Don't be salty, these are all good advice to be considered... He may be counting on Sylvanas + Feign/Fetch combo against those big greedy decks, but I can't be sure, I still don't have all the cards required to test this deck.
I really like this deck. I made two small changes and it's been very helpful for me.
I swapped Quick Shot for Wing Blast. There have been multiple times where the 1 extra damage has been huge and occasionally being able to cast it for 1 has been great.
I also swapped out Mad Scientist for Exploding Bloatbat. The increase in mana cost isn't terrific but it helps with the aggro matchup and can be pretty great with Shaw out.
...excuse me, Exploding Bloatbat ? Heckin B-Bloatbat?
I just can craft 1: Umbra or Rexxar?
Umbra if you want to play also other decks (Big Rogue, Cubelock, ...).
Rexxar if you want to play anay (non-face) Hunter.
Rexxar definately. This card is crazy and always sees play in both formats
Dreadscale can be replaceable with Unstable ghoul or what it's the best replacement???
and about the Houndmaster Shaw and Spiritsinger Umbra what it's the order of importance to craft? i'll really appreciate if you guys recommend something
Ghoul or Abomination is OK. Regarding Umbra or Shaw - definitely Umbra. It's a Neutral, so you can use it in a lot more decks; it IS actually used in a lot of strong decks, especially in Wild; is way more important than Shaw in this particular deck. Shaw you can somewhat replace with Thundra Rhino. Less value, because it's only beasts that are affected, but still a decent body and fairly decent effect. If you use it then you'd probably want to make room for Savanna Highmane, which has great combo potential with both Umbra and Rhino.
Well, Reno is the main counter to aggro decks. What I've found Reno hunter can lack is the greed and power that some of these wild control decks have these days. A highmane against one of those decks is a huge threat that generally the opponent has to counter or else they are facing 13 or so face damage. Against the greed decks like Rez Priest, Warlock, etc., you want to turn into a tempo deck to beat them before they start pulling off their combos, and I would think this deck doesn't have the gas against those.
I dunno, I look at some cards like Shredder, Cube and Tracking and I'd replace any of those with Highmane. Heck, Cube has no real major targets except for Sylvannas, and it's really unlikely you'll get to pull that off over two turns. I'm also surprised he doesn't have Powershot in the deck. It's fantastic against aggro.
Dane's a great streamer, but I'm not sure this is the optimal Reno Hunter deck. But, I'm a nobody so what do I know?
Seent Dog playing this deck, excited to see it's a Dane deck!
Another upvote to an amzing deck that is still being updated. I hope he will come up with some ideas of other Highlander decks in classes that currently don't have one. I've been curentlly messing around with Reno Druid but it would be really interesting to see how Dane approaches this deckbuilding challenge.)
I was watching his vid earlier today of him playing this updated list. Reno hunter forever the wild sleeper! :P
Nice job Dane!
Updated and still no Highmane. Really wan't to know why he continually avoids this card in this deck. Seems like a natural fit in a highlander deck, I have it in my reno hunter deck.
Probably because Reno decks always aim to battle aggro well and if you play a 6 mana card, it better be very impactful immediately.
Where the F is sneed?!
Are umbra and dreadscale necessary?they re the only cards i don't have
I can't imagine Dreadscale is essential, but Umbra is one of the best cards in the deck.
Dreadscale replace with unstable ghoul
Thx!
Dreadscale really helps the paladin matchup, its not essential but it does put in work
