Come in and Warm your Frozen Boots by the Fire!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gunnolf, and I am originally from the Land Down Under a.k.a. Australia. I am an avid gamer that has acquired a real passion for card games, which originated from my humble beginnings as a Yu-Gi-Oh collector and eventually grew from my dabbling in Cardfight Vanguard and Buddyfight, until we reached the game we know as Hearthstone.

I've played Hearthstone since the days of classic, with multiple accounts on both EU and NA servers. Despite having reached the Rank of Legend and my own personal mentality of equating 'having fun' with 'winning', I am not really a fan of meta power-grinding & net-decking, not that there is anything wrong with that. Therefore, I enjoy thinking about new, cool and fun deck ideas that push boundaries while also allowing you to win and those are what I want to share with you guys every-time I post a decklist.

I have presently become a contributing writer to WILDHS and will be posting articles there on a semi-regular basis, regarding deck-archetypes the status of the meta as well as how to get the most fun out of this game even if you aren't a big spender. If any of this sounds interesting, then I highly recommend that you check out of the website, as the writers and the owner himself are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet with great in-game knowledge (link to be website can be found HERE). You can also follow me on Twitter for latest updates.

If you genuinely like my content and would like to see me produce more of it, then please consider supporting me on Patreon. This is by no means necessary but it will definitely help me out in the long run. Thanks for Reading ^^

Deck Introduction

Hey hey hey guys. Sorry that it's been a while since my last deck but I've been dealing with a lot of stuff on top of working 12+ hour days. However, I am happy to report that I am back and well. Anyway to the deck. Those of you who have played for a very long time will undoubtedly remember face-hunter along with its trusted companions Ironbeak Owl and wolf-rider. The best way to describe this list is as the most hyper-aggressive quick kill strategy deck you'll encounter. But in fact even that is a misnomer. There is very little strategy involved. When people say Face is the Place, this is the deck they are referring to. Hope you enjoy it. ^^

Card Choices Explained

Below you'll find reasoning as to why certain cards were included in the present list.

1) Unleash the Hounds: You know what, I want to say that there are multiple reasons for including this card, but No. This card is included as a 2 of because of flood Paladin.

2) Tracking: Fantastic top-deck spell that allows you to cycle through your deck and usually get exactly what you need to deal with the situation or finish up the game.

3) Ironbeak Owl: Silence is necessary in order to deal with Warlock as a class and taunts in general.

(At the present time, only a few cards have been listed but I will include more if questions pop-up within the comments section regarding substitutions and why other cards were included.)

Win Condition

Go Face. The end. Woof!

Alternate Card Inclusions

So guys you know that as is customary with my decks I like to get you thinking about deckbuilding. As such, when I can, I like to suggest different card inclusions. Unfortunately, the vast majority of this list is very rigid BUT you can make substitutions in the 1 mana cost slot.

I personally have included cards like Alleycat, On the Hunt, Dire Mole, Argent Squire and Fire Fly since I firmly believe that these are some of the most resilient early drops one can play in order to achieve chip damage.

Keep that in mind you can attempt to be clever and include the following three cards:

a) Brave Archer: This card does indeed work since you tend to dump your hand often enough in order to make use of the inspire effect. However, it is not extremely consistent because of cards like Leeroy Jenkins and Baku the Mooneater that can often rot in your hand. So include with caution.

b) Timber Wolf: This is not so much an early minion but rather a combo piece to use with Unleash the Hounds and tends to provide a decent amount of finishing burst with your other beasts as well.

c) Southsea Deckhand: This deck does run 4 weapons after all, so you could make use of the chargers. However, considering that Patches the Pirate does not have charge anymore including the pirate package is questionable at best.

The only real limit is your imagination. Just because these cards worked for me and proved themselves in games I played, does not that their inclusion is absolute.

Deck Alterations | Further Card Substituions

I have made some changes to the deck given the extensive amount of playtesting that I have been doing recently with Baku Hunter. I swapped around some of the removal options, most notably removing one Ironbeak Owl for a hunter's mark. However, the most important change is the fact that I added Blackward pixie and reduced the number of one drops in the deck. This cards is actually really good as it does provide a decent body at 3 mana and in addition can serve as great lategame burst assuming that you have reached 7 mana for the double hero power.

Additionally, if you do not want to run Wolfrider due to his flimsy 1 health stat-line then you can opt for Duskhaven Hunter, which is perhaps the only stat swapping worgen minion that was proven not to be God fucking awful during games on ladder.

Argent Squire is still a great minion and if you want to run it as one of the 1-cost minions in your deck then you are more than free to do so as it doesn't impact the deck all that much.

Short Mulligan Guide

No matter how tempted you may be to keep Tracking, do NOT do it. It's a good lategame card and you definitely do not want it early.

You are always looking for your one drops, so do a hard mulligan if none are present in your hand. if you are on The Coin you can also keep Animal Companion as a turn 2 Huffer or Misha is perfect for you.

Other Deck to Play With

Do you like going face? Do you like keeping your opponents constantly on the defensive (and also don't mind losing to paladin all that much)? Well then I have the perfect deck for you, which is also really cheap to craft to boot. So don't hesitate and try it out! ^^

Author's Notes

This is an extremely fun and somewhat competitive deck which I highly recommend you try out. Not much strategy is involved with the deck but the basic rules of keeping board control do apply. No need to include Deathstalker Rexxar. We do not need alternate win conditions. just hit face.

Having said that, I enjoy deck-building a multitude of interesting decks that are both entertaining and Legend viable (with some odd Free-to-Play lists mixed in). So if you like this deck (or anyone of my other ones) consider leaving a thumbs up, as it really helps in the long run! :)

Thank you guys for all your support and if you have any suggestions, let me know.
