Hello everyone!  My name is Grilla and I am a Hearthstone player from Costa Rica.  I have been playing Hearthstone ever since Old Gods and in the 2 years of me playing, I have enjoyed it a ton.  The variety and creativity that people use in this game is amazing.

But today's deck guide is on a deck which I never thought I'd make a guide on mainly because of the enormous amounts of doubt I had with it.  This deck, in the games I have played with it, had been able to beat unfavored matchups by the slightest.  Today's deck is a Tiger N'Zoth Druid!  Let's start with the guide:

I first want to mention Ixlid over Hadronox, because I know a lot of people are going to ask me this question.  Me not having Hadronox in my collection is not the reason why I have Ixlid, but rather Ixlid, in my opinion, can grant board control in better ways.  As this is my favorite card to use on turn 9, it works really well with Astral Tiger and Ironwood Golem, as Astral Tiger is one of the best Druid cards, if not the best Druid card to work with N'Zoth, while Ironwood Golem has the ability to stop aggro and jade decks (well, jades not always, but you get the idea).   Also, Hadronox would be a good fit, but you will have to add a naturalize for it to work plus I have limited taunts in the deck so it wouldn't work like a regular Taunt Druid.   I would like for users who own both of these legendaries to test a difference in deck performance, as it helps me decide which is better for the deck.

Now, I want to talk about how this deck works.  The main cards in this deck are as followed and cannot be replaced (some could depending how you feel) : Astral Tiger, Oaken Summons, Ironwood Golem, Ixlid, Fungal Lord (depending on your collection and replaceable), Carnivorous Cube,  Grizzled Guardian (replaceable), and N'Zoth, The Corruptor.  The main point of this deck is to have board control with the Astral Tigers and other minions like Sludge Belcher and Ironwood Golem so you can have N'Zoth as a clincher or finisher (whichever is the better word to use) at the end.  To help with this, we have Carnivorous Cube to destroy the Astral Tiger and then summon 2 more when it dies, which is convenient.  We also have cards like Grizzled Guardian to recruit more Tigers.  There are many videos on this certain archetype (not my deck specifically)  including some from Firebat, Hysteria, and JackieChan, so I recommend watching those videos to see how the deck works as well.

Card replacements: -1 Ixlid for +1 Hadronox , -1 Piloted Shredder for +1 Carnivorous Cube OR Grizzled Guardian (you can also cut both Piloted Shredders for +1 Cube and Guardian if you wish).

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this guide.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask Kaladin (who helped me with the deck) or myself.  If you have any recommendations, post them in the comments section of this deck.

Update (6/3/2018): I noticed that this deck struggles with board clear and on turn 3.  To fix either the turn 3 issue or both, I made the following changes: -1 Plated Beetle, Piloted Shredder, and Carnivorous Cube for +1 Ferocious Howl, Jade Blossom (which I might remove to re-add the 2nd Plated Beetle depending on results) and Savage Roar.  Credits to Kaladin for these requested changes.

Update (6/18/18): I thought I'd give a little mulligan for those who wants to try this deck.  Over the past few days, I've played against 3 decks that this deck will struggle against, Big Priest,Renolock, and Kingsbane Rogue.  For Big Priest, you have to make sure that you kill them before they can summon their Obsidian Statue, Ragnaros, or any big minions that can ruin your board control (Disclaimer: Obsidian Statue is the worst enemy for this deck as the deck has little or no cards that can counter it well, like Naturalize, for example).  As for Renolock and Reno decks in general, try and play aggressive before they play any healing cards, high health taunts, Kazakus, or Reno.  It doesn't work all the time, however, as you need certain minions like Astral Tigers and Ironwood Golems (by themselves or resummoned by N'Zoth) plus Branching Paths (and maybe Savage Roar) to finish them off, especially against Priest as some to most Priests run Psychic Scream which will possible ruin you in the end.  As for Kingsbane Rogue, this is maybe the worst matchup besides Big Priest as there is no way to counter Kingsbane in this deck without him doing the damage with it early.

Update (7/10/2018): I made 1 change that would hopefully be able to make matches against Big Priest easier (not a whole lot, but to some amount).  I got rid of Piloted Shredder and added Poison Seeds.  I noticed recently that although Piloted Shredder is a good card, it wasn't helping the deck much.  Let me know if this is a good change to the deck by testing the change.

Update (7/26/18): I decided to remove Plated Beetle and add a 2nd Poison Seeds.  Despite the success I had with Plated Beetle in the Branching Paths + Savage Roar combo that you can pull off in this deck, I feel like the 2nd Poison Seeds is vital vs Big Priest or Recruit Warrior.  Speaking of this combo (this deck isn't otk btw), I'd thought I'd tell you guys what it is.  In a nutshell, once you play N'Zoth and summon your minions, the very next turn (depending on your board), you can pull off a trick to deal enormous damage by playing Branching Paths (double +1 attack) into Savage Roar.  It really is so fun doing this!

Update (8/7/18):  BOOMSDAY IS HERE!  Finally I get to make some changes to the deck.  Now, this might seem like a bold and risky decision to make here but I decided to get rid of 1 Oaken Summons and add Gloop Sprayer.  Despite Gloop being rated low, I can possibly see the card working with Astral Tiger really well.
