I put this deck together because I've always liked Dragon Paladin and since most dragon decks tend to be light on spells to begin with, I thought trying it with Spiteful Summoners would be interesting.

It took some testing to balance this between being too value greedy while at the same time keeping up with aggressive decks that go wide.  This is the best formula I could come up with.

DOD update:  Our expansion is now here!  I added several cards from this expansion and they slot nicely into this deck.

Bronze Explorer:  This card is excellent.  It's similar to Stonehill Defender in that it's effectively a taunt due to the lifesteal, and it generates another card which is very important for this deck to win value battles in the late game.   It also is a dragon that generates more dragons for our hand.   This bumps Wickerflame out of the deck and the Curator package as well.   The value this card generates effectively replaces the Curator draw.

Dragonrider Talritha:   Good enough to play on 3, especially in control matchups and continues to buff dragons in your hand going forward.   If you don't have this card it's not necessary however.  Easily replaced.

Amber Watcher:   This deck tends to have serious issues with swarm aggro and this card helps significantly enough that we can remove dragonmaw scorcher.   Unlike Antique Healbot it's got a decent body and is also a dragon.  It's a nice option here.

Cathedral Gargoyle:   Not a DOD card, but it has been in the deck in the past.  I put it back in because we have enough value cards later in the mana curve, and it really helps against aggressive strategies early.

Notes on the remaining cards.

Hydrologist:   Good curator synergy and useful in slowing down aggressive opponents and holding the board early in the game.

Scaleworm: Provides mid-game board control and fetchable with Curator

Truesilver Champion:  Important mid-game board control to help you win back tight boards you're struggling to control.

Brann Bronzebeard:   This deck has a ton of battlecries and the dream is playing this alongside Spiteful Summoner.  He's very slow though so generally not useful except in control matchups.

The Curator:  This is a crucial card in midrange and control matches in keeping you in the game.

Tech Choices:

Crystalsmith Kangor, Wickerflame Burnbristle and Zilliax:  All of these are here for the aggro matchups where you often get steamrolled without the necessary life recovery.  They can buy you time to take over the mid-game.   These are all hilarious with Dinosize.

Mind Control Tech:  Since this is a spiteful summoner deck there are very few ways to deal with wide boards, this card ensures some semblance of board management.  Don't forget it has applications in control matchups too, especially big priest and darkest hour warlock.

Dragonmaw Scorcher: This is primarily in the deck for odd paladin. In some mythical future meta where that doesn't exist you could swap it out for some other dragon.

Mulligans:

You generally want to keep exactly one dragon in your opening hand to trigger your battlecries.

Against aggro:

Any two drop, MC Tech (if going second), and any Dragon.

Against control:

Netherspite Historian, Spiteful Summoner, and any Dragon.

Substitutions:

Brann Bronzebeard:  Brann isn't really needed and any solid 2 or 3 drop can replace him.  Blackwing Technician is probably the best choice.   If you don't have that Faerie Dragon is also good.  Or even an Ooze (Acidic or Gluttonous).

Twilight GuardianTwilight Drake is a decent replacement here.

Dinosize:   If you don't have this card and happen to have Lay on Hands those work OK in this slot.

Sunkeeper Tarim:   Tarim is critical in control matchups to get back board control and/or apply pressure so I don't think the deck will work very well without him but Keeper of Uldaman or Spellbreaker could be replacements.

The Curator:  This is important card draw in the deck and there really isn't a budget replacement for him, but you could swap him with another good value card if you don't happen to have ONIK cards.   Stuff like Ysera, The Lich King, Tirion Fordring are all decent replacements.
