of failing before I get to it. I've also lost plenty of games playing cards and fishing for a useful draw in later game, but by that point my opponents have gotten to a point where they can win through sheer endurance, either through cards like Frost Lich Jaina, or just better board control if I didn't get lucky enough to draw Swipe.
I certainly enjoy playing this deck but not the abysmal winrate it's given me. I'm very certain it's me doing something wrong, but I have no clue how to solve the problems above which I'm commonly faced with. Any advice would be appreciated.
ha ha h 40€/h?! who is that stupid to pay you for "playing a game with you" when you babling some nonsense?
Fantastic deck!!! (Y) i just put -1 faceless and +1 umbra
edit: -1 Arcane Tyrant +1 Twig of the World Tree
so you are using both edits?
-1 faceless and +1 umbra
and
-1 Arcane Tyrant +1 Twig of the World Tree
Yes , and last night i was hit rank 3 (started with 5 0*).I must say twig can be a very key card in this deck, giving you an opurtunity to do 20mana turn so you can have the chance to poprely use umbra+cubes+devils+manipulator etc.
Thanks ripper, I share the same thoughts. I enjoy playing this deck too.
Cheap and good! I rate 6 out 5 stars!
Great deck, although I personally use -2 x Faceless Manipulator and + 1 x Spiritsinger Umbra and + 1 x Branching Paths. Spiritsinger can help push 35 dmg if you can manage to stick a Charged Devilsaur to the board. Best thing about this deck is everyone assumes you're either playing Spiteful or Tank druid. As long as you can keep it hidden until the point when you drop your first Charged Devilsaur then it gives you major advantage because they have to swap tactics to play against an OTK instead of a control.
This deck is amazing. Now after the Spiteful nerf, the decks have so much diversity, that this one actually can be an outrageous OTK to climb up.
My only change here is inserting Spiritsinger Umbra because of Polymorph, Hex or Cornered Sentry. Still chance on having a Devilsaur on board. But sometimes it helps having the Umbra.
